She was right. I emerged from the Studio with perfectly blended hair. Mister said it made me look ten years younger. It matched my skin tone and did not create "the Ripple effect," which was named by my family after a particularly pleasant boss from thirty years ago who had jet-black hair. This new reddish-brown tint will allow me to blend with the audience at The Starlight Room- but not to outshine the movie. And "growth lines" will be subtle. I am pleased.

Cancelations are costly for me as I need to hire a caregiver for my disabled husband whenever I leave home. Though, the worst situation was recently when I'd just been diagnosed with a very rare, deadly breast cancer. As I was about to begin chemotherapy, I wanted to have my hair in super shape--color-wise--so I could have it totally cut off & made into a wig for the year or more of losing all my hair. I left a message to that effect. However, no one had the common courtesy/decency to even call me back. It's so incredibly disappointing to have such indifference when one is going through such a health crisis...I'd expected a tiny bit of compassion.

The shape actually turned out to be ballerina, which was also cute. I wasn't going to change her direction because I was on a time limit. And then on my ring fingers, she added accents, which wasn't by request, so I absolutely appreciate her work! She does not accept credit cards, just cash, not sure about checks. She will also offer advice on hair care or suggest a style that is flattering if you'd like a change. This is a small salon.... with very personal service and high standards.
