Well, to me, it was a band playing music and a bunch of people sitting around in the sun baking . Could the people sitting down see the band? No, not everyone. In the middle of the venue was a tent that blocked the view from everyone else. Every now and then a server would come by and hand out food, courtesy of the Omni. There were also old-timey cars and people dressed costume, but I never quite heard why. Here's my advice: If you work downtown and you need to kill an hour or so, stop by. Hey, they have a bar, so it can't all be bad, right?! If you're looking for something to do and you see this advertised, don't make a special trip.

The Moscow Mule was strong and we all agreed it was one of our favorites! There are bean bag chairs lining the road, as well as a few tables you can stand at. The live music was fun and played until well after seven pm (when the event was supposedly over). I recommend going but make sure you go on a day with beautiful weather- makes all the difference!

The glass dome is beautiful, with the city bustling outside. Winter is my favorite time to be in the Garden. The Garden, built in 1995, connects Circle Center Mall with the Conrad and parking garage. Circle Center is currently undergoing renovations, so foot traffic is low through the Garden. The Garden spans over the famous Washington Street in the heart of downtown Indy. A historical plaque describing Washington Street is located on the east side inside the dome. A sculpture hang from the roof, a small mural is on one side and plants line the central atrium. A few benches and tables are scattered for visitors to sit and enjoy the tranquility of the space. The Garden is managed by the IndyArts Council. The Council sponsors art, concerts and also rents out the Garden for events. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. City parking is available in nearby garages, although the adjacent garage was closed during my visit this week. I found free parking in the Circle.

Normal food stands are throughout the concourses with normal high prices. Bathrooms are great, big with lots of stalls. We had a friend in a wheelchair. People with disabilities have their own entrance once they get in. Ramps are used to go up or down like all stadiums have. Elevators are around, and they're slow. Look for signs. There is no where to hide a wheelchair as my friend could hobble to his seat. I found a hiding spot. A stadium we frequent has storage rooms or curtains to put them behind. An attendant helps us.

Ended up with box seats with just me and my family and enjoyed it. We did have to sit up in our seats a little to see, but that may just be my height. However , I loved how I was able to see every part of the stage and that I didn't have to look over anyone's head to try to see. The line for drinks/snacks went by quickly and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely be looking into more shows at this location.

Tickets were super affordable so I got a few for me and my family. There's plenty of free parking around the building. They also have some concessions in the lobby including popcorn, candy, soda, beer and wine, and a few basic cocktails. The volunteer ushers were so cheerful and helpful. My mom was concerned about accessibility but there are a few handicapped spaces around the back of the building and all automatic doors. I purposely picked seats in the back row of the orchestra seats since there was just one step down. But I believe they have seats along the side that are wider, more comfortable chairs and no steps to access. Plus there is an elevator to the balcony level. I thought the show was great. The costumes were fantastic! My family loved our visit and we'll definitely be back.

I visited Hendricks Live to see a children's play. I should say, the venue is officially called Hendricks Live! With an exclamation mark. As a rule, my fingers will not let me type any word or phrase containing extraneous punctuation. So, henceforth, I will be writing Hendricks Live without an exclamation. I really like that they let you eat inside the theatre. I mean, I didn't eat in there, but I like that they give you the option. They have a concession stand with things like frosted cookies, popcorn, candy, wine, beer and soft drinks. The seats have cup holders. The theatre seems relatively new and well-taken-care-of. The seats were comfy, and even though my son, who is on the shorter side, sat in back of two adults, he could still see the stage. The people who scanned our digital tickets and showed us to our seats were very friendly. The whole experience was pleasant, and we had a nice time at the theatre.

The event page said this was a formal evening, but it was pretty open. There was a good mix of party goers in Halloween costumes and fancy dresses and suits with masquerade masks. Dinner was provided by Yats. And it was really good. There was rice with gumbo, a bean and corn mix and vegetarian chili. I heard there was going to be a king cake but we never saw it. There was also a cash bar serving beer, wine and a couple of cocktails. I had a very small hurricane for $8 and my husband had a couple of beers at $6 each. Later in the night we found out there was free bottled water and soda. I loved the photo booth area. Everyone was posing for their perfect pictures.

You had to purchase drink tickets at one station, and then you would go to another station to order and pick up your beverages + The Irvington Lodge was host to the event. There was an ample amount of parking in the area. There were two main rooms, a larger open room for the band and dancing, and another with tables for sitting and food. One of the biggest downsides, to the space was the lack of seating at times + Catering was provided by Yats and Jackamos Pizza. I can't really speak to the food, but people looked like they were enjoying it, including the traditional King Cake +Music was provided by an amazing Graveyard Stompers, a Halloween Rock Band that threw in some big Jazz band as well Overall, it was a fun night out that you got to wear a fancy dress and have fun.

Unfortunately, this year the hot air balloons were not able to fly due to weather. It was too windy. It was a fun event, especially for families, there was a lot for the kids. Parking was handled well.
