As dog groomers they make excellent plumbers. They do not listen to your requests. The example…read morewould be the spray on scent they use. When asked not to use it they do it anyway. When asked not to put bows in your dogs fur they do anyway. It wouldn't be a big deal if my dog didn't have fur that partially covers her eyes. When a dog has fur that covers her eyes it needs to be there all the time. If you uncover a dogs eyes when their used to it they have problems with sunlight. Also my dog now fights not to go into their building but has never done that with any other groomer so there's something going on with that. Dogs have pretty good memories and if they like going somewhere they don't fight to keep from going in. I no longer trust them. I will never take my dog back there.

My dog has been displaying aggressive behaviours towards new people and even with some that he has…read moremet before. I have seen two other trainers who have worked with positive rewards for good behaviour. We have noticed our doing the behaviours now and looking for treats. Dave came to the house and had our dog listening to him in under 30 seconds. He modelled for me all the training techniques and showed me the options I could do for training. I was pretty disheartened with our training before and felt wonderful after working with Dave. I feel that I am going to be able to teach our dog and be much more comfortable with him around other people. I HIGHLY recommend.

I was looking around online and I came across their website and decided to email them. I wanted to know if they could help me with some behaviour concerns that I had about my puppy (such as prevention of resource guarding, nipping - nothing too major). I sent them a fairly lengthy email with reasonable questions regarding behaviours that I wanted to correct in my dog (to get an idea of how much they deal with these issues), along with questions regarding the cost of the classes and the next start date. At the very end I thanked them for their time and that I was looking forward to hearing from them. After showing that I was genuinely interested, they only replied to me with one sentence. Not even a hello, or a thank you for your interest, they didn't even answer all of my questions. They just told me when the next start date was and that was it. If someone is that disinterested in helping me then why should I bother with them? I got the feeling that they aren't too passionate about helping people so I didn't bother pursuing them. I have later emailed other dog training facilities and have received detailed responses, so I do know that there are other trainers who care about helping you and also value your interest. Unfortunately, the Winnipeg k9 education centre wasn't one of them.

I'm not sure who I spoke with, but she was exceptionally rude, and generally unpleasant. She made a point to say, multiple times, that I shouldn't bother bringing my dog for a meet and greet if he has any issues, because they only take 55% of the very best dogs in Winnipeg. This statement defeats the purpose of having a place where animals are supposed to be taken for socialization? All dogs have issues, triggers etc, and to say that your facility is only open to the best and the brightest is elitist and ridiculous. I will never recommend this place to anyone with a dog after this experience.

I gave the employee innthe grooming area the name of my brother's dog and she pulled it up. She mentioned that the dog's rabies vaccine had expired in July. I said that it was just for a nail trim, and she said that it would be fine if it was just for that. We booked a time and then at the end of the call, I asked again if it was definitely OK with the rabies expired. She repeated that yes, it was OK if it was just for nail trimming.  I showed up at the time of the appointment and she brought up the dog's profile on the screen. She pointed to the expired rabies vaccine and I acknowledged it. I said something like "yes, we talked about it yesterday." She said that she remembered talking to me, but that they could not do the nail trim. I looked at her probably a bit bewildered and reminded her of exactly what she had told me twice the day before. She said something like I must have misunderstood, and smiled. I reminded her of exactly what she had told me and asked her to please trim my brother's dog's nails. She went and got the manager, Thea, who was of no help either. She just repeated the word "policy" a few times, even though I explained the situation. By this time, I was quite annoyed, and let them know. None of our family or friends will be going back there and we have found a far better place for dog grooming since then.

I Was to take my dogs to a groomer today.2 groomers actually ,2 dogs I Had the appointments booked weeks ago ( had to reschedule once ( the groomers did ) because they couldn't accommodate 2 dogs at once on the other appointment date but today's would be fine. On arrival groomer ( Carolyn quite unfriendly, looking for ways not to be accommodating ) greeted me. She immediately asked about shots ( this had been previously verified it was our 4 th visit. after she verified the shots were all up to date with my vet . she informed me prior to calling if she couldnget the records now she would refuse service.) This was my 4 th time there! Following luckily reaching my vets office on a Sunday afternoon she informs me unless I can pick the one boxeriish mix dog right after service she would refuse service ( reactive breed ) this is why I was booked this day in the first place! The long haired northern rescue needed more time( about an hour )and I didn't want to come back 2 x an hour apart because I live about 40 minutes away! I then refused the service and told her I'd like to speak with the store mgr prior to leaving. ( I'm really not a Karen!but a rant about dogs and spas does beg the question ) So instead of allowing that she goes in the office with the mgr for about 5 minutes alone and closes the door while I was waiting outside the door! By now my boxer is getting LOUD !! and excited. So they wouldn't come from the office in a timely fashion so I told the clerk what had happened and asked for the general mgrs name and left , by now my dogs are reactive ++. So of course, Murphy's law ,they see another dogapproaching the store and they start barking and pulling. ++. I normally would bring them out one at a time but I was too hot to leave alone even for a few minutes (36c) They pull me over and drag me a bit in the parking lot . Right in front of the store doors I hadn't even gotten off the curb .Acouple of people helped me but (I always had a hold of the dogs ) . By now that mgr I only wanted to talk to was standing on the curb with what looked like a a smirk! With her arms crossed. ! I got up went to my car a few feet away and the dogs settled immediately. What I found especially disappointing was the mgr on duty didn't even bother to come 6 feet away to make sure I was ok! She was standing there watching the whole thing. I ended up with a skinned gravelled elbow ., scraped shin and cut finger Heartless folks . Wouldn't let them near my dogs again. There was one store customer who saw iwhat happened and came to the car to offer a first aid kit ( I was ok)that was very kind. I'll never give them my business again as a organization.

The cleanest pet groomer for dogs I've ever seen! The owner has allergies, so it's exceptionally…read moreand impeccably cleaned. Also, most of the work is done in the open and the dogs can move freely when they're not being groomed, except the bathing. Recently they added a dog daycare too. My dog has sensitive skin so they give her a medicated shampoo. She also needs regular grooming because she's a non-shedding breed (Airedale Terrier -- W00T terriers!). The prices are on par with other groomers, but they have a regular visit plan which is a great savings. My dog comes out looking and smelling great, and she's calm, which is a marked change from other groomers who crate the poochies when they're not being groomed. Also, Barks N Bubbles has a lovely pet boutique with lots of yummy doggie treats, leashes, food, and even costumes!

Well I had a run in with her at a restaurant next door to her business. I ordered a pizza for take out and because of the construction around the neighbourhood was unable to find a spot anywhere near the restaurant . It was definitely AFTER business hours and didn't think it would be an issue . Well wrong I was !.... The owner came into the restaurant and barked at a server ( as if she would know anyone might be parked in her parking area)....." is one of you customers with a 4x4 truck parked in my lot?" .... I said to her it's me , I'm grabbing food to go" " I WILL HAVE YOU TOWED !"..... ....no problem, I'll move it.., so I did. Obviously she never realized I was a customer for hers.... WAS !!!!! I will never return to Barks n Bubblea again. SHE HAS LOST A CUSTOMER! Ps, the server also mentioned to me how rude she was . Seeeeeyaaaaaa!!!
