Parking still can be difficult unless you get there a bit early. The venue itself is pretty cool. It is on the smaller side and I will say that the few shows I have seen here were overly packed where it was difficult to enjoy the show. The sound is good for the size of the venue. Bartenders do a good job to get people their drinks and not have people waiting too long. The smoking area is a good size which is nice. A lot of venues have a tiny smoking area so everyone is shoulder to shoulder. I look forward to my next show at the Gothic Theatre that is hopefully not going to be overly packed.

I've read they renovated and remodeled over the years since it was built in the 1920s, but they kept the authentic vintage vibe that you must see to understand. Allow maybe a little extra time for security but it moves fast. Parking is limited so do a ride share. No real seating area, mostly the upper level which has a few bar stools but that's it. So get here early because we didn't, and we were standing up there behind two beanpoles the entire time. People stick to their spots for sure. We didn't experience any service to be able to speak on it but I will hit the bar next time. Looked fun. I cannot wait to get back here and see another show.

Security wouldn't let me bring in my very fake weapons but yet one can wear spiked clothing such as necklaces, bracelets etc.... Far more dangerous than a 3d stake , glaive and foam sword. But the vampires made up for it. After I was told i couldn't bring them in while standing in a line around that lapped around the building I was offered a chance to take them back to the car. I told her i wasn't walking 5 blocks back and forth and also losing my spot in line. I politely asked is there anywhere that's posted we aren't able to bring them in and she said a sign by the front door and she wasn't aware if it's online. Now mind you if in fact it's not online for prior notice, having signs at the front door while your patrons have been waiting in line and can't see the sign by the front doors.

The Summit Music Hall is a pretty fab place! Came here for the Accept/Queensrÿche show and even…read morethough I paid for a Fast Pass, I didn't really need it. Both lines moved quickly. There were two employees checking IDs, one searching bags, two more (one male and one female) with security wands, and one last person helping to check tickets. Everything ran smooth and I was ready to rock in under three minutes. Once inside, I was able to get right to the bar for a drink and then I hopped in line for merch. Funny enough, the merch line, which is in the back of the venue, had probably the best view of the stage. The sound quality is excellent no matter where you stand. I did make my way upfront during the band changeovers. Visibility was a little more of a challenge, where I had to "prairie dog" to see the band, but the sound and energy was worth it. Bring earplugs because a day later, my ears are still a bit foggy. The balcony is reserved seating and the staff does keep it controlled. There's also a bar upstairs, so if you prefer seats with a guaranteed view, buy your tickets early because those sell out fast. One recommendation I have is that when buying the concert ticket on TM, to skip the prepay for parking. TM website lists it as Parkwhiz but good luck trying to figure out which lot/garage to use. I never was emailed the QR code (likely just a hiccup) and the TM website never loaded it (the cost was $15). I ended up at the LAZ parking garage at Wazee and only paid $10 (likely since there was no big event @ Coors). The Summit does have a food stand for those craving a pizza slice but save yourself and go to Sliceworks just up the block.

The real appeal here, at least for me it could be a deterrent for you, was that you can smoke inside! I haven't seen a bar where that is the case in a very long time and I was pleasantly surprised.

Getting through security was easy. Venue seems new, clean, and spacious. I like that the GA area is bigger than just the floor where you have to stand for hours. The majority of the seating bowl has stadium-style seating. The benches are hard, but seat cushions are available for free. Lighting on stage was rather dark, but I assume that was for the performer, not because of the venue. I'll definitely be back.

Marquis is not big in the slightest, as it holds a few hundred people max. Sure, you'll be on top of one another here, and that's not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion. I've seen 5 or 6 shows here over the past few years. They do a great job solidifying a diverse lineup of bands and artists. Just a few weeks ago, I saw one of my favorite bands, Baroness, for maybe the 6th time. They could've easily played a larger venue like Ogden or Gothic, but chose to play to a more intimate crowd. We thank you for that! The best part of the entire venue is how low the stage is and how close you can get to the bands or artists. I have some incredible footage being right next to the guitar players. It's so damn cool! Marquis is really the only major club of its kind in Denver. Things to note: it's cashless and there's no re-entry. Another cool thing is that they make pretty damn good pizza. YEP FTW? Get yourself a slice after the show if you have the patience. I'm glad Marquis exists, and I always get excited when I get to see a show here!
