The bed was comfortable and there is lots of space in the room but no drawers in the bed room. There is a safe for you to keep important items. I had very little dishes in my room but do not cook ( but there is a full kitchen) so it was not an issue for me. The staff was helpful. There is a washer/dryer combo which is a nice touch. My biggest complaint is no furniture on the balcony. You have this fabulous view and you have to stand the entire time to enjoy it. Also the music across the street can be heard inside the room. I enjoyed being able to have a drink in my room and hear a live band but others may have issue with it. They do stop playing at 10. Overall it's a great place to enjoy the view and walk around Port Credit. The Go train to Toronto is close also. I will be back for sure.

While my time in that area was most enjoyable and even at times, spectacular, in truth this accommodation was the least memorable part of the trip, and perhaps that is a good thing. The facility is right off the Queen Elizabeth Way, making it convenient and potentially, noisy. Luckily, I had a room with inside balcony, making for a quiet time. I overlooked the indoor pool which was not overly utilized, so it worked well for me. Beds were comfy, bathroom renovated, and room maintenance minimal by the staff. I had a ton of privacy. Only knock was the slow shower drain, which necessitated quick showers to avoid overflow. No biggie, but obvious that no one checks these things on a regular basis. The location was minutes from downtown Oakville, which turned out to be a blessing. My first time there, I was impressed by how well the town was planned out. Beautiful main streets, lovely nearby neighborhoods that I could see myself living in. Restaurants galore, with every ethnicity represented. My favorite meal was only 6 minutes from the front door. Made reservations through Trivago and Booking.com. Easy peasy, and priced very competitively. I would definitely stay there again if I had reason to return to Oakville, 50 km west of downtown Toronto.

This hotel is much more moderate in cost and the proximity to the GO Train allows easy access to downtown. Also, as an IHG Spire member, I am predisposed to seek out properties in this hotel family. Arriving at Pearson, I took a taxi from there to the hotel. The cost was $58 CAD flat rate plus tip. On my last stay, I had a room on the 6th floor. This worked well for me and afforded a nice view of the area. My room was clean and spacious with a pleasant decor. The bathroom was functional with an adequate amount of space. The TV offered a decent array of programming. The work area was good size and the WiFi functioned without any major issues. The bed was comfortable and the environs were quiet allowing me to get good sleep. There was a restaurant in the hotel offering an option for breakfast. I took advantage of this one morning and it was so-so. However, there were also two or three places within walking distance of the hotel. We went to Whole Foods one morning and Sunset Grill on another. The room rates were not bad for the quality of the stay and the location. The average daily rate was about $146 CAD. My total bill was just over $501 CAD for three nights with all taxes included. This was a pretty good deal. As such, I would not hesitate to recommend this place if you need a hotel in Oakville for business in Oakville or Mississauga or if you need an alternative to a downtown hotel.

I recently dined at Ancaster Mill for their Sunday buffet brunch. Price wise, the buffet is $77 per person where it is half price for children aged 5-12. You do get a time limit of 2 hours. Reservations are a must if you decide to go dine for brunch as it gets quite busy! During brunch service, our server mentioned to us that the restaurant often sees up to 400 guests come and go to dine at their brunch! The vibes of the restaurant are relaxing and tranquil, reflecting the property it is in. Upon arrival at Ancaster Mill, there are 2 parking lots you are able to park at. Once entering the restaurant, you check in with the host where you are brought to your table. Even with a reservation you may have to wait a few minutes for your table to be ready. Once we sat down, our server explained the brunch to us and mentioned that if we wanted to order any unlimited beverages such as mimosas, sparkling wine, caesars, juices, teas and coffees, we would have to let her know. In terms of the layout of the buffet, seating and the buffet stations are scattered throughout 2-3 different rooms. Food stations included: - Seafood station (freshly shucked oysters, king crab, shrimp, smoked salmon, mussels) - Carvery station (prime rib, short rib, etc., but meats may change depending on the week) - Omelette station - Crepe station (as well as pancakes! There are sweet or savoury options to create your own crepe) - Fresh pastries and baked goods (croissants, muffins, etc.) - Hot brunch food (eggs benefit, sausage, bacon, seasonal grilled vegetables, salmon/rice, potatoes, etc.) - Fried chicken and waffles - Charcuterie and meats (charcuterie meats are often freshly sliced) - Fruits and salad station - Dessert station (ice cream, pecan pie, carrot cake, brownies, apple crumble, bread pudding, etc.) The food for the Sunday buffet brunch was good! I had ordered the spicy coconut shrimp as an appetizer and was told by our waiter Jose that he would ask that the shrimp not have to have the jalapeno sauce added. However this was not the case and was served the spicy coconut shrimp. Thank goodness for water. My entree was salmon with a chick pea salad and roasted asparagus. The salmon was not cooked and was still raw in the middle. This was brought to the waiter's attention who took it back to the chef. The waiter Jose , returned stating that the chef had told him that was the way salmon is cooked and that I had not specified that I wanted my salmon well done. I have never ever had any issues with how salmon has been cooked at any other restaurants. The waiter stated there was nothing he could do about it. I was not offered to have my salmon recooked or given back to me to cook at home. The meal was not taken off the bill. This was very disappointing as our meal was expensive and our 40th anniversary dinner. I expected better customer service from the Edgewater Manor being that it is supposed to be an upscale restaurant. I was not given an apology from the chef for my meal being raw which should have been an instant response. Anyone I have spoken to about our experience are appalled at the service received.
