Former apartment or condo turned into a hotel. Super nice people at reception when I checked in. The hotel room was an old one bedroom apartment with a balcony - but with no furniture to sit on! Room was well cleaned. Nice to have a kitchen. Nice living room with LCD tv flat mounted on wall. Got a good price for a Sunday evening. Walkable to the downtown Port Credit area with lots of dining options. read more

Love the location and the view of Port Credit is amazing. It is very convenient to eating places though there is no longer a restaurant at the hotel. The bed was comfortable and there is lots of space in the room but no drawers in the bed room. There is a safe for you to keep important items. I had very little dishes in my room but do not cook ( but there is a full kitchen) so it was not an issue for me. The staff was helpful. There is a washer/dryer combo which is a nice touch. My biggest complaint is no furniture on the balcony. You have this fabulous view and you have to stand the entire time to enjoy it. Also the music across the street can be heard inside the room. I enjoyed being able to have a drink in my room and hear a live band but others may have issue with it. They do stop playing at 10. Overall it's a great place to enjoy the view and walk around Port Credit. The Go train to Toronto is close also. I will be back for sure. read more

So, we were looking for a place to stay on our way up to Montréal for a road trip. Mississauga was about halfway, so we looked at Port Credit, and decided that it would be a fun place to spend an evening after driving a while. Little did we know that we had picked a Canadian long weekend to travel and it was SUPER hard to find a place to stay with our family. We happened upon this place's website, and since we needed two bedrooms for our group, elected for the "Presidential Suite" because it was more economical than booking two separate rooms! This was a great decision. Super comfortable beds and nice, clean accommodations were a positive experience. Yes, they do have some dated décor, but honestly, are you staying in a hotel or looking for an Architectural Digest apartment? Yes, there are brass plated fixtures from the 80's all over, but again, does that REALLY have to be a deal-breaker? You cannot beat this location if you are going to hang out in Port Credit. It is central, and is awesome. Their restaurant is supposedly wonderful (and pricy), but we elected for another establishment because of travelers' preferences in our group. Clean, comfy, with good wi-fi access and all within walking distance of some fun places. Yep, it was great. Do yourself the favor and look into this place - it was worth it to us. Would absolutely stay here again! read more

I was impressed by the price, location, and cleanliness of this hotel. It is definitely a neat boutique hotel in a great location off the Snug Harbour. Everyone has to visit Port Credit which is a Lakefront Community in Mississauga, the hotel was great value and I would stay again. The only negative is I asked for a Water view and ended up with a view of the roof with leaking water. read more

Be it ever so humble there's no place like home! That's what came to mind when I opened the door to my room at the Waterside Inn several weeks ago when I stayed during a Yelp filled weekend in Port Credit. As my colleagues before me mentioned, Waterside is a fantastic boutique hotel location with excellent views of Port Credit and the Lake. The units are essentially large condos complete with the works! A full kitchen, Washer/Dryer Combo, a foyer (ya a hall way in a hotel room), large bathroom, huge bedroom with a comfortable queen bed (which I KO-d into hard one night) and a walk out balcony! It's certainly a dated looking decor in the rooms here (which is less important to me) but the creams, and pastel colour scheme, aged furniture, and appliances (namely the TV), will certainly need a facelift soon if they'd like to keep up with the boutique hotels of Toronto. On the flip side, I was pleased with hotel staff who were super accommodating and friendly, especially when I needed to get some late night colour copies done. Thanks team! I'm giving this place the extra star (to 4) because past some Grandma's house, the space is well located and comfortable. Certainly a great hidden stay-cation spot in the GTA, and I shall return! read more

Stayed here while in Mississauga to run the marathon in May and wasn't disappointed. The suite was huge which gave me plenty of space for me and all of my running stuff. The kitchen included a washer/dryer which was very much appreciated to wash all my sweaty running clothes before packing them back up. The hotel is located in the beautiful Port Credit neighbourhood, which is pretty crowded on the weekends (especially with good weather), but is extremely walkable and is adjacent to the Waterfront Trail (and associated neighbouring parks). In addition to the hotel restaurant in the lobby, there are loads of options for food right outside the front door. Restaurants are lined up and down the street and there is also a Loblaw's about a kilometre or so away if you so desire. Be cautioned that parking is not free here--they charge $10/night to park in the lot across the street, and you will find no mention of this on any booking site (some even say that parking is free--it's not). Despite this, it's a great hotel to stay at, and I will definitely look this place up again the next time I'm in the Mississauga/Port Credit area. read more

We checked my aunt in as. Christmas gift for her. The room had garage in it from the previous guests, the glasses in the bathroom had a white residue in the bottom of them, there was a can with cigarette butts in it on the balcony. The carpet is worn and faded and the couch looks saggy and worn. Expected a lot more for the price. The check in staff assured me that they would never give my aunt an invoice or bill, I confirmed that a couple of times and made it clear that this was a gift. When she checked out this morning she was given a receipt for the full amount paid. She was very embarrassed by what we paid for the room. It made for a very awkward conversation when we dropped her off to travel home. Overpriced, dirty and lied about being able to keep the receipt secret. We had hoped this could be the place for my aunt to stay every year and will now never use this hotel again. read more

This weekend, the bf and I decided to have a little staycation in Port Credit. The weather was warming up and we wanted to treat ourselves to a weekend of eating out at the great little restaurants Port Credit has to offer. We got a residential suite at the Waterside Inn, which in my opinion, is the perfect place for a little staycation! It's less like like an inn and more like an little apartment, with bedrooms, a den, a small bathroom, and a full kitchen. This would be a great place to spend a weekend getaway, or an extended period of time over the summer! Each apartment also has a large balcony for those great marina views. The rooms all have high speed wifi which seems to be much better than other hotels I've stayed at. The decor was a little outdated compared to more modern hotels - think about those times you visited your grandmothers house. Cozy and inviting nonetheless. Checkin is at 4PM and checkout is noon. (Couldn't find this info on their site so I thought I'd mention it here.) Breakfast is not included but they do have their own restaurant (Breakwater) downstairs. Tip: Parking is $10/night and located around the back. read more

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold the phone peeps. The Waterside is less like and Inn and more like an apartment bigger than I could afford when I lived in SF. My room had a full kitchen (that even featured a combo washer/dryer!), a living room, a bedroom, and a balcony. Sure the TV looked like something that sat in my bedroom in the 90s and the furnishings would have been at home in my grandmother's house around the same time. Who cares? It was clean, it was spacious, there was free Wi-Fi, room service, and it all cost me only $129 a night. That's a pretty saweet deal, friends. If you're ever in need of a place to stay in Port Credit I'd definitely recommend the Waterside Inn. read more

Last night I slept soundly at the Waterside Inn. The three glasses of sauv blanc I had across the street likely helped knock me out, but the shmooshy mattress on the four post bed surely didn't hurt my sleepy cause. The staff here are very sweet, save some overly eager maids. The rooms themselves are massive, essentially short term apartments. Hideously decorated, but really large. You win some, you lose some. If I needed to house myself in Port Credit I would certainly return to the Waterside. Alas, I have to cap this place at three stars, because I fear they are trying to trick people visiting Toronto to stay in Port Credit, and it's just too far of a drive. This is significantly farther than their advertised 20 minutes. But if this cute area of the 'Saug is where you are planning on spending most of your time, this is a great option. PEPPER POINTS: For every room having a balcony. Fresh air is a refreshing change. PEPPER POSES: How in the world does a washer and dryer in one work? That machine in the kitchen of this room was cray. read more

Unusual place. Nice rooms, nice location, nice people, but bizarre service and perplexed by the state of the room. First, we booked a kitchenette unit because of (surprise!) the ability to cook our own food and the washing machine (great for small kids). Even though it was a four night stay, they didn't deem it long enough to provide kitchenware. We arrived to a completely bare kitchen except for minor set of silverware and dishes. After several references to how kind they were being by scrounging up some pots and pans from housekeeping for us, we got two pots and two pans. No basics like dish sponge or paper towel or salt and pepper. Also they didn't provide detergent in the room. We waited over an hour to get some detergent, which they didn't bring up, but they provided only after we came down to the front desk. Second, we requested a crib and it was in our reservation notes (which I called a second time to confirm) but the crib was not in the room. I was close to panicking when they said they *might* be able to find one. They did and brought it in within the first hour of checkin. Phew. Third, the room sleeps at least five. Why provide just two towels and one shampoo set? Ask the number of guests coming in and have sufficient towels and shampoos in the room. Or at least automatically send that stuff up when you see the number of people checking in. Fourth, there is no bellhop. This is a significant issue because parking is down the stairs and across the street. There is one ramp connected to the handicapped parking spots (two next to bldg) and they had one rolling suitcase stand guests could use on their own. If someone had been parked in the handicapped spots, there wouldn't have been an easy way to unload suitcases,get them into the hotel, while dealing with small children. The main entrance is a double staircase connected down to a yellow zone. Finally, they convinced a member of housekeeping to come out and help. There's also no concierge and understaffing at the front desk most of the time. In the age of Google Maps and Yelp, that's not a big deal overall. The bigger problem I have is that the staff didn't give me accurate information about checkout. I asked two days before checkout if we may have late checkout because of our late night flight. They said to ask the front desk manager the next morning and usually 1PM was possible with a fee for staying until 4PM. We asked the next morning and were told that we were extended until 1pm and could pay the fee until 4PM. That night I asked the front desk when they need to know for sure that we would stay until 4pm the next day. I was told to just inform them by noon the next morning. So I called around 10AM the next morning and said we would stay until 4PM only to hear out of nowhere that the hotel was booked solid and it was impossible for us to stay even if we paid the fee. The three previous times we asked apparently meant nothing. After a march down to the front desk, we were extended until 4PM with no charge. Parking- it was $10/night and we weren't notified in advance. Actually the website we used to book said free parking. The lot is owned by the Marina and unaffiliated with the hotel. There is no car service of any kind (valet, unloading, etc) and no liability on the part of the hotel if something happens. Finally, the state of the room. The desk had a broken leg and would have toppled over if used. Unsafe for children. The balcony was covered in bird poop which clearly hadn't been removed for at least a month as it stained the railing even after wiped away. I've stayed at many properties with balconies, even boutique hotels, and they never were so filthy and unusable. I asked three times for it to be cleaned so my small kids could play out there and it was wiped down with a duster and broom. Only after an email to the manager did they come to mop it and though I appreciated the cleaning, they carried a wet mop covered with the poop back and forth across the rug. There was a dead bird outside the master bedroom window which they had no way of removing. The balcony screen was broken and could allow bugs in. Overall I'd stay there again if I wasn't with small children because the rooms were comfortable but anyone should prepare themselves for two star service and housekeeping. read more

Pros: hotel staff is nice, bed is soft (although my feet hung off the bottom) and the room service is delicious-try the lobster grilled cheese and green salad. Yum! The decks in every room are pretty cool and the location couldn't be better. Cons: Hotel is in need of an update-interior is old, shower head feels like you're getting pelted with one of those teeth brushing water picks and the internet is a very unfortunate situation. In and out of service doesn't make for being very productive when you're here for work. Oh and the tv is only in the living room. No relaxing and watching tv in bed here. Thin walls and a lot of street noise too. Unfortunately, based on above I would not stay here again. read more

Underwhelming place at the very least. The hotel is in need of a renovation. Check in is supposed to be at 3 pm but at 3:45 pm they were still "working" on my room. The room I ended up in this time around had a gas fireplace that randomly turns on and off on its own (I woke up at 2 am by the fireplace turning on), a dripping faucet, and open water bottles in the mini fridge. I reported the issues at 7:30 am and when I returned to my room after a long day of meetings, there was no sign of maintenance - everything looked the same. I ended up sitting and waiting for maintenance to show up until 10:30 pm instead of being able to go to bed. This was really frustrating. The staff doesn't seem to act in a timely manner. There is not much of a lobby to sit down at and no gym. Breakfast at the restaurant hotel is expensive but pretty decent. read more

Hotel is in dire need of a renovation or facelift. Rooms are right out of the late 80's lotsa gold!! Gold fixtures, gold handles, gold everything. Book from Expedia, $50-$70 cheaper and they won't budge from the front desk price!! read more

Room was dirty with a layer of dust on counter tops, WIFI signal was very weak, and keys stopped working often and had to ask for new keys almost every day. Rooms are subpar with mismatch furniture. Overall it was disappointing experience for the money we paid. read more

A huge disappointment after I was charged an additional fee to park my car and woke up to a huge garbage can that had blew onto the passenger side of my car - although a hotel security camera was directly facing my car - the hotel claimed it was not working - they did offer me 25 percent off my next stay and accepted no responsibility for the non--protected parking spaces they charge you to park - the Internet was hit and miss - I would not stay at this establishment again ever. read more
