That was only the outside. When I looked inside - that was the real tell. My dog rides in the car (and sheds). I couldn't NOT find a dog hair anywhere! They even got a little stain out of the seat. I wanted to like this place since it's right down the street from me. I made an appointment via text and when I showed up, I was met with a combative look from the lady greeter. She looked at me like I wasn't supposed to be there and in a most uninviting tone, asked could she help me. I explained I had an appointment and was told I would get a quote when I let them check my 2019 Toyota Sequoia out. She looked it over without looking inside and told me.$395. My car isn't that dirty so I was a bit shocked. I told her to eliminate the shampooing over the upholstery and she knocked off $100. Fine. I will say that they can clean a vehicle. They do an excellent job vacuuming and wiping down the interior. For $295, they ought to be good at that. They told me my vehicle would be ready at 4:30. After several unanswered texts, I ubered backup there at 5:00. They then told me to come back at 6:00. When I ubered back, yet again, with my 5 yr old daughter in tow, it still wasn't ready. I had to sit outside for 45 minutes while they finished. She made sure to tell me they had plenty of cars cleaned while mine was there. Maybe mine was on the back burner. Finally, it was ready. There were silicone spots or whatever shiny product they use on the tires in several places on the body. I had to borrow one of their towels to clean the ones I saw off. There were many more when I got to really check out the vehicle. Now the reason I'm even here spending the time on this review is because they damaged my vehicle and not only denied it, but did it in such a rude way. I will share the pic. There's a piece of leather that connects the steering column to the dash and they ripped it while cleaning it. They tried to deny responsibility, but I know for a 100% fact, without any question, they absolutely did it. I had just gotten back from 2 road trips. One 6 hours round trip and the other was 20 hours. My car is still pretty new since it's a 2019 and I just had 30+ hours to stare at this piece of leather. They ripped it and won't even consider participating in the repair. This is a characteristic I wish I had known about this business before I had gone. Poor poor character. They denied it and I know for an absolute fact, they ripped it when cleaning it. A more minor issue, they knocked off my security light that was fixed to the windshield. No big deal, I'll handle that in a jif. If you don't mind risking damage to your vehicle and the place of business rudely telling you to pound pavement, give them a shot. I do not support liars and surely won't support a business who operates with this complete lack in character. I say give the business to someone who will own their mistakes. read more

I love this place!! After researching several places that provide a quality hand wash, I finally settled on The Better Image Detail works based on all of the positive Yelp reviews. Upon arrival, I am always greeted as I pull up. I am big on customer service and this establishment did not disappoint. They are family owned and it shows with their hospitality and quality of their work. I've only gotten the interior/exterior cleaning and I've been amazed each visit. I have not yet had my car a month and it has look 10 times better after every visit (2) then when I drove it off of the lot. Based on just the hand wash, I am looking forward to when I need a full detail. If you looking for high quality hand wash or detail, look no further than this place. Do not expect to be in and out in 15mins as they take their time with each vehicle which leads to a long wait. Before owning my new car, I always washed my car myself and used to think I did a pretty good job... Anthony and his sweet daughter put my car washing skills to shame. Their exterior car wash is hands free assuring no scratches on your paint. It does take some time since it is all performed by them. They both are so bubbly and sweet, I enjoyed sitting there and watching them clean. Such a cool relationship they have. They genuinely care about their business too. I love to have small business owners shake my hand and introduce themselves. He joked and said "I hope you like really clean cars." I honestly don't think my car was this clean coming off the lot. I must say my vehicle hadn't been this clean in a long time. The customer service was great and they were very attentive to every nook and crannie of my vehicle. And each time the same lady was a bit rude and acted annoyed that I was asking questions in the first place. Each visit was at least 7 months apart. They also don't answer the phone. I had my Ford Explorer washed at The Better Image Detail Works and they did an amazing job! They wash all cars by hand. I asked them to clean the interior and exterior and they did what would be considered detail-quality work for most places. It is amazingly inexpensive for the high quality of service they provide. It is a family owned and operated business. It took about 1.5 hours so don't expect it to be a quick stop. They have a couple of picnic tables with umbrellas or you can sit inside the Subway at the gas station in the same parking lot. It looked like most people dropped off their cars as there were plenty of cars but I was the only person waiting. Highly recommend!!! read more

Fantastic service! After a couple of months of not being cleaned, turning the fan on in my car turned it into a snow globe, but with dog fur instead of snow. I called ahead and warned that this would be a bigger than usual job. No problem! I dropped my car off, walked to the nearby Starbucks to have a coffee and wait, and in about an hour my car was ready. All the dirt, dust, paw prints, and nose marks on the windows were gone! My car was clean, inside and out. And they only charged $25 + &10 for pet fee. Super fast, super nice, super reasonable. Note that this location is on Byhalia on the west side, just north of the railroad tracks. It is not the big chain place, but a smaller, stand-alone car wash. read more

So I found this place on my favorite site...Yelp. I just bought a 2016 Honda Pilot and no automatic wash is touching my car. So...I went looking for a hand wash car wash and I hit the jackpot!! This place drips with quality service. He washed the mess out of my car. Now don't go there expecting him to be done is 15 minutes. This man takes his time and it is done right. The price is reasonable and he and his family are super nice. He even took the Wolfchase Auto sticker off my car!!! He said... "Wolfchase ain't making any payments. Advertising isn't free!!" He was funny. Gave me some websites when I could get some mats for my car and a new plate frame. I like him. I will definitely be telling my friends and coming back. They actually did a good job on the inside but it was raining so they didn't do the outside, but told me to come back when it was nice outside. I live in Illinois just outside of Chicago. Every time I'm in town I take my truck to Mr. Bell and his family for a good cleaning. He washes it like I would, and I grew up washing cars. When I visit family in the south now, I don't even take my car wash bucket. I check into the hotel and the next stop is perfect image. I can't say enough about this place! Upon opening the door, I told them it was my first time coming there, so what should I expect to be cleaned? There was a spot on the rear armrest, and the lady gladly cleaned it. Soon after, the guy came out and said I was being picky. I told him it was my first time, so I just wanted to know what to expect next time. He proceeds to tell me no to bring my s@#* back again. Have to agree with the other 1 star review. Not a reliable place. The first time I tried this place was a couple months back, I showed up at 9:00 am on Saturday which is the time they advertise to be open and no one was there. Someone finally did show up around 10:00 am only to inform me and the other car waiting for them, that they were being kicked out of their old location. Second try was this past Sunday at their new location, when I was told by the owner they would be open at 10:30 Sunday morning which is when I showed up. Again no one was there. Waited for about 30 mins and bailed. You are better off washing it yourself. Or maybe wait halfway through the advertised shift to show up and maybe you might find someone there read more
