Very helpful. Great stuff. I bought a beautiful old wrought iron gate for a very fair price. Lots of other architectural offerings.

We have been here several times. The Vermont Antique Mall is just that, it's a supermarket of…read moreantiques. If you are looking for something very specific, you will most likely find it here. There are several floors with aisles of merchandise. You can spend hours browsing for items. It's located in a strip mall with other shops including where you can purchase Vermont Cheese and Maple Syrup. You can also sample wine and spirits nearby. On nice days they sometimes have a flea market in the parking lot with all sorts of items including antiques. There is always ample parking. A must stop if in Vermont.

We entered through a door with a giant bear next to it for photo opps, and into the part with all kinds of fun Vermont (maple) treats, drinks, and other snacks. Then there was main floor, upstairs, and downstairs to see. Missed downstairs since I heard that was mostly furniture, and I spent about 2.5 hours scouring all the rest. Prices were all over the place, as is so often the case with antique malls. Bargains and Zingers abounded. Because I bought so many smaller items, it overwhelmed the young man doing the check out, and it soon before they were closing. He did not know how to prioritize, and unlike the ladies that opened the 2nd register, he did not go over all that I bought, confirming the details, which frustrated me, because I'm pretty sure I got overcharged for a couple things. So, make note, and add up stuff yourself if you are buying more than a handful of items. The staff sprinkled throughout to help open cases to show you merch were all very friendly and eager to help. If you're antiquing through New England, I definitely think this should be on your list!

GF and I love our adventures. After leaving a wedding in Rutland, we drove some scenic roads back…read moreinto MA. Part of the way home, we spotted the Twitchell House on the left side of route 30 as we were motoring South. The Twitchell House is seriously an entire house (and barn and tent and yard) full of antiques. We probably spent two hours poking through all the rooms, digging up all sorts of neat little trinkets. GF got a soldering iron shaped like a pistol and some funky tins. I got a mid-century cake tin for a baker friend, an old glass ink well, a set of 1920s fake pearls, a 1940s black fox muff that I am so excited to rock the hell out of this winter...I think that's all I got...but it definitely wasn't all I wanted to get. The owners are also pretty awesome, and super chatty. They love their collection and they've carefully labeled everything in the building. If you're ever in Southern Vermont looking for an adventure, this is definitely a worthwhile stop.

I have to wholeheartedly agree with the other reviewer...this place is amazing. Southern VT has a…read morelot of antiquing, but this place is the most bohemian. Prices were flexible and low, there wasn't a single item I looked at that I wasn't willing to pay full sticker price. We are trying to keep our place minimal and we have all of the furniture we need, but we did get these two amazing rugs. She did say that she usually doesn't do rugs, but that she got these on a gut feeling. They are in tough shape, and in need of a good cleaning, but they were a CRAZY good deal and exactly what I was searching for. If I were opening a restaurant or a boutique, or just looking to furnish my place, I would schlep up here as my first stop.
