The young lady didn't make room for me to look, but hey, we're still kinda in the midst of COVID, so I made my way to an opposite wall where I looked at a shirt. It didn't have a price so I asked a second young lady, "How much?". She acted as though I was bothering her when she came over, looked at it, told me the price (without making any eye contact), and then went back behind the counter. That's when I noticed the first young lady, that was previously at the earrings, went behind the counter. The bell went off in my head, "oh she works here." It was at that moment, I said, "Let's go!" I realized they were both being rude and possibly didn't want "me" in the store. I was going to keep it to myself, but my friend said, "Wow she was rude." That customer looked uncomfortable with all the fuss and attention and chose to walk the store quietly and subsequently left without purchase. In the next five minutes I was there, every person who came in was greeted or some other contact was made. There is only ONE obvious difference between myself and the others that came thru that door. Piss poor behavior in 2017. I dine and shop in this area frequently and have never had an issue until now. After the fact I learned this appointment was past the stores normal business hours. When I arrived at the appointment she had a well presented snack and beverage ready for me and my friend. She also had an entire rack of clothes ready for me to try on as per my needs. She was very patient with me trying on clothes, took my opinions and critiques to heart, and came back with different selections based on that input. She was never pushy with me and even made a point to iterate that she did not want me to buy anything that I was not comfortable with. I left with several articles that day. She personally made an appointment for me at The Full Cup at La Promenade - another highly recommended boutique. The clothes that she has are of exceptional quality - something Mary prides herself on. I wear a pair of paints that I bought that day at least 2 or three times a week and they look fantastic. I purchased the pants 4 months ago and they hold up as if they are new. Since my first purchase I regularly receive emails and cards. The correspondence does not always promote the store, sometimes it is just to keep in touch. Mary greatly cares about her business and she does this by genuinely caring for her customers. The employees/cashiers get you in and get you out. On any given day the checkout line can be wrapped around the ropes, but the wait time is usually less than five minutes. But Ross has it all. There is something here for everyone in the family. From the newborn child to your pet cat. This store is located in a shopping center among other popular stores such as TJMaxx. Just a short walk, you will see other stores such as Total Wine. This area is awesome... eateries are nearby, a grocery store, mom and pop shops etc. There is plenty of parking.
