I'm not typically someone to leave a bad review. My experience at Perky Peacock today, however, needs to be shared since people use Yelp to decide where they want to spend their time and money. Both are precious, especially these days. If you don't want to read the whole thing: I've shopped here for years. The older lady who works here, with reddish hair, was rude and dismissive. Shes been rude before. This was the last time I'll be at Perky Peacock. When I shop here I typically spend a decent amount as I have a larger chest and they have many bras to choose from, as well as quite a selection of clothes. I've lost some weight in the past six months, but haven't updated my bra drawer so I decided to visit perky Peacock. I need an accurate measurement to buy some new bras as well as some clothes for a trip I have coming up. When I went in a young woman asked if I needed any help and I said I needed a bra fitting. She didn't have experience in fittings so she led me to the counter, where there was an older woman who would be able to help me. She groaned, looked extremely annoyed, and asked if I would be in the area for the next hour as another employee had just gone to lunch and she was helping another customer (I was the only other person in the shop outside of the two employees.) It looked like she was doing inventory from what I saw, but maybe she was working on a large order for someone who was coming back? Either way, l told her I wasn't sure but would shop for a while. When she realized I would be sticking around to shop she asked if I knew what band size I was. In which I replied, "No, that's part of the reason why I need to get fitted." She made another annoyed sound, rolled her eyes, and mumbled something to the other employee as I walked to a rack to peruse their sundresses. I didn't let on that I had heard her mutter to the other employee. She has been rude before to myself and other customers and I didn't have any desire to buy anything at that point. I just calmly walked out of the store shortly after. I'm writing this because I was treated as a burden and an annoyance. To treat someone so rudely who could be spending hundreds of dollars, or even someone just window shopping, at your establishment isn't ok in the least. I try to shop local. I love this town and I love the many shops around here. Unfortunately, there aren't very many locally owned places that cater to undergarments for women. So, I'll be heading out to get fitted at Soma and buying my bras and other various items somewhere else from here on out. read more

Have shopped here with my daughter numerous times! Always nice and friendly. Their Bra fitting is beyond helpful!

She was very ugly to me the whole time. I asked her if she had a bag or basket for my items because I wanted to get a bunch of items. She acted very confused, " A bag?" she said. I explained to her and she raised her voice and said "No, we do not ! " I asked her to leave the bra up front for me. During this two other staff members are watching and not offering any alternative customer service to help out their store. I really did not feel welcomed after that and told them that ( the older lady with red hair ) was not very nice and made me feel uncomfortable so I will not be taking the items and I left the store. The other ladies working had the same attitude. So sad that people are treating other people crappy. I would not think the owner is paying y'all to scare away customers who are trying to support small local owned business. What's going on here?? read more

If zero stars were available for today's visit that's what would be selected. I had a general simple sizing question and asked the old red headed woman named Kay. She responded in a loud rude manner. She told me to wait and she would answer a simple question when she was done. Another sales person overheard and asked Kay if she wanted her to help us. She raised her voice and told the young girl NO. We are regular shoppers at perky peacock and after today I will not be back nor will I spend my hard working money there again. I first arrived at the Perky Peacock 2-3 years ago for a dear friend of mine's bridal/lingerie shower. The staff was friendly and the experience was so much fun that I knew I would have to return for my own bridal shower one day. Fast forward to me getting engaged, Ms. Donna was easy to work with and so accommodating. The morning of the shower I arrived at the store to try on things and build up my registry and I had a blast. The staff answered all of my questions and I felt so confident and excited (I've never worn lingerie before). Angela was especially the sweetest person that helped me out. She is a natural at her job and making people feel so at ease and beautiful. I will now be a forever customer at the Perky Peacock because of her. Finding bras in my size is very difficult. I'm 5 ft tall and I wear a 36DDD. On top of that, I have round shoulders. I can't wear the typical bra because the straps fall down. I can't walk into any place and make purchases. It has to be a boutique, who then has to order my foundation garment size. I'd been driving up to Austin in the past, but remembered the Perky Peacock. This afternoon, I drove into New Braunfels and met up with a girlfriend for lunch. I remembered I needed to go to the mall to pick up some panties for a Lingerie bridal shower tonight and but didn't want to be stuck in traffic, deal with weekend parking and crowds. So I looked online and saw this cute boutique 3 min away from me. We went in and not only did I find my gift for the bridal shower, I found some cute things for myself! I am 78 with all the droops, sags, lumps that sometimes goes with age. I needed a good fitting bra, but was a little shy about going in to be fitted with my poor aged little body. Super disappointed in the employees attitude and their customer service. After a long day of shopping my mom was super excited to go to this store as she typically loves coming here. Unfortunately after today I'm not sure if we will be returning. She simply needed a bra fitting and after waiting 15 minutes for someone to even approach us an employee came over on her phone. My mom stated that she just needed help finding the correct size and the woman replied "I'm actually helping two other customers so you're gonna have to wait." No problem, that's fine. While we were waiting we decided to try and look for ourselves as it had been 20 minutes at that point. She found a few she thought would work and headed over to the fitting rooms. After waiting another 15 minutes and watching employees continue to stand by silently or be on their phones we ended up leaving. Not only did this upset me but it physically upset my mom and is definitely not the way to run a business. To the owner of the Perky Peacock, do better. read more

It is an adorable boutique in the heart of downtown New Braunfels with the cutest clothes, shoes, jewelry, but most importantly, bras and lingerie to fit everyone. They offer custom measurments and fittings to find the perfect fit for you. The owner, Donna is the sweetest and her staff is just as great! Everyone is so helpful and that's something you have to have when bra shopping. They keep up with the most modern and up to date looks and when there's a sale, you better get over there! My experience was great. I love the apparel. Don't understand why Lulu's review was accepted. How would a customer know personal information about the owner and employee's business relationship? Went shopping with my aunt and sister. While my sister was getting fitted she was asked if she was a man. My aunt is a xxl and after showing off the shirt another employee said "it's cute I wish they had it in regular sizes" regular??? And then as I was paying for my things ANOTHER employee said, in a blatant attitude, "her AUNT is paying for these (gesturing to the things my aunt was buying for me) NOT her". I went to the Perky Peacock to be sized. I was wearing my mask and was shocked to be greeted by unmasked employees. The employee took me into a small dressing room to measure me, totally unmasked. I became very concerned and got out of the dressing room as fast as possible. During this pandemic and with COVID 19 cases rising, I felt this was totally irresponsible and inexcusable. As our state opens up, businesses need to be responsible. I wanted to shop. I went there respecting others with a mask, but felt totally disrespected. Today was my first visit and I am absolutely in love with this place now! First off, Shannon was awesome!! I cannot express how comfortable she made me feel and how quick and easy it was to get fitted and for her to find me the perfect bra(s)! She didn't even use a measuring tape, she just looked at "my girls" and came back with a bra that was perfect for me. Bra Heaven does exist. Shannon helped me in an emergency situation AND still managed to be sure she fit me in the perfect bra. She gets it. My girls actually look smaller in the right bra (36J) and I am more comfortable. Better posture too. They have tons of colors, sizes and brands but will order you what you want if they don't have it.
