I have shopped at dancing pony a couple of times and the experience has always been great until it wasnt. I bought a top back in july that I finally decided to wear and it came undone before I could actually wear it. That is pretty sad considering it has tags on and has never been used. I opted to call the store to see if there was anything that could be done since again this item was new and unworn but the owner im assuming was very rude and unprofessional. I explained the situation and she said "honey it was purchased in july, it is now november. We have a 14 day policy which you are lucky we even have that since most stores dont have that". Well actually most stores have a 30 day policy and are much nicer to customers unlike her especially with defective items. I explained to her I would make sure to never shop there again since she continued to talk down on me and treat me as if my concerns didnt matter. So now I am basically SOL on this item because of their poor quality in clothing. This store is not worth the money especially if the items that are brand new will not hold up and management will not do anything about it. Again, do not purchase from here unless you want unraveled and unwearable clothes. read more

Yesterday event Dancing Pony participated which I have been in the shop before but this gave me a chance to check it out and get a great deal which I'm a sucker for. Lesley was so helpful outside with with an item or a price, and as I went in the place with just loaded with all kind of cute fashion wear. Lovely little boutique in downtown New Braunfels that carries high-end clothing and much more! We popped in and had a good look, the Dancing Pony has so much to offer the hot little ladies of New Braunfels! I came across custom made jewelry, shoes/sandals, an entire Miss Me section, and a wonderful room dedicated to sale items. The service goes above and beyond, very nice people. We were quickly greeted and the sweet salesperson ushered my husband to the back of the store to watch the basketball game and have a beer. What a win win! He relaxed and I leisurely shopped. I really like Dancing Pony. I frequent quite often and have bought clothes, purses, jewelry and shoes there. They carry Miss Me, Yellow Box, Brighton, etc. One time I found some custom hand made jewelry that I receive a TON of compliments on. They have some really high end purses that are just Fabulous. I was really excited to go to this place since I saw it was voted one of the best boutiques in Texas. I was very disappointed as soon as I walked in. No one greeted me or my boyfriends mother at all. I was looked up and down by staff but nothing was said to me. It had some cute clothes but appears to be an older woman's boutique. I waited 5-7 minutes at the register for someone to acknowledged me and open a dressing room for me. I ended up not buying anything after the way I was treated. My boyfriends mother however did buy some Brighton jewelry and was still not thanked when purchasing or said much too. We left and it was awkward. I will not be going back which is sad because I love to support local boutiques and businesses. read more

I always loved shopping at this store but today I had a very bad experience. I purchased a blouse that i was not happy with. I took it back to the store for an exchange. I did not have a receipt but I knew I had not had it very long. (it was 37 days ago) Return policy is 30 days. I was told by the owner they would not refund or exchange. As I was walking out the door with the blouse it caught on a very rough jagged knot hole on the door frame. It pulled the crochet off the neckline by about 3 feet. The sales lady came over to the door and saw the yarn still attached to the door frame. I left the blouse with the store and asked if they could repair it. The manager called to tell me that they could not do anything for me. It was my fault for not having it in a bag. I explained that it was the door frame with the jagged edge that caused the damage. Her explanation was that it was an old building and that if they refunded everyone who brushed up against something they would be refunding clothes all day. I told her to keep the blouse. If you know of someone who can crochet, please feel free to go by the store and pick it up. read more
