We have been coming to the Pet Groomers for over a year and are so happy. When our dog is scheduled, he gets in right away and doesn't wait in a kennel for hours. I was not informed and showed up for my dog's appointment to have a man I'd never seen before say he was taking over her appointments, perhaps the owner? Upon arriving into town, I called to see if Jack the Dog could get a grooming. Their hours are advertised as beginning at 8a. They were there and said he could get in today at 10:15a! My guy is older (11.5 years) and I asked how long it would take as he gets stressed out. They texted me at 11:40a telling me his grooming was complete! Jack the Dog came out perfectly coifed and happy. That made this gal happy. Along with the calm atmosphere, easy parking lot, and wonderful groomer, Jordan -- I will call them every time we are in town. I'd give a 10 out of 10 stars, if I could! read more

If you are looking for horrible customer service and unprofessional staff, The Pet Groomers is the place for you. I took my dog there and they said it would be about an hour. After two hours I called and they said they didn't know when he would be done and couldn't give me an update. I showed up 30 minutes later and the receptionist stated he still wasn't done. One hour later he was finally done. Apparently it takes 3.5 hours to groom a chihuahua. They overbook and have horrible time management and don't respect other people's time. Made an appointment online for my cat, they were booked out for two weeks but I thought since they had good enough ratings it would be worth it. Finally the day comes I get there 10 minutes early (my appointment is at 11), my cat is freaking out a bit cause there's so many dogs but I expected that. I end up waiting till 11:15 before they even asked me for my name and then they told me they had my information but could not find my scheduled appointment and the finally one of them said "oh but we only take cats earlier in the morning cause of all the dogs." Thanks for making me wait 25 minutes before letting me know. Horrible customer service, will not recommend to anyone, go somewhere else and save yourself time and money. read more

Called to get my pug in for a nail trimming and they were able to get me in the same day --- then they called and got me in even earlier!! The girl who assisted me (I did not get her name) was super friendly and made my Winston feel at ease. Although Winston was not amused about getting his nails trimmed, he was done in less than 10 minutes. I HIGHLY recommend this place for your fur babies! read more

Used to come to Becki h. regularly to groom my dog. She cut my dog, did not tell me. When i got home my dog was licking her stomach and there was a yellow powder on her nipple that she pretty much cut off. Took her to the vet immediately and they were in shock that this business was so unethical with their practices. Would never come back , found a better replacement recommended by intermountain gals! I just took my American Bully there today and I absolutely love them. I just moved to Boise and was looking for a groomer and came across them. They took such good care of him and did an extra bath with his special shampoo since he has so many skin conditions. They listened to all of my requests and did an amazing job! It was a bit farther than I would have liked, but for my fluffy babies I would try him. From day one you could really tell Charles cared - about his service, the comfort of the dogs, their health, and making sure we received the cut we wanted for our babies. He has been with us through geriatric, blindness, cancer, wild child puppy, scheduling around our work hours, and accommodating snowstorms. We now live in the Idaho City area and you better believe we did not even consider going anywhere else. It is well worth the trip. ALL of the staff is friendly, helpful, kind and caring. For us it is the only groomers in and out of town. London (Shihdoodle) and Daytona (Labradoodle) agree! read more

PET OWNERS BEWARE! This business does not know the meaning of customer service. They made a pretty big mistake when I brought my small CockaPoo (female dog) in for a grooming appointment a few months ago. We gave the directive to "just do the same as the last time" when we dropped her off since she had been in before and we were happy with the result. When we picked her up a few hours later, my adorable puppy was unrecognizable. She was shaved so short that you could see the color of her skin below her coat, and she is a dark black dog. Her beautiful curly coat was gone. When we realized they obviously made a mistake, the employee said "that's what we did before" over and over, didn't acknowledge that this was very clearly NOT what they had done before, and still forced us to pay the normal fee. Many days later, I finally received a phone call back from the shop manager and she said they had used notes on our account from our OTHER dog instead of the dog we clearly dropped off and made the appointment for. Our other dog, who had been in a few weeks before, is a LARGE BORDER COLLIE FULL GROWN MALE DOG who we do have trimmed very short during the summer months. The manager didn't really apologize for their mistake, but did say we would get a free grooming on our next visit. Fast forward to today when we finally decided to give them another try and have our complimentary service done, assuming, the same mistake would like be made again. BUT instead of any apology or even the slightest act of customer service, we were told that the old manager was fired and they could not honor anything she promised us. They went as far as to say they have "NEVER given a free grooming" and their owner would never approve something like that. Remember, it was THIER MISTAKE to begin with. They referred to notes that THEY inputted on THIER system about my dog (a completely different breed & gender) and followed them. They then proceeded to tell me that it was my fault that we didn't give them better instructions and they can't possibly keep track of different dogs because "They cut 100's of dogs hair". The conversation got heated, and the girl behind the desk was incredibly dismissive and rude. I actually cannot remember a time that I was treated so poorly by a business, especially when the mistake so clearly landed on them. I told her at one point that if they had, from the beginning, just acknowledge they made a mistake and offered to make it right, we would definitely had been return customers for the lifetime of both our dogs. NOW, I will never ever trust my animals with such an irresponsible business, and I want to make sure others are warned about their terrible business practices so no one else has to experience what we did. Finally, after explaining to them that none of this could possibly be blamed on me, they VERY RELUCTANTLY, and with an incredible amount of attitude, said they would not charge for the service rendered that today and said I needed to leave. As I left the store, the girl behind the counter yelled "what a F*CKING B*TCH" to her other co-workers. Very classy! Moral of the story, this company clearly does not value their customers and is very short sighted. I wouldn't trust them to do the right thing in any situation. read more

I really really wanted to have a good experience here and was convinced based off of all the wonderful reviews but unfortunately my dog's haircut is so so so short and fairly patchy. I had also asked for a shave on my dog's belly because her belly area had gotten some mats with the wet weather but now she is totally shaved all across her belly and all the way up her backside. It looks very strange and with the shortness overall, she has hardly any coat for winter either. Another thing is, my dog is about 10 months old and I've been bathing her, giving her haircuts with trimmers, brushing and combing her several times a week, and using scissors for any mats or things she gets stuck in her fur every month since she was a small puppy. But after leaving the groomer she was so shaky and scared and would not come out of the cage she was waiting in even after I was there and calling to her. I was told they had to use a muzzle on her because she was very upset, which is understandable because they have to keep safe as well but overall it just was not a great experience. read more

Sarah groomed our elderly and recently diagnosed teacup poodle who has terrible grooming anxiety was in bad shape from being so overdue for a groom. I have tried to keep mats off and regularly bathe him but his sudden skin condition was preventing us from being able to have him groomed. I told her about his issues and that I didnt expect her to be able to get him all groomed in one visit and left. Upon returning she not only had him perfectly groomed but she was sincerely concerned for him and the condition he was in and how our last groomer was basically ignoring an entire nail and had to dig it out of his pad. Our dog was calm and happy and content when I picked him up. She also had wonderful customer service skills and acknowledged the tip I gave and then was so polite and grateful which you just don't see anymore from anyone. She is a great groomer and the facility is cute, secure, clean and even smelled good. read more

I just happened to stumble upon this new salon when visiting the fish store next door. I could see how gently they were handling the dogs through the window which led me to stop in. My little Yorkie has had some bad experiences at other groomers which has caused me to be extremely skeptical of taking her anywhere. I am so excited to say that I absolutely loved the care she received here! Anna really listened to what I wanted for her cut, and Tessa looked adorable when I picked her up.
