They take pride in their venue and the personalized, thoughtful, and unique setting they provide. Margie has been planning weddings for years and her experience was incredibly helpful for us during the planning process as she asked questions and gave suggestions on things I never would have thought of without her! The Barn at Highpoint Farms offers SO much- first, they are a flower farm as well as a wedding venue. This means that we were able to use fresh cut flowers for our bouquets, table settings, ceremony décor, and got to take pictures in flower gardens that had the same flowers used for our wedding in them. The flowers were stunning, smelled and looked fresh, adding to the ambiance. The arrangements were well thought out and better than I could have imagined. Second, they offer some housing on site! Along with the ceremony space and the barn for the reception, there are two houses and a couple's tree house on site that you can rent for additional spaces to stay. We did a premium package where both houses and the tree house were included in our weekend. GREAT DECISION! This meant that we, plus our wedding party, had somewhere to stay Friday AND Saturday night that was right on site. Everyone commented on how much they loved that they didn't have to commute back and forth from a hotel, and that they got to enjoy the peaceful scenery of the farm all weekend. Plus no one was late or had any mishaps. We loved the venue so much that we had our rehearsal dinner there Friday night plus the wedding ceremony and reception there Saturday. It was so convenient and really reduced stress having everything in one place for the entire weekend. Finally, there is so much to do and see on the farm! It feels like a magical place, and they have done an excellent job of preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the farm. Everywhere you look there is a perfect photo opportunity, from flower gardens to old pickup trucks, to green houses and rustic barn doors. The venue has so much natural character and charm you really don't have to overdress it with décor and fluff which was a cost saver in the end. There are even horses, goats, cats, and dogs you can take pictures with offering unique photo opportunities. The two guest houses are comfy and stunningly decorated, Margie and family really have a great designer's eye, making them beautiful settings for getting ready photos as well as comfy places to stay all weekend. We did get 422 pictures, many of which were very nice(thus the 2-star rating), but several of them were not very good - lots of red eyes, people looking off in different directions, random non-staged photos, etc. Ok, so part of the package includes a 30-page wedding photo book, which my husband and I were told to select photos for. Well, after another 2 months, the book was finally delivered. The photos were NOT put into the book - they were included separately. And to top it all off, they clearly took a random assortment of photos and blew them up, completely ignoring the photos I had requested for the book. Now, I have been trying for 3 weeks to get a response from them , as I want the book re-done with the photos I actually requested. They have ignored my calls and emails. For $2000, I expected a MUCH better experience and MUCH better photos. Please do not use Lovebridge if you do not want to be disappointed. The Stratton Hall Venue has all of that. It's not much to look at outside, but stay focused until you get on inside. There is a single large space with a nice looking laminate floor and blacked out ceiling. The lighting is ample and not glaring at you from above like some predator in flight. The other two rooms are complimentary to the larger but with their own ambiance. The second is a third of the size of the larger space with elegant drapery and stylish in appointments. Right next to it is a room almost equal in size that is referred to as the Chapel. It's more versatile than that. It is a totally white space with chandeliers and accompaniments that make it appear to be more of a dreamscape. The comfort rooms are decorated nicely and there is a lounge that is elegant. Of particular note are the concierge services supplied by the customer service representative. She is attentive and ready to respond to pressing issues. So you should consider Stratton Hall for your event. You'll be glad that you did.

The owner wasn't around much, but seemed nice and accommodating when he was. The Cons: The venue manager seemed grumpy, never smiled, and was quick to say no to every request. She just seemed unhappy to be there. When asked if the flower girl could throw bird seed, she wouldn't allow it because "the next wedding party wouldn't appreciate having bird seed on the ground for their wedding." There were flower petals on the ground from a previous event that we didn't request, but no one considered that for our wedding. She must have been required to stay there the whole time, much of which was spent on her phone. There were a couple of times we had to wait quite a while to ask her a question. Certainly we understood every request may not be able to be met, but there are ways of telling people no that don't have to be rude or unfriendly. It seemed their venue manager may need more training in how to work with people, especially people who are there to enjoy a special life event and have chosen your venue to do so. She definitely needs to learn to smile when greeting people. That would go a long way. We asked to set up two hours earlier than normal and were charged $300 for the privilege, which we paid, but thought that was a steep price. The paid bartenders refused to serve non alcoholic drinks i.e. sodas, water unless it was in a mixed drink. When it was suggested to the manager that putting a tip jar out was inappropriate because we didn't want our guest to feel the need to pay for anything and just be able to enjoy the evening, she just shrugged her shoulders. The tip jar remained. Last call for the bar was made one hour before closing when it was supposed to be 30 minutes prior. Another concern was that we were told if anyone drove and felt they needed to uber home due to overindulging in alcohol, they wouldn't be allowed to leave a car there overnight. I really raised an eyebrow to this one. Being forced to drive when you needed to call for an uber is a lawsuit waiting to happen. So to sum it up, fabulous venue, with a manager in need of some people skills.
