After recently completing my post opp/injury rehab with Advanced PT in Cape Coral after over 20+…read moreweeks of hard work I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone in need of recovery and physical therapy after an injury or operation! My therapist/trainer and the de facto team leader of this facility, Lucas was right by my side every step of the way with helpful advise and a slow, steady and consistent approach that got me moving functionally again without pushing me too hard as to re aggravate my injury. I got to know the whole staff while I was there and I can assure you their positive attitudes are contagious! I really enjoyed getting to know all therapists and assistant trainers at this location. I had a chance to work with Troy, Amy, Madison, Nicole at one point or another and they were all very knowledgeable and helpful! Karen and Kayla at the office/front desk always made billing and scheduling a breeze. Convenient location just a half block off of Del Prado in central Cape Coral with plenty of safe parking for my nice truck in a private lot exclusively for APT clients. I highly recommend them, great experience!

We spent a long time looking for the right place for her and were happy to have found this one. My Mom is 91 years old and has had frequent hospitalizations in the past 10 years and we are so grateful for the care and patience with which she has been treated for this extended period of time. She has several physical therapists and occupational therapists in both the Gardens as well as her apartment at Terracina Grand and they always work with her to build up her strength and get back to a normal way of life. She has been in a wheelchair ever since her stroke but there are always enough CNAs and Nurses who monitor her medication and get her to and from the bathroom, as well as work with her when she has problems swallowing. The food is very good particularly at the Gardens and even though it sometimes must be softened so that she can easily eat it, she is usually able to rehabilitate herself with the help of the wonderful people who attend her there. We couldn't be happier than to have a place such as The Gardens for Mom to recuperate in until she is strong enough to go back to a more independent lifestyle which is available at Terracina Grand.

Therefore, I was astonished that I was told at 3 pm on 1/8 that I would be discharged on 1/9 at 1030 am. I was totally not prepared to return to my home (I live alone). I had no special equipment like walker, commode (to go over toilet), and shower chair. They said they could loan me one of their walkers and I could return it later - what? I appealed this discharge to Medicare, but was informed about 3 pm 1/9 that my appeal was denied and so I was discharged on the morning of 1/10. Overall, Encompass was very good for rehab.

Our experience at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Naples was extremely disappointing…read moreand stressful during a time when our family should have been focused on healing and recovery. Rather than feeling like individualized, patient-centered rehabilitation, much of the stay felt like a box-checking exercise. We repeatedly encountered rushed interactions, poor communication, and a lack of attention to the patient's unique needs, goals, limitations, and pain levels. As family members advocating for our loved one, we often felt dismissed rather than listened to. There were ongoing concerns regarding delayed pain medication, inadequate overnight medication management, missing or delayed safety equipment, and charting that did not always accurately reflect what was actually happening. We also felt that important information provided by the family was not always taken seriously, despite our being actively involved in the patient's care and discharge planning. One of the most frustrating aspects was the perception that facility processes and discharge timelines sometimes seemed to take priority over the patient's actual condition and readiness. We frequently had to push for appropriate equipment, services, and accommodations that should have been part of a collaborative rehabilitation plan. The therapy itself had some bright spots, and there were individual staff members who genuinely cared and tried to help. Unfortunately, those positive interactions were overshadowed by larger issues with communication, responsiveness, and overall patient-centered care. Rehabilitation is about more than completing tasks and documenting progress--it is about listening to patients and families, treating them with dignity and respect, and creating a plan that truly supports recovery. Sadly, that was not our experience. I hope this feedback leads to meaningful improvements for future patients and families.
