Grant took us thru the entire showroom and building to let us see what the Piano Place is all about and where it is going in the future. Quite an impressive music studio. Then we looked at various pianos, and Grant not only knew about each piano maker, but the history of each manufacturer, how they are made, what is used in the construction, and why each is important. With Grant's knowledge and guidance we purchased a beautiful Petrof and could not be happier with that decision. This is THE place to go if you want quality and and piano knowledge in the same place. I bought my piano from a Kawai Piano School Sale years ago. While at The Piano Place on 18 February 2024; the individual responsible for the pianos gave me a much better understanding of what makes up a "good piano". This better understanding will be used in my next purchase of a piano for my son as I may buy him a new piano vs moving my current piano when he settles down. If he stays in Michigan area; I will probably buy from The Piano Place as they carry the better piano brands. read more

I had a Steinway grand piano that I decided to sell. I contacted Grant at the Piano Place who arranged to sell it on consignment. He offered a very satisfactory financial arrangement and put me in touch with the piano mover. He found a buyer within a few weeks. Apparently the buyer needed some time to pay for the instrument, but as soon it was paid for I received my payment. Grant was available by phone whenever I had questions.
