The first, a standard 5x8 enclosed Uhaul trailer which they said should work. Unfortunately, due to the additional size of their pallet it would not fit in the opening. The second was a very large toy hauler trailer but they said there was no way to secure the piano to the trailer. This all took about an hour of discussion. I was very pleasant and accepted that it was not going to happen. The manager then called me and said they were charging me a service call fee of $350. when I told her I thought that was unreasonable she said too bad and hung up the phone on me. I was prepared to pay something reasonable like $200, but they refused to discuss. You don't need to use greedy businesses like this, there are other piano companies. To add insult to injury they said my Young Chang baby grand was in excellent condition and they would give me $750 For it.

I got a new bow from them, as well as new strings. It was a little pricey, about $112, but I know it's a family business. The house looked exactly the same as I had remembered and they have all sorts of cool memorabilia and things on the walls. It looks like they can rent violins too, there were some little kids there who were starting out on their first violins which was nice. They threw in a cloth for me for free and also a luggage tag for the violin, which I thought was very nice. I highly recommend this place even if it's a 30 to 40 minute drive for you like it is for me now.

We have been taking our daughter's Clarinet to Marshall Music for 3 years and she's in the marching…read moreband. For the prior 2 years, they replaced all the pads at a cost of about 150. They told us that because she's in marching band the pads would need to be replaced every year. So, the 3rd year we decided to purchase insurance, which cost 125 dollars, up front for next year to cover the repairs needed. This year when we used our insurance that we paid for last year. All they did was re-align some minor parts and were able to return our instrument to us within a day. So, this feels like if you purchase the insurance ahead of time, they will do the minimum work on your instrument but if you have an open check book, they will sock it to you. Beware of Marshall Music. I won't ever go back, and I plan on telling everyone about my experience with their company

They have a ton of instruments for rent in their store. They offer lessons as well for whatever instruments on site. The lessons cost around $25-$30 a lesson. I did end up finding my own private instructor closer to my house. They set me up with the hard case, bow and rosin. I was also able to get the basic lesson book too. The violin was all tuned and had the shoulder rest on it already. The staff were helpful and informative and easy to work with for the rental and rental end process. Would definitely rent from here again.
