A staff member said to pick out a couple toys from their free bucket of toys for kids, since I'm a mom of 2 and also a caregiver. We've been to their sister store in Folsom and both locations have pretty good variety and low prices. This location is definitely smaller, but still has some good finds. You just need to take the time to look. It's located in the quaint little Burke Junction shopping center across the street from Safeway and Forklift, so there's always plenty of parking. Most recently, I snagged a cool coffee table made in the Japanese style of woodworking for a steal, plus a Hong Kong VCD version of LOTR! I literally haven't seen any VCDs from Hong Kong in ages, honestly since I've been there, so this was a really cool find. It was super nostalgic for me and I'm definitely adding it to my collection. On the way out, I spied a neat little chubby Pikachu figurine and had to get that as well. My husband has been in a Pokémon collecting streak lately so this was a fun little item to add to his collection too. All in all, the staff are pretty nice and I've been able to find things here and there for such a steal. We'll continue to support this thrift store!

Last Christmas, I came looking for something special for my newest granddaughter. I found the cutest purple sloth and a sweet book called Good Night, Sloth. Unfortunately, my granddaughter loved her purple sloth a little too much and managed to mess it up! So, when I came back to Folsom, I knew I had to look for another purple sloth. They are so popular that the purple sloth is currently on backorder, but I found this big, super-soft sloth instead. It's actually an upgrade and will be perfect for her! My other daughter is expecting her first baby--a little boy! So, of course, we had to do some baby shopping. We found some adorable finger-puppet books and a Warmies dinosaur. So many cute things! But this store offers so much more than baby items. You can find things for your kitchen, bedroom, dining room, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and so much more. There are unique gifts everywhere you look. I absolutely love browsing here! I only wish I lived a little closer. I live in Nevada, but whenever I come to California to visit my daughter, we're definitely going to make a day trip to Folsom. It's so close to her, and this store is always worth the trip. The people here are awesome, too! They even offered us some homemade cinnamon rolls, and they were AMAZING! The prices are very reasonable, and they also offer a military discount, which is a wonderful bonus. If you're in Folsom, California, make sure you stop by Not Too Shabby on Sutter Street.
