The busier stores always have good service and good staff. The mall staff themselves are great. Guest services is among the most helpful in the GTA. What needs improvement in this mall is it needs proper expansion and removal of outdated stores (when the lease expires of course). There is no distinction in the direction of what the mall is selling as a category. On the weekends it gets crowded with all sorts of demographics shopping. The security staff seem swarmed. And parking is a game of survival! I expect it to improve once a proper tenant or use has been found for the now vacant Hudson Bay and the surrounding area. Right now I recommend most to visit on the weekdays, unless bumper cars in the parking lot is a ideal.

Fairview Mall has gone through an evolution and reimagination of the retail space. I love how they redeveloped the space where Sears used to be. The space is now converted into a mini Chinatown spot with Saint Germain bakery, bubble tea shop, Hong Kong style cafe, Thai restaurant, and a T&T Supermarket. On the top floor there's a Marshalls / Homesense big box store. I noticed the Zara store has been renovated and now occupying 2 levels. The store looks immaculate and love the modern layout and self serve checkout kiosks to make shopping faster for DIY people. I managed to do some shopping at H&M and got some great deals in the sale section. I also bought some groceries like green beans, lychee, bbq pork buns, and curry beef pastries. It's not very often you can go to regional mall and be able to buy clothes, groceries, and bakery goods. It was a pleasant experience. I look forward to the transformation of the vacant Hudson Bay space. Oh did I mention they have a Playdium arcade in the old Sportchek space beside the Cineplex theatre.

I am a 56 year old man and like other men my age, have some prostate enlargement. That means when nature calls, it is very urgent. This place had no central washroom facility and Sunny have one either. What is the matter with these dolts? Don't they think Asian folk have to pee and poop too? I will continue to patronize the restaurants and businesses here but these guys need to be a little more "user-friendly." I was almost ready to go outside and pee on the back wall!

This shopping centre is located at the north-east corner of Don Mills Rd and Finch Ave E. Some of the businesses include Service Ontario, Skymark Shoe Repair, One's Better Living, TD Canada Trust, Royal Bank of Canada, Pho Vietnamese Delight, and Skymark Eye Clinic. The anchor stores are No Frills and Rexall on either end. Even though they're not officially part of the plaza there's a Mr. Lube and an Esso gas station right at the intersection. The parking lot is a fair size but it can fill up rather quickly. There are accessible parking spots close to the stores. I would not recommend parking and leaving the property. Management keeps a close eye on people that do and makes good use of a towing company. I've been told many students from Seneca College used to park here and then go to their classes.

Car Wrongfully Towed…read more The tow truck company claims that the property management stated my mom left the property, which is why her car was towed. However, she DID NOT leave the property. No one else with her had their car towed, suggesting possible discrimination and negligence. My mom has testimonies from everyone who was with her on the property. I advised her to take pictures, which she did. A random group of people did approach her asking why she was taking pictures (likely involved in this incident). We plan to take this matter to small claims court and sue, as it's a matter of principle. Be warned that there are individuals at this property deliberately trying to get vehicles towed. If anyone else has had their car wrongfully towed, please contact me.

My sister and I were recently visiting Toronto and visited the Promenade to grab coffee with our…read morecousin. We planned for extra time so that we could walk around the mall. It's been many years since we've been in the Promenade, and it probably wouldn't be a surprise that we barely recognized it as a lot has changed. We stopped by in the early afternoon on a Friday. My sister and I met my cousin at Tim Hortons in the food court. While my cousin and I both enjoyed a beverage and a donut at Tim Hortons, my sister instead opted for Yogenfruz. My sister later had lunch at Sushi-Q while I chose Feta & Olives. We were surprised a number of the food vendors were closed on a weekday afternoon. We then stopped in Roots, Dollarama, and Olive Branch. There were certainly a variety of different vendors, and it was fun to learn there was now a pickleball place in the Promenade. The Promenade has a Guest Services team that staff the counter located at the Bathurst Street Main Entrance. The mall also offers free Wi-Fi, complimentary wheel chairs, access to SmarteCarte Self-Serve strollers, and family parking options at each of their main entrances with parking options for expectant mothers and parents with young children. The hours at the mall are Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Saturday through Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM. There are holiday hours published for Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. It's Japanese town so slightly unsure why there would he knockoffs there sold by a non Japanese person knowing Japan doesn't support counterfeit - to each their own. The supermarket is rather small as well. I guess it's sadly the only place where some Japan feels can be obtained. Of course pricing is quite hefty, everything is definitely way more expensive since products are imported. The custom made stickers / pins etc inside the small market were very expensive though. Very tiny pin was $8. Tempted but definitely not desperate, it was about maybe 1.5cm in size, wild. I'll just have my mom send me Japan stuff from Japan instead to be frank. It's a nice place to go for a quick stop-by though.

J-Town is a one-stop shop for just about everything Japanese. I had a great time browsing, but I couldn't help feeling supremely jealous of the locals filling shopping baskets with goodies to take home, something I simply couldn't do as a visitor staying in a hotel. Instead, I had to settle for wandering the aisles and stalls imagining what I'd cook if I had a kitchen. Whether you're passionate about Japanese culture or just a food nerd like me, J-Town is an incredibly fun place to spend an hour or two. It's the kind of place you'll wish you had in your own neighborhood.

You could say there are also communal tables. One thing I'm not a fan of is I can't see what's in the other side of the food court from one side to another. I would like to see all my options at once. Also, it would be good if the stairs on north side from the food court would allow me to get to second level (upstairs). The shops seem to show some promise with Miniso and Dollarama. Keep adding interesting shops and food options and I could bump it up a star.
