This parking structure is pretty big. but obviously it can get super crowded on the weekends. The sucky part is that it's pretty expensive. even if you get a validation it's still high, that's a bit discouraging. At times it can get confusing when you are trying to find some parking because if you do not play close attention you will keep driving around and coming back to where you were and thinking it's a new level when it's really not. How do I know this you might ask? Well because it what happened to us when we came here lol. Good thing there is many elevators that you can use to go down to the first floor or just the stairs. read more

My truck was stolen from this parking garage. The monthly parking guy was very nice and helpful but that's where the helpfulness stopped. The parking people basically told us (1) the cameras they have in the garage do not record so they can't pull up security tapes, (2) they're not liable for any loss or damages so they can't help and (3) we can't get a refund for the monthly pass even though we're not using it BECAUSE IT WAS STOLEN FROM THEIR GARAGE. We paid for two monthly parking spaces and i'm obviously not parking my 2nd car here because the first one wasn't safe. The manager said they cannot issue a refund (based on customer service) because it's not their policy. We're clearly out of $140 and a $10k truck and left with nothing -- not even a call back. I would suggest not parking here monthly because there's no guarantee that your vehicle will be safe and if your car is damaged...too bad. i've parked in this structure many times, it can get confusing having you go round and round on the same level just read the signs up on the ceiling to help. There is no attendant when exiting you must pay at the ticket kisok on the first level and make sure you get your ticket back cause you need it to exit. They have 3 of them two take only credit cards and one in the middle takes cash. Again follow the signs to exit they are helpful to getting you to the freeway. Overall the best place to park when going to Pike in Long Beach. read more

Bottom Line: Avoid at all costs! It will be cheaper to just park on the street or in another lot. I lost $24 dollars at this parking structure. My parking validation ticket got stuck in the payment redemption machine. I explained that my ticket was stuck in the machine, but all the employee could do was tell me to wait for the machine to return it. After waiting for 30 minutes we got tired of waiting for their malfunctioning machine to "return" the ticket, assuming that we could just explain to the employee and pay the usual $5 price for parking. Nope, the employee was no help. We explained our situation, and all she could say was, "if you want to get out of here, you are going to pay the $24 lost ticket fee." Let's just say my friend and I were speechless!! I payed the "lost ticket fee" and just left. My bank will be getting a call from me tomorrow, and I will be refuting the charges. This message is for Pike parking structure on 65 South Cedar. The most awful thing happened to me. I had a prepaid parking voucher and yes, I admit did not read the instruction to redeem the voucher prior to exit the parking structure. I called parking assistant and all they said to me, leave your car there and take your 2-year-old sleeping daughter with you and walked to the parking machine on level one to redeem. So, I left my car and turned on emergency signal since the machine was within eye sight from car. Guess what it was not the right machine they said I need to either go to level 3 or walk all the way to the front where the elevator was. I also went into the office to show my voucher and they still can't do anything. I wish I toke both ladies name that were there. I was furious given I left my car and my daughter still sleeping. So, I called 911 and they sent the long beach police department to help. The police came and babysat my sleeping daughter while I walked all the way over about 500 meters around the corner to use the machine for prepaid parking voucher to redeem. They will hear from a lawyer given they put me in an awkward position with a sleeping toddler in the car and not being helpful given there were two staff. I don't know what they are trying to proof but they saw my prepaid voucher which they can easily take care of in the office. The staff that worked there on July 7th at 430pm should be arrested for the position they put me in and believe I will not stop by just writing a yelp review. The company that employed the staff should be fully reviewed and have proper training on courtesy and professionalism. I am thankful to the Long Beach police for their help. read more

Nice parking structure, clean and well lit. My beloved city of Wrong Beatch is ripping folks off in this mug. Went to the movies at Cinemark. Parked for approx 5 1/2 hours with validation. Price $7.50. Good lord, always an irritating smack to the nuts after a fun night. I've found it very stupid of the shitty over the years to be over charging for parking, whether it's the local parking lots or metered spaces. It's a bit of a deterrent for us folks who don't want to pay the price of a dinner for parking. And then there's the metered spaces where you can only pay up to 2 hrs max. Booooo ! ! ! Ok, this is a PARKING GARAGE... in DOWNTOWN Long Beach... you people pissing and moaning about the price, you think that big piece of real estate this bad boy sits on is free??? The price for parking here on a weekend night is hell of a lot cheaper than other major entertainment area's in the LA area. Ok, that all aside... this garage is well kept and well lit. It's kinda set off from any of the entertainment areas. It is half a block from The Pike, and likewise to Rainbow Harbor where the Aquarium of the Pacific is located... But with very limited street and meter parking, this is your best bet. It has easier vehicle access and exiting than the parking garage at adjacent to the Aquarium. I have never had any issue with employees... of course been stuck behind morons who use this garage and cant drive nor park worth a horses ass... but how is that the garages fault (Linda, Maria)? read more

Now while there are many factors that may deter people from coming to the pike, the parking has got to be 1 or 2 on the list. Arrived at 3:00 on Sunday afternoon. It took us 20 minutes to park! Not because it was hard to find spots, but because THE ENTIRE WORLD WAS TRYING TO PARK and there was a long, solid line of cars entering the structure. EVENTUALLY two employees showed up to try to direct traffic but they didn't do much good. My complaint isn't with price, but with layout. I live in East Long Beach, and when I'm tempted to drive over and enjoy the Pike, I recall all the negative experiences I've had with parking that everyone else mentions on this Yelp topic. It takes too much time.... to find a space, park, walk to destination (if elevators are working), be seated at restaurant (hopefully not too busy), be served (was my waitress texting her boyfriend?), window-shop, return to your car (Dude, where's my car?), and finally wait in the intentionally poor designed parking queue to get out of the structure. All of this equates to time which the facility will happily charge you for. No thanks, when I can patronize businesses on the East Side without any of the extortion. Finally, if the Pike association would adopt a sincere interest in attracting satisfied customers, they would look closely at what's keeping them away and remedy the situation. This parking structure was recommended as a pre-paid lot for the day of the Long Beach Marathon- it was a terrible mistake! It sounded so simple: pay ahead, ensure you have a spot the day of the race... HOWEVER, with street closures (and an untimely freeway closure), the distance from the 710 to this structure - less than 1 mile - took 1 hour 45 minutes. This whole setup was mayhem. It took people forever to get in the structure, the labyrinthine aisles were closed and signs haphazardly set up at random spots. After the incredibly frustrating trip from the freeway to the structure- it took far too long to find a space (we finally found one on the top level, 7). Since this parking structure is about half a mile away from the starting line, we still had to make our way over there. We began our race over an hour after the starting time! After the race, there was more fun to be had - the aforementioned signs thrown about the garage directed us in circles. We spent 20 minutes circling levels 7 through 4... We'd get to one area and hit a sign directing us back up to level 7. Poorly thought out, frustrating, just plain awful. If you're thinking of parking here for the Long Beach Marathon (or for anything where time is of the essence) DON'T! Trust me, go anywhere else!!! read more

Yep, I'm writing a review for a parking garage, the experience was that nice! Parked here for the Long Beach Half Marathon expo and race day. First impression on a not-so-busy Saturday was that this was one confusing garage (lots of entrances and exits not open due to low volume and a road seems to run through it) that could use a serious face lift on the elevator, but close to the convention center and they validated when I picked up my parking pass for Sunday. Race day, however, was an out-of-town runners dream. I chose valet for an extra $5 and was able to drop my car off upon entering the garage (no worries about where to put my keys!). Not only did I get a claim ticket, but also a wristband in case I lost my ticket or it got sopping wet as paper in pockets when running tends to do. Such an easy process to get my car back. Just scan the wristband and wait a couple minutes. Learned during the wait that the wristband was in response to valets asking last year if there's anything that can be done about the wet (let's be honest, a bit disgusting) claim tickets. Talk about responsiveness! Brent was lovely to deal with both times. Highly recommend for any runners returning to Long Beach in the future when the valet option is available at this garage. Just don't follow the mainstream way to the garage or you may be stuck for a while on race morning! read more

I would give the Valet Parking at the Rainbow harbor 0 stars if I could. These drivers are running like chickens without a head. My husband and I went out for dinner, and decided to use the valet parking instead of walking to the structure. After we paid for parking, we were asked to wait for them to bring our car. We noticed that people that paid after us got their cars prior to us. Our car was literally parked in front of the pay station, so I asked the cashier what the status of our was or if we could just grab they keys and we would get it ourselves, since we had been waiting for over half hour. She picked up my ticket and handed it to another employee. He searched for my keys in their key cabinet and a basket were they drop keys for the crazy drivers to grab them and get the cars, just to realize that my keys were missing. They called a supervisor and he asked me to give him a descriptiom of my keys. When the driver who had initially parked our car was asked about my keys he said it was just a single key. I, trying to keep my calm, told him it was a full set of house keys and our home alarm remote control attached to my car key. The supervisor apologized and said they had overflow cars on the structure and called to see if they had my keys there. After waiting for an hour and forty minutes he asked if they could give us a ride home, for us to pick up our spare keys and gave me a formto fill out to compensate my keys. With repetitive apologies they bargained to get us a cab to drive us home. Half way on our way home, the supervisor called my cell phone to inform me they had found my keys. My keys were found in another car. He once again apologized and handed us three free parking tickets, which we will obviously not be using since we will not be using the valet services again. So park here at your own risk of having them loose your keys. read more

Went to the Cinemark theater after a long time because the last time we visited it at this location, we had a bad experience with the overcharging of parking fee. To our displeasure, same thing happened again. We usually go to the Huntington Beach location and they don't charge ANYTHING for parking. Tonight we went Starbucks and a few stores before seeing out movie for a total of 4 hours and 17 minutes. The validation covers 3 and a half hours. But it's a scam when you get to go pay because it CHARGED $9, which is a bunch of ridiculousness! This does not encourage you to not only want to possibly see two movies in one night but forget about wanting to visit and shop before your movie. The pricing is a TOTAL SCAM!!! Different pricing based on which place you go??? REALLY? Not interested in going to this theater or shopping at the stores. The parking apparently wants to discourage you from spending time shopping, dining, and seeing a movie. No thanks! I'll stick to the H.B. Location!! read more

Hell no! The first time I came here (4 mo this ago) it was packed, but found parking in 5 mins. This time I was in the stupid garage stuck in traffic for 20 mins. I just left and didn't even bother parking. This has got to be the most congested and worse garage. People are exiting and parking in the same line. Horrible. Validation system often doesn't work at various shops. They will often have to give you a "makeup" ticket which often doesn't work. There is no attendant on duty at gates. It's an automated facility. If you're ticket doesn't take there is no way to loop back into the parking structure. There is a help button but they just tell you to leave your car parked in the lane and block other cars. You then have to track down the office as they don't come to you. They wouldn't accept time stamped store receipt as proof for validation; unlike every other pay shopping center I've ever been too. Had to pay $14 when it was supposed to be free and then walk back to car again with people piled up behind. It's THEIR fault their validation system wasn't working, THEIR fault the "makeup" ticket wasn't valid and "I" had to pay for parking. Whats wrong with this picture. Signage was lacking on how to get to different areas. Whole sections were roped off as closed. Most all areas were one way. It was impossible to either get to were you needed to be or figure out how to get there. read more

The parking attendants didn't care and told us to take it up with the restaurant. They wanted to charge us more than the daily maximum because we had our ticket taken away. This review is specifically for the Pike Valet Parking at Rainbow Harbor. I arrived on a Friday night on 3/24/18, and there was an overwhelming amount of cars that were waiting for validation. Keep in mind that I arrived here on previous weekend nights and it was never as busy as it was that day. I waited for 10-15 minutes for a valet guy to show up and never came, and I gave up and I ditched the car (because I saw another guy do that) and let them take care of it. I complained to the manager about the slow service, and let me know that they were "short-staffed for this season" for such a very busy night. I saw a valet guy take my car 5 minutes after complaining to the manager, but he did not leave a ticket in the car proving that I left the car at 8:00 pm. That became an issue at the time of pickup. I told the female employee that I never got a ticket because they took too long to get to me. She immediately found my keys and told one of the valet guys to see if there was a ticket in there. There was no ticket because whoever parked my car assumed that I had already received a ticket. Then I was told that I was not supposed to do that, but there aren't any signs saying that I had to wait for a ticket. The female employee insisted that there was a sign, but the only sign I saw said "PLEASE PULL FORWARD." I waited for as long as I could to get to the front, but I had better things to do with my friends than to bicker around in my car wasting valuable time. I lost my temper, and I had to get the manager involved once again. For 2 hours of parking I should have paid $10, but because of their employees' ineptness plus the lack of staff and signage, I had to pay the VIP rate, which was $20 to avoid paying the max rate. This could've all been solved if there was at least one person handing out parking tickets at arrival knowing that a valet driver was going to be a long wait or had the staff that was needed to deal with the overwhelming amount of cars. I will be taking this issue to management at the Pike very soon to see if they can hire more staff and have better signage. Until that is fixed, I am not going to park in the valet lot anytime soon. Take this review as a warning for those who decide to park at Rainbow Harbor. If the valet lot is extremely crowded, I recommend parking at the structure or over by Tequila Jacks. read more

The pike parking structure machine took my ticket . I had to go to the gate without the ticket and I was charged $24 when it should have been just $9. I tore up my Aquarium of the Pacific membership card and they will never get my money again. I also blame the Aquarium of the Pacific. Thinking we didn't validate our ticket correctly, we walked all the way back to revalidate our ticket. Validation machine said it was already validated. Talked to someone at the theater and she said it cost $9 for the overage. Walked back to the meter, now we were there for five hours and one minute. Worst customer service experience ever. The parking structure ticket booths are broken. It wouldn't take my ticket then tried to charge me $6, despite having validation and attempting to leave before my time is up. The parking office is useless. Instead of having an iota of customer service they proceeded to argue with me about how I was wrong (I wasn't, the machine is broken!). There were three other people who had the same issue as I did. The "manager" refused to give me a phone number to escalate until I called the police. Adding insult to injury the number eventually given to me went back into their office where they refused to help me or entertain the fact that if three other people were having an issue it could be the machines. "The manager" told the police I was over by just a few seconds and had to pay $6. Those few seconds were the time spent when the ticket machine didn't take my ticket! Then they gave the police a phone number and "managers" name to call. The phone number is disconnected. I called it three times, once in front of the police who confirmed I was dialing correctly When I finally left, with the intent to contact AmeriPark about my experience and request my rightful refund, the fee increased to $9!!!!!!!! All because the parking machine wouldn't take my ticket. read more

Constant crime, car has gotten broken into twice in this lot (no cameras and usually only one security person on duty), and rude staff in the office (aside from the security guard who took the report of the break in). It is very unfortunate that there are no other options for places to park your cars in this area for extended periods of time. We parked here for the Long Beach marathon, big mistake! Their directions on how to get there, with road closures seems simple and helpful. Not! Everyone who's parking there is going the same way. It took us 1 3/4 hours to park! The roads leading to the structure were like parking lots, .4 miles, .5 miles and 500 feet isn't far, it was miserable. The mall was good, nice theatre with great seating. But their parking structure is a scam. We went there at 2:07pm, shopping around and came out of the movie at 4:05pm. The theatre said they validate three hours, but when we got to the parking lot, it asked us to pay the whole 4 hours because they said we past 3 and half hours break point. What is that even mean? So the validation means nothing at this point I guess? Try to talk sense out of their parking structure manager and she was mean as hell. Well guess what the Pike outlet parking, I will never come back again to you and i will reduce my time to visit the Pike outlet as well because the poor parking structure service. Now you have it.
