Attention to all customers, for the last 3 years this car wash money change machine has been ripping of customers, when you change five dollars bills or 10,20 dollars the scammed you with 25 cents or more, if you put 10 dollars the machine returns 9.25 stealing 75 cents. Heads up: get there early to grab a spot because once it gets busy, people start lines behind you! If you don't like to feel rushed, keep in mind that people will wait behind you while you vacuum your car. I didn't mind the line however I had to be mindful and kind of speed through the vacuuming process because there was a car waiting for me. Because the vacuum is in front of the actual washing area, it can get a little busy and overwhelming. I paid $5 for the wash and it was 6 minutes and 40 seconds. The vacuum is $1.25 but I forgot to keep track of how long it was on for! I added ten quarters to vacuum my small Nissan and I was able to finish. Overall, I had a pleasant experience, arriving before everyone got there. I noticed there was either the owner or manager there so that's also nice if you have any questions or need help. read more

This a great carwash with equipment that is always working. I have been going here for years and they keep the place clean and upgrade their services. The bays a good size and there is a good amount of space to dry your vehicle after you wash it. It has also remained pretty inexpensive over the years as other costs in life have gone up. read more

I frequently come to clean and detail a vehicle at this car wash. There's often an attendant on hand here. They recently raised their prices. It used to be $5 for 10 minutes. I put $5 in and got SIX Minutes now. Small print signage says it's now $6 for 10 minutes. They do use Blue Coral brand products so the soap is good quality and sudsy from the sprayer as well as the foaming brushes. This car wash is located in a residential neighborhood, so out of respect for those living nearby PLEASE TURN DOWN YOUR MUSIC when washing/drying your vehicle. read more

This Self-Clean Car Wash is superior over others nearby. Why? 1. They provide change for different types of bills ($1, 5, 10, 20). 2. The clock is digital and has a large display so you can see how much time you have left. 3. They sell a variety of useful products to make your car clean (Towels, Shams, Car/ wheel cleaner...etc.) 4. They have a spacious drying lot. Only Negative: The air freshner machine; the hose isn't long enough to reach in your car. Before you spray some "new car smell" make sure to move your car where it's side by side with the machine and extra close. This place is so close to where I live and as long as you don't go at peak times on the weekend, there are usually free bays to use. They accept coins as well as credit cards. I decided to get rid of my quarter collection here and ended up spending about $12 for a thorough clean which is about what I paid at the Town & Country at Bellflower and PCH that gets top reviews. There's an attendant working there during business hours just like other self washes but I didn't need his help. Looks like most of the low stars come from different things being out of service or out of product so maybe I'll be updating this review before long. read more

Like any one star review, I would give no stars if I could. Paid my money to the shampoo machine. It turns on, but no shampoo. I waited 2 minutes with the shampoo button depressed, and nothing came out. I walked the premises to find a phone number. Everything that says "For assistance, please call", does not have a number written in. Clearly the owner is too busy to be inconvenienced with little things like refilling the shampoo, or taking phone calls for problems. read more

I live very near this car wash and have always gone there. But today I decided to look somewhere else. Today for the first time since I starting going there, I decided to use the carpet shampoo machine. I put my money in, follow the directions, and no shampoo. You pay $4.00 for 5 minutes and it just wouldn't work, so I go look for the attendant that was working there, find him, he comes over looks at my carpets and as I am about to see if he has any shampoo to fill the machine, he interrupts me and says " so you want money back? " Turns around walks off and gives me the universal sign to let me know how he feels about me and my carpet cleaning problems. He comes back and gives me $1.25 and walks away....oh and the dollar was for a car wash token, so use it or lose it. Stay away. read more

Clean, safe, credit card option, wheel & rim brush that works, vacuums that actually suck with the flatter end so you can get under and next to the seats. I bring my car to the Broadway DIY Carwash, almost weekly. Why? I get a superior wash every time, for under $10, and in less than 15 minutes, a clean well maintained facility, and never a line! This is the best deal in town! While the competition of automated gas station carwashes offer convenience and affordability, they also use harsh chemicals that over time will eat away a paint job, and if you have any lower intake, you risk hydro-locking your motor at these gas station style washes due to the under-washing. It is because of this, that I have always either washed my car myself at home (ugh), or paid to have it hand washed ($$$). Long story short, since moving to long beach I am so glad to have found this place. On a side note, I must say that the bill changers at these things have always made me a little skeptical, and a week ago all I had was a $20, and you guessed it, I put in the $20, and only received $10 in coins. The machine had a note posted on it, that in case of malfunction, to leave a note with my info on it, and slip it under that machine rooms door.... What? Like that'll work. I mean who in the world would feel obligated to repay someone a puny $10 when its a faceless business?... Well, The Broadway Carwash, that's who! Today I received a personalized handwritten letter apologizing for the problem with an enclosed $15 ($5 more than I lost!). Finally a small business that cares about their repeat customers! I go to this car wash because I take pride in washing my car myself. I can also get a gull quality wash for $5. The wheel brush the foam spray the rain-x protectant... I love the quality of available products. Just add a bag of Microfiber towels from Costco and everything is covered here. Better than the other self wash spots in the area. read more

I've driven past this car wash plenty of times, today I stopped by. First thing I started to vacuum the interior, plunked down my coins, vacuum comes on, put nozzle to floorboard and floop the nozzle is broken. So I do the best I can. Thankfully the carpeting didn't need much attention. Now it's waiting until the people in front of me are finished, tic tock. It's nice you have an option to use cash or card. I inserted my $5.00 for 10 minutes and started to wash away. They have brushes for the roof and one for the tires along with the wash nozzle. 10 minutes isn't enough so I plopped in another couple bucks. Finished off with spotless rinse. Paid another two bucks for a microfiber cloth. Plenty of shade parking for drying. Another buck for the car freshner. 1.75+5.00+2.00+2.00+$1.00=$11.75 I probably could have taken it to the car wash for less, it is definitely less then the mobile car wash guy who comes to my work and I think I did a better job. All in all a good place for a quick wash. 3 stars because of the vacuum. Like many others there is no contact information or out of order signs to warn you something is not working. read more
