It was an answered prayer when we found Midlothian Private School for our Kindergartener and we…read morewere absolutely heart-broken when we had to relocate to the hill country. Our son was accepted to a Christian school where we will be living and and he'll be entering at the top half of his class which speaks volumes to MPS and his teacher, Mrs. Howard. His new school was very impressed with his assessment saying it was rare for a child to come in mid-year knowing what he knows. I'm so thankful for MPS and the love that's been poured into our son and his education. We weren't just seeking education for him when we found MPS. We wanted him to have the opportunity to thrive, contribute, and make a positive impact wherever he went - somewhere he could further his character and deepen his faith. Additionally, we wanted someone who would invest in nurturing his little soul with Christian values and MPS, Mrs. Howard, and the rest of the MPS staff have delivered 100%. So thank you, to each and every one of you, for everything you do to make MPS what it is.

During this time, we volunteered and gave to the school as much as we were able because we wanted to support the community our children were in. Beginning in September of 2025, we began to have concerns about behaviors / conversations occurring and it continued throughout the school year. We always tried to be gentle and respectful when bringing these concerns to the attention of administrators. Finally, with two weeks of school left, we made the decision to completely withdraw and cancel the re-enrollment of both of our children after our safety concerns were met with a refusal for answers, zero accountability, hostility and even pitting families against one another. I won't claim to have handled this perfectly because there was so much frustration once we started being treated poorly simply for having concerns and being denied answers from individuals who our children were under the care of for 30+ hours per week. I explained many times that I did not expect personal information of any student, I just wanted clarification on policies, what behaviors would or would not be allowed, and how similar situations would be handled in the future. As a Christian Private School - which MPS claims to be - with so many children under their care, they are absolutely held to a higher standard and should be able to have hard conversations, be accountable, professional and respectful to ALL families - especially when it comes to the safety of their children. The repeated phrase of admin was that how we feel is not their responsibility and if we don't like it we can withdraw - which is exactly what we did. Added for perspective - I want to draw your attention to the laugh reactions on our reviews. These are from a current teacher at MPS (admin's mother) and the BIBLE teacher at MPS (admin's husband) - neither of which were involved with any of our communications. Sadly, it just continues to prove our point. If at the time you are ready this they are no longer there, it may be because they realized as much.

If I could I'd put O stars, they are always severely understaffed,…read morethe food/drinks in the fridge aren't dated on when last used, they aren't good at time management, while I worked here I had my daughter enrolled and she never learned anything and was in Pre-K, there's no set lesson plans, her teacher yelled at her and called her a selfish brat in front of me, goes by Ms Carter, made me clean a whole classroom by myself on my first day in the morning with no help and then gave me 10 minutes to do it, then sent kids in the room and made more of a mess. They never have a steady schedule so you're never promised a break, I called in sick because me and my daughter has the stomach flu and they still tried calling me in after I told them I kept throwing up and said they'd deduct my pay if I didn't come in. You or your child will get sick here often either for working or placing your child. There was 4/5 year olds in the 3's classroom and has 2's coming in as well that weren't potty trained and there's no changing table in the room, and they'd go hours without a diaper change. They said they'd help send them back but never did. Never followed states law about ratio, I was with the 2's and it's 1 teacher: 11 kids, and they would have 16 kids with me by myself and knew other teachers like the tods and infants were bad as well and a baby went 6/7 hours without a bottle since she was alone until I came in and she had 10 infants! All by her self to watch, feed, burp and hold. Just would give this place -100/10 for working and to place your child! Never trust them even though it's a Christian learning based, they never practiced God's word only did a prayer! I only lasted here a month, waste of my time!
