I was in town for a wedding, and stopped in to this shop after the event to check out this comic…read moreshop. I was very pleasantly surprised. It is becoming increasingly rare to find a comic shop where you can actually look through back issues, at least any issues older than the last 3 years. The young lady running the counter was very helpful and friendly in showing me where some of the back issues for more obscure series resided and helping me find a box as I was flying back with my purchase. Everything was well priced in order. I wish I lived in the area so I could go back there. If I am ever in Kansas City again I will definitely be sure to stop by again.

This Paradies Shop has got it going with a killer location at the dead end of Southwest Airline…read moregates 40-45 in Terminal B at Kansas City Airport. There are no other airlines taking off down here--just SWA. It has a captive audience of hungry, bored or thirsty customers stuck waiting for an arrival, or more likely, a departure. These poor souls have only to go a little way to find the latest tabloids, over-priced water bottles or small sandwiches with wilted lettuce to get them through their travel journeys. I, myself, fell victim, I mean, visited Paradies this week while on my way out of town. I could not believe this location is ENTIRELY BEHOLDEN to Southwest Airlines for all their customers, yet seems to be doing a banging business. I was so happy to find the "Airport" edition of Star magazine (priced $1 higher than at the supermarket) because I knew it would preoccupy me for my 3 hour flight. I have to say I never considered a business plan such as this location but as long as Paradies is moving product & making bank at this dead end store, then I say good for them! Guess I am a fan.

I was feeling really funny about my steep purchase till I came home and priced it on mophie's site. Same price! I also checked Amazon and saw cheaper prices, but a lot of the reviews said that they didn't receive genuine mophie products even though they'd purchased items marked "sold by Amazon." I can't tell you how happy I was to find out that this airport shop hadn't taken advantage of my urgent situation. A nearby shop didn't even carry cell phone accessories. So, Paradies clearly wins.
