I drove 80 miles to get Gel-x Nail, the tech that did my nails Nevaeh Hill was excellent and worth the drive. She did a great job and really takes pride in her work. If you want a great nail job, ask for her. Now the bad. This is the bad side of my experience. I'm not sure of the name of the pedicure person as I was not given her name but from the website it looks like it was Kristen Lyons (with make-up on). Under no circumstances would I ever use her. I've had a lot of pedicures, and she is the worst. One of the reasons you get a pedicure is the massage and she just barely massages you. I told her I liked a deep massage, and she barely increased the pressure. No to this person for pedicures. I go to check out and the cost for my nails $65.00. Great price great service. The cost of my pedicure $55.00 great price. Poor service. But the kicker. I go to pay and wanted to use my check Card and machine was down and having the sign looks like it is down at lot. I gave the lady 2 $100.00 bills and she handed me $15.00. I told her that was not enough change. She couldn't add either because she thinks $55.00 & $65.00 equals $135.00 and I didn't pay attention and realizes it should have been $120.00 until I was driving home that I was charged too much. Plus, she has to count it 3 times. I was given change for $135.00 not a $120.00. I was frustrated by that time; I didn't catch that I was being charged too much. They don't take walk-ins. The receptionist never even looked at me when I asked if they took walk-ins. She was rude. They have a high turnover rate. The one time l went for a pedicure they did a subpar job. I think they simply want your credit card # so they can charge the no shows. The only way to make an appointment is to give them your credit card #. I always show up for my appointments so I refuse to play the credit card game. my stepmom made me an appointment with her stylist friend, but failed to tell me she no longer works at The Polished Diamond. I went in and told them I had an appointment, and when they figured out it was with a former stylist, the two ladies at the front were very rude to me. I had been here before and received mediocre service, but this was straight up rude. I would never act this way at my retail job because it is bad for the company, and I think that the two ladies should keep that in mind. read more

The salon I s beautiful so clean, the staff are friendly. I have been there previously for a pedicure and was very pleased did not notice that there was much difference in the price from any other salon. I went there for a manicure yesterday with shellac polish the price listed for shellac is $25. I was happy with the manicure but when I came to pay I was charged $25 for the shellac and another $18 for the manicure. I have never been to any salon before where the shellac price did not include the manicure and I have had manicures in Miami,London, and on cruise ships this was the most expensive manicure I have had to date. There are other salons in this area where you can get the same service for a more competitive price but if price is not a consideration you will be very happy with the salon and staff. read more

Had an amazing pedicure and manicure by Jess. She takes her time and is very careful so she doesn't hurt you and makes sure it's done properly. I went with 2 of my friends. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the spa and the friendliness of the staff. However... this is an appointment only spa. I and another friend had scheduled to both get bikini waxes. She went first and her wax took 2.5 hours!!!!! She looked terrified when she came out. She only finished after I made the owner go check on her because it was taking so long. Our Mani-Pedi (mani we used shellac polish) costed us $98 each prior to tip! The polish has already started to chip 2 days later. So not worth it!. The worst part is that my friend that got waxed there was seriously hurt and has severe bruising and swelling to the point of needing medical attention. When she called the spa and talked to the owner about her concerns, the owner defended the lady that did the wax, saying that she was a master esthetician and that my friend had several hairs in one follicle. We have both had bikini waxes before and it has never caused that much damage, cost that much, nor taken that long. BEWARE, this place looks nice, the staff is friendly, the services are terrible. read more
