Excellent people and Alan the owner is a great man! I can hardly wait for my cannon barrel to look like living room material :).

They took my 50 year old fire nozzle which was very beaten up! It looked like a hunk of junk. They restored it to look brand new. The price was excellent and worth every penny of it. I have used the polished shop for many years, I've always had great service and phenomenal work from them. I have a custom truck that's been in several magazines, featured at Sema, and much more... They have done ALL of my polishing work, ALL with tremendous results. They are a busy shop because they do outstanding work, period. On rare occasions they must send parts out to get stripped from an outside vendor(s) which may cause slight delays - something beyond their control but they have always gone above and beyond to make me happy. I walked into the polishing shop not knowing anyone and felt like I knew Alan for years. Really I can't say enough about the quality of the work and the super professional customer service the crew at the polishing shop showed me. I went to pick up my parts and was blown away by the job. I actually had a couple more parts I was thinking about having polished but it was a no brainier when I saw the work Alan and his crew did. I immediately grabbed the other parts I had and handed them over. I'll be having a lot of stuff polished up only at The Polishing Shop!!!!! read more

These people do not know how to conduct business. We dropped off an item for plating on 8/2. We were told $75, possibly a little more. Sounded good! We said, when you know the firm price, call us and let us know so we can say yes or no. Two weeks later, still no word. We call. They tell us, it's at the platers, we don't know, we have to DRIVE down to the valley and find out. (guess the plater doesn't have a phone). Two days later still no word, we call again. We're told, the Polishing Shop will have info later this day. We call later. Now the price is $225. $225!! THREE times the quoted price... which in my book is way more that "a little more". We tell them forget it, don't do it. they say fine, we'll get it back from the plater in a couple fo days. we go by to pick up our presumably unplated item. Whoa! They had the work done and want to collect $225 from us!! Unbelievable. Since it's done, we tell them we'll give them $150, TWICE their quote, but that's it. Their response is to say, nope, we'll just have it UNplated and you can have it back in its original state. ?? Weird business practices for sure. At least we got our item back... we were a bit worried there! I wouldn't recommend them to an enemy! read more

The polishing shop is the way a business should be run. I live in Santa Barbara and I needed some very very corroded solid brass bathroom fixtures polished. When I contacted Joe's plating ( and for those of you who live in Santa Barbara know) they just recently closed their doors). So, I called all over - Ventura, Camarillo, LA- left multiple messages. The only person to call me back was Alan at the Polishing Shop - turns out their expertise is in polishing auto body parts. Go figure? I explain to him what my needs are and he was so knowledgeable and helpful. He was genuinely interested in helping me. My husband dropped off the fixtures for them to do a test run. He sent me pictures and even a FaceTime with me to make sure it would be acceptable. It was beautiful. We agreed to the price - which was extremely reasonable. Knowing that we had multiple bathrooms out of use - he did our job in four days!. I can't tell you how impressed I was with him and his helper David. We highly recommend their high quality of work, communication, and just an overall excellent level of customer service. You can't get any better. read more
