Excellent service and quick response! My 20-year-old garage door opener finally gave out this weekend, and I knew it was time for a replacement. I called and was able to get an appointment right away. Tony was fantastic, friendly, professional, and efficient. He installed the new opener and took the time to make sure I understood how everything worked before he left. I truly appreciate the outstanding customer service and smooth experience. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing garage door repairs or installation! Thank you! read more

Amazing customer service from start to finish! They were helpful when I first hired them and just as attentive when I needed support a few months later. When my garage door failed while still under warranty, they provided a replacement with no questions asked. I really appreciate a company that stands behind its work and continues to take care of its customers after the initial sale. Their pricing is very competitive, too. I highly recommend them! read more

On time. Kept me posted on arrival time via texts. Showed up, diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote on the spot (broken spring), and said he could be back 1 day after. Showed up did the job in 15 minutes. Done. Very nice guy, Tony G. Will stick with them 100%. read more

Left a message for them on a Sunday, not expecting a call back till Monday to set up an appointment. They contacted me within an hour and diagnosed the problem over the phone and told me how to fix it. My opener is over 20 years old and decided that it was time to replace it before I had more problems. Jason came out and installed an amazing opener with all the bells and whistles...and it is so quiet!!!! We had a little glitch, but Jason came back out and took care of it. Will definetly recommend them to my friends and family. You will not be disappointed using them. read more

Cannot recommend this company enough. It feels so good supporting a local owned business. I went with my hunch and chose this company for a variety of reasons but their CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TOP NOTCH! If you would like to support a good company that has amazing follow-through, this is it. I had a problem on July 3 and Tony (??) came out and helped me with setting a few things out and fixing the sensors. Bottom line, if a company advertises themselves with an 805 number, don't always believe that. Garage Door Doc has an 805 number and is in our area. read more

Great customer service. Repair was smooth. Arrived on time and very professional. Definitely recommend.

Helpful, honest, fair, and knowledgeable; a great experience. Fixed an issue with our garage door easily and without fuss.

Just top notch service all around! Tony was absolutely wonderful to work with. Honest and made it easy to understand without talking down to me. He said I needed a new opener, but I might as well wait for it to go out completely to "get every pull out of it". He told me the door was safe, that it wouldn't crush anyone or anything in the meantime. Indeed, one month later, it wouldn't open anymore. I called and he was out here within a day. He was early (even called to ask if he could be early) Fixed it in less than 45 minutes. Price was quite fair and easy payment, too. Could not ask for more from any company, really highly recommend! read more

They do great diagnostic work and are extremely efficient. Always on time with a wonderful office staff. Very reasonable pricing for service calls. read more

This company responded quickly. A technician was dispatched the same day I called. Jason the technician analyzed the issue and gave us detailed information. We set up a day to fix our garage door. Tony from Garage Door Doc was able to arrive 2 hours earlier than scheduled. Showed me the problem was not serious, only a reset needed, problem caused by electrical weirdness in my home recently. No charge. Tony was awesome! I highly recommend them. read more

I recently pushed the button to open my garage door and... nothing. (At least in our case, there are several issues after all the rain. Coincidence?) My wife needed to use her car. The door wouldn't budge even after pulling on the detachment cord. No Bueno. So I did what I always do in these situations. I procrastinated. After a couple of days, I called a few places. I ended up using these guys - The Garage Door Doctor out of Camarillo. Same day service was dispatched and AJ arrived a couple of hours later. He diagnosed and fixed the problem, and also adjusted the spring while he was at it. The service call was $85. It was obvious for a while that our opener motor was struggling. So I also asked these guys for a quote on a new opener. I was offered 3 options and I went with a belt drive system. The system is up to date, with new remote openers, sensors, a phone app and keypad. And it is quiet. The new system was installed today. $885 total and they credited the recent $85 service/repair call, which I appreciate. Great service from a local small business. read more

Called on a Monday and they were willing to come out that day. Had to schedule for Tuesday, Jason arrived on time and prepared. Repaired two doors, excellent work. The doors will eventually need to be replaced and they will get our business. Thanks! read more

We needed to replace our torsion springs on our garage door. We were able to schedule appointment 2 business days from our call. Technician was on time and completed the work in about 20 min. Cost for Heavy duty torsion springs, labor and warranty was $425. Our garage is working pretty solid now, happy with the work they provided. Thanks Garage Doc.! read more

We rehired this business again, because the metal wiring to the door was fraying and risking snapping off. Jason not only was on time, but early both times he showed up with prompt and friendly communication. He fixed the issue quickly. There were no issues. It's refreshing to find a business that doesn't ghost you, isn't sloppy, and does what they say they will while being very fair on pricing. The amount of bad businesses I've tried to hire for various fixes has been staggering since Covid. They're one in a million and I highly recommend them to fix or install your garage doors. read more

They were able to come the soonest (the day after I called) of any company I called and fixed what was broken quickly. I even called the companies that falsely advertise same day 24/7 service and then they say it will be two days. I have no complaints about my experience with this company. They were easy to use. Price was quite reasonable for labor and parts. They even accept credit cards which is unusual these days without an extra charge. I would recommend them from this experience. read more

I phoned and made an appointment, but it was only a third-party answering service and the appointment was not valid - no one was available that day. I cancelled and went elsewhere. read more

Learned that whoever installed my garage door did a bad job and called these guys to come and fix it before the rain storm coming our way. Jason came by quickly and fixed the problem within a couple hours! I was expecting after the new year at least. Stand up guy. Got charged a service fee which included repositioning my motor bracket and re-calibrating the device for $85! Will definitely recommend and call the Garage Door Doctor again in a heartbeat. read more

I'm writing this review late, but I had Jason from The Garage Door Doctor to come to my house to replace faulty wheel and install a new garage door light. Jason saw that other wheels needed replacing and took care of it without a second thought. He was really kind, thorough, and helpful. I would choose them again for my Garage Door needs. I'm grateful I found them. read more

Jason came earlier than the projected arrival time, and was able to diagnose and solve my garage door issue in less than 30 minutes. I'm happy I called a professional to handle this because my suspicion about what was causing my problem was actually incorrect. If I had tried to tackle this myself, I would have a bunch of specialized tools and parts, likely sunk a couple hours of time into the project, and still would be experiencing the same problem. Time and money well spent! read more

I had great service, start to finish, with The Garage Door Doctor. I talked to them on Friday over the phone with what my issues were. They gave some great advice, and they came on Saturday and git me up & running. read more

Tony arrived at my house on time. After talking to briefly about what to keep and what to replace exactly. He went on his work and I my meeting. Three hours later, the job was done quickly and he did clean the site. Updated: There was a gap between the door and molding, Ron came to fix the problem next day I notified them. You should have confidences that they will respond and fix your garage problems timely. I recommend their services. read more

Old garage door opener from the last century finally passed over the rainbow bridge and Tony G was quick to respond the same day. I never thought I would fall in love with a garage door opener, but that's what happened when this company came out. Our opener spring broke, and we were unable to lift the garage door since it was insulated. Our cars were trapped inside. They came out quickly & showed us that the spring had not only broken but had wrapped around the opener. He installed a new door opener which is smoother & quieter & even has a light that goes on when you enter the garage. Yes, I'm in love! read more

I had such a pleasant experience with the Garage Door Doctor. There was no problem scheduling an appointment. If all contractors could be like Jason, having repairs done would be so much easier. I reached out through Yelp and got 3 estimates to fix a cracked panel on a 4-panel metal garage door. Although the damage was caused by my family, it is a rental so I was looking for the cheapest possible solution. Unfortunately, all 3 told me that I'd have to replace all 4 panels as the garage doors were older and the manufacturer changes the style every few years, plus the sun hitting the doors all those years would lighten the paint. Unfortunate news, but since this was an HOA issue, cosmetics were the important part. Garage Door Doctor came out on time and quoted me a price $300 less than anyone else. It took a week for the panels to come in and they did the repairs in about an hour and looks and works great. Highly recommend!!! read more

Jason contacted us before arriving. The problem was the safety lights not in line. He fixed the problem. No charge! He already was in the neighborhood. This is the second time they have come out and fixed what I thought was going to be an expensive repair and it was a small problem the first time and a no problem this time. They are the nicest, most polite people you would ever want to do business with. I wouldn't think of calling anyone else. read more

Sometimes things happen life and you can't do anything about it except for complain about it and then smile about it later. That happened to us the other night when my son, who is still learning who to drive, confused the pedals and the car and went through our garage door... Anyways, the damage was so bad that all of the rails, springs and every component a garage door has needed to be replaced. I looked up various garage repair people and The Garage Doctor was the first to get back to me and offered to come out that same day to look at the carnage. They came out, told me that nothing could be salvaged and offered to do the door, rails, springs installation the very next morning. I was so impressed with their flexibility and professionalism that I had them replace motor too since it was very old and loud. The installation day came the very next morning and after 6 hours (it was mostly just 1 guy doing it) I had a brand new door installed which was so quiet that now we can't even tell when someone comes home. Everything was very well done and I was very pleased with their work and professionalism throughout the whole process. Will definitely recommend to anyone that asks me for any garage service needs. read more

I sent out a quote request and Garage Door Dr. Was first to respond within minutes. In less than an hour they were at my door with a price on the lower side of their quote. The repair tech. The gears in our garage door opener broke and husband diagnosed it, because he's replaced them a few times in the 20 years we've had the house. This time, we were leaving on vacay in a few days and had a long list of errands, so he couldn't fit the task in and said he was too damn old to do it anyway! I turned to Yelp reviews and used Yelp to get 3 quotes. Two vendors wanted to replace the whole motor which costs 3x more. But at this shop, the owner Ken immediately replied with a 2 quotes - one for the gears only and another for the motor, if it turned out to need that. I appreciated how Ken didn't immediately try to upsell me into the whole motor. He was also the earliest available and didn't charge just to come out to see it, like one of the other vendors did. I used Yelp's messaging to send him pics of the motor's model number and in 2 days Ken was on-site and quickly repaired the gear. He was pleasant, on time, and very professional. Hubby felt he went the extra mile by replacing old hardware, like screws, and making adjustments and tune-ups to fine tune the door operations. Thanks, Ken! read more
