The counselors were fun and supportive. The activities were engaging. Thomas loved the food. This year he encouraged a friend from school to join him. That boy had a great time, and they both made new friends too. Thomas came back with greater confidence and displaying more independence too. We can't wait to get back the pictures he took with his disposable camera! What I love best, besides hearing the stories about him getting up early to care for the horses that he once found intimidating, was the call we received from Dawn mid-week. We weren't worried. We've had great experiences at Cloverleaf. We know the ratios of campers to counselors allows for attentive care. Still, the mid-week phone call telling us how his week was going just reinforced how much the staff really cares. For this reason, Cloverleaf will continue to be a Cremidis family tradition for many years to come. Next year, little brother will be old enough for residential camp and he's already making plans for how he'll spend his time.

I didn't feel comfortable with this arrangement and am glad I didn't sign my daughter up for sleep-away camp. She enjoyed the day camp but the staff seemed more concerned with protecting themselves rather than allowing parents to protect their children. I was expecting some nice local horse riding girls to mentor her and instead had to leave her with boys who wouldn't tell me their names. She won't be back.

I don't have my own horse, and I'm basically a beginning rider. She paired me with her horse, Bubbles, who is lovely. Crysta asked what I'd like to work on and we went from there. We focused a lot on getting in tune with my body and the horses movements - it really made a difference over just a few lessons. She was patient, positive, and explained why we need to do what we do as riders. We also worked on basic horsemanship and a little groundwork, which was new to me and so fun. She is very elegant and very nice to ride in. I will highly recommend Sara but you do have to work. You have to groom the horse you ride. Also ask her to use the speaker horn so you can hear her instructions well. I love horses and getting to know them is really a precious adventure. Sara does provide that environment. Take all necessary precautions like wearing helmet, start slow and thorough, and be sensitive to the horse and yourself. You will have a lifetime enjoyment. Good luck.

Her lessons were about an hour and a half long, which is very generous. I learned how to groom and prepare horses for being ridden, which is something I've never been able to do. I really enjoyed getting to bond with the horse I rode, named George. We returned to Sonoma in 2026 with a small group and booked another tour. Booking and communication was a breeze. Very good. Ends up the property I rented offered a wine passport and we were to receive a discount. I called to confirm and they let me know the driver would apply the discount when we paid him the day of the tour. All sounded wonderful and was very clearly communicated. The tour in 2026 only went to 3 wineries. Two were just ok and one was not good. I don't think anyone on our tour purchased anything here. The time at each winery was like a typical tasting with some information on their winery. But no real information on Sonoma and Napa and the history of the area. At the end our driver had no clue on our discount and kept telling me he would get in trouble for charging me less. He insinuated I was making it all up. In the end he did honor the discount but seemed he did it as a favor not that it was a program that Platypus participates in. All in all I was disappointed in this wine tour and would no go on a platypus tour again and would not recommend them. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day. Luckily all the people on our tour were delightful so that made for a nice day.

They could have been difficult about billing adjustments but really went out of their way to make sure we were happy.
