I have been there 3 times Front desk is friendly and…read moreefficient. Nurses and nurse PM treated me well and were very attentive. I checked in with my primary doctor and he concurred with with the diagnosis and treatment. I am very pleased with the treatment and results. A nice touch is that they call a few days latter to check up on you and to make sure all is ok.

I could no longer fully straighten or bend my finger, couldn't make a fist, and the swelling had extended from the base of my finger into my palm. The pain was so severe that I couldn't comfortably hold my cellphone or even pick up my son. When scheduling my appointment, I wrote "possible trigger finger, maybe an X-ray" because I was simply trying to describe my symptoms--not diagnose myself. At check-in, I was turned away by the front desk before ever being evaluated by a medical provider. I was told, "They can't do anything for a trigger finger." I explained that I didn't know if it was trigger finger and that I was only listing it as a possibility. I was then asked if I had any trauma to the finger. When I said no, I was told an X-ray wouldn't help either. What concerns me most is that no one actually examined my finger. No provider looked at it, assessed the swelling, or asked additional questions before deciding I couldn't be seen. I went to another urgent care immediately afterward, where I was promptly evaluated and diagnosed with cellulitis. I was started on antibiotics and prescribed ibuprofen, and within a day I experienced noticeable improvement. While it still hurts, I can now move my finger much better. My complaint isn't that the diagnosis was missed it's that I was denied a medical evaluation altogether based solely on what I wrote as a possible diagnosis during scheduling. Patients often describe what they think might be wrong, but that should never replace an actual assessment by a healthcare provider. I hope this office reviews its triage process so that future patients with potentially serious conditions are not turned away without being examined.

I didn't want to drive die to the injury. During the drive, I virtually checked in. It took about 5 minutes. Doing so, I did not have to fill out any paperwork there. Everything was electronically submitted including insurance cards and virtual signatures of all of the forms. I thought all of the staff were very kind, friendly and competent. They did what had to be done for my injury , and I was on my way. I was shocked to see how many people have a negative view of this practice. This is my third time here, and I have never had any issue and have received excellent care. Some complain about a wait, but that's to be expected if there are people ahead of you and you want quality care. I was seen timely based on the number of people ahead of me every time. Ultimately, I have had several positive interactions here and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thats my 2¢, , for those that remember that rating system!

Doctor comes in, also did not listen to my concerns, looked in my child's ears and said 'it's viral, I'm not giving antibiotics'. I had to ask the doctor to look in his mouth and listen to his chest. He didn't even ask me to turn my child around so he could see him from the front. Ultimately I got no answers or even a full physical exam on a very sick two year old. Would not recommend this facility to anyone.

At that time, after each visit someone would take you by the hand to the scheduling staff to make your next appointment. You were almost treated like a child which sounds ridiculous but is so appropriate when you have cancer, you feel like a child... you feel so lost. Ever since Cleveland Clinic has come to Vero, things have changed and unfortunately not in a good way. I have read so many reviews and heard so many positive things about Cleveland Clinic elsewhere but somehow, they are just not finding their footing here. I have just been transferred to my 6th oncologist because they keep leaving. I had one who had come to try it out tell me he hated it at Cleveland Clinic. I also have had one tell me he didn't have time for me, literally the first words out of his mouth to me. It is very obvious it is now being run like a treadmill, patient in patient out quick quick quick. It is just such a shame because the staff there work so hard to try to make things better for those of us in such a terrible situation, and they are clearly not being rewarded as cherished staff. I am still so grateful for the care that I have received but I feel forced to write this review because of a situation I am currently experiencing. The chemo had stopped working for me and my oncologist came up with a plan to begin in two weeks, but in the meantime my tumors are growing and I haven't had any treatments for 6 weeks. Patients are starting to fall through the cracks and it just isn't right. Things are finally back on track but these situations continue to happen. We have a beautiful facility here with the best and most modern treatments and it is being completely sullied by Mismanagement. Currently, there is one person reading the results of radiology tests, so we are all delayed in finding out where we stand. Patients are coming in to find out the results only to learn the results aren't in yet. Does that make any sense at all? Well, apparently it does to management. I will continue to fight for my life and am so grateful to all who have helped me.

Absolutely wonderful surgeon. I had heard he was a very good doctor before I had to use his…read moreservices. The medical community in which I work was buzzing about him before I had meet him. When I did actually meet him, my 85 year old mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. He was recommended and referred by my mother's primary care doctor, Dr. Susan Murphy (no relation). Let me first say I have worked as a health care professional for over 25 years and I know 90 percent of the doctors here in the Vero Beach area. Most surgeons are somewhat cocky, have no bed side manner, and some I would say cautiously say have a "God complex". Dr. Ed Murphy has none of those qualities. During her first initial consult he was caring, compassionate and treated my mother with dignity and respect and even held her hand when she broke down during the consult. He explained the risks of the surgery and was truthful and honest about the outcome but did it in a way that didn't completely scare my mother to death. His office staff were extremely helpful and friendly and any questions or concerns we had they answered and helped us with. They were great when they helped us set up Home Health Care for her recovery at home.. By the way, Dr. Murphy was able to save her breast and the scarring is minimal. After my mother's surgery, about 4 months later, my husband had a gall bladder attack and needed emergency surgery. At the ER we requested him for the surgical consult and even the ER doctor told me we couldn't have chosen a better surgeon. The doctor was very busy but still took on my husband's case. My husband loved him! He was very down to earth, and you could joke and kid around with him too. He was also very professional and told us of the risks and complications that my husband might face. He never candy coated anything. My husband too has dealt with surgeons in there past, as he too had worked at a large hospital and knew many surgeons. He was impressed with his bed side manner. Dr. Murphy removed the gall bladder and even repaired a small umbilical hernia. My husband was in and out of the hospital within 48 hours and his recovery was uncomplicated. You can hardly see the scars but I guess that's because it was done with laparoscopy. Also, the wait time at his office for both the consults and follow-ups were pretty good with both my mother and my husband's cases. In past dealings with other surgeons we were waiting 3 hours because the office staff booked 5 patients at the same appointment. That is so very aggravating and then if your late by 10-15 minutes some doctors refuse to see you or make you reschedule.... but they will make you wait for hours. Needless to say, this was NOT the case at Dr. Murphy's office... no 3 hour wait time. One time we did wait an hour but the office called us ahead of time and told us there would be a wait because of an emergency that had arisen and they gave us the option to reschedule. I thought that was very thoughtful. Lord forbid I need his services again, but if I do, I will be calling on him! He is an awesome surgeon and doctor. Highly recommended!!!

He went into V-tach and the nurses in cardiac therapy were quickly responsive and he was transported to the ER. This in no way changed how positive we felt about the cardiac therapy at Indian River. The ER immediately took my husband to a room and started monitoring his heart and started an IV. I was told this could cause sudden death and a hospitalist came into the room and I started asking questions. He told me he hadn't looked at my husband's chart so I had no idea why he came in without any knowledge of my husband's medical history. I told him before I knew that he was going to be admitted that I wanted to know what caused the V-Tach as I was worried about this happening at home and he didn't have any symptoms leading me to believe something was about to go wrong. He then responded that I could go out on the sidewalk and get killed by a car. What? What a way to address a wife who is already anxious about her husband's health and well being. The cardiac unit was good and we did in fact find out the cause and are handling this situation at home with his cardiologist at Mayo Clinic. This was our second visit in 2 years to Indian River ER and the last visit was actually more disturbing. Something needs to change in that ER.
