I went to the MD Now at 1150 US 1 in Vero Beach, FL. I had to wait for about 15 minutes before being see. I was fortunate enough to have my wife drive me there. I didn't want to drive die to the injury. During the drive, I virtually checked in. It took about 5 minutes. Doing so, I did not have to fill out any paperwork there. Everything was electronically submitted including insurance cards and virtual signatures of all of the forms. I thought all of the staff were very kind, friendly and competent. They did what had to be done for my injury , and I was on my way. I was shocked to see how many people have a negative view of this practice. This is my third time here, and I have never had any issue and have received excellent care. Some complain about a wait, but that's to be expected if there are people ahead of you and you want quality care. I was seen timely based on the number of people ahead of me every time. Ultimately, I have had several positive interactions here and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thats my 2¢, , for those that remember that rating system! read more

Out of town guest with a very sick toddler. Intake nurse smelled like cigarettes, did not even look at my child and walked out of the room while I was still listing symptoms saying 'doctor will be in'. Very rude and unprofessional. Doctor comes in, also did not listen to my concerns, looked in my child's ears and said 'it's viral, I'm not giving antibiotics'. I had to ask the doctor to look in his mouth and listen to his chest. He didn't even ask me to turn my child around so he could see him from the front. Ultimately I got no answers or even a full physical exam on a very sick two year old. I went in for a pre-op exam and waited 45 minutes after my appointment was due. It turned out a UTI was found and they did not inform me. A total knee replacement had to be canceled due to their non existent communication and lack of care. Numerous calls and messages to them went ignored and unanswered. This is a VERY costly error for me and I am livid! read more

1150 US 1 in Vero Beach. Disappointing to say the least. I signed up online for an appointment. I indicated, when asked by the app, that I could be there in 30 minutes, but after 15 minutes I got a text that said, basically, "you're late, your appointment was canceled." Then had to wait for 30 minutes in the lobby, although there were no other cars in the parking lot. Once they brought me to the back, there was a grueling 20 minutes with the tech who took my health history. Then the practitioner (who didn't introduce himself, not even sure if he was a doc or a nurse) came in, looked at me for 20 seconds and told me I probably had a virus and shrugged his shoulders when I asked what non-prescription things could be done to alleviate my annoying symptom. He gave me a prescription for what I'd incorrectly thought it was (not virus). Very unsatisfying, he didn't even test for what virus it might be. This used to be a good clinic when it was MedExpress, but these guys (HCA I think) bought it about a year ago, I was told. Probably not going back.... read more

Michelle was the least friendly receptionist I have ever interacted with. We entirely completed our check in process online and had an estimated appointment at 8:20. We arrived at 8:10 and stood at the reception desk for 17 minutes before Michelle acknowledged our existence. When I politely inquired if we could simply give our name to inform of arrival, she said she was too busy. When we were "allowed" to check in, we were told there was a one hour wait. I once again had an excellent experience and received good and timely care at MD Now on the Miracle Mile in Vero Beach, Florida. The front-office person, Sabrina, was extremely polite and helpful. When it was my turn, I was interviewed/profiled by Susan, a very thorough Nurse or "Tech" and then professionally and courteously treated by a Nurse Practitioner named Andrea Machado. My fears were relieved, I received a specific program to follow, and I left feeling I had just made three new friends who cared about my well being. Thank you very much. Please note that this is an excellent and convenient alternative to our local overburdened hospital Emergency Rooms. read more

I arrived @ 11:00. I was taken in about 20 minutes to the back to wait for the provider. No complaints there. The physician came into the room @ 12:15, said "you have a temp" (it was only 99). did not ask my symptoms, health history, or medications taken. Then said I" am going to test for COVID." Then left. Thirty minutes later a nurse came in and took a swab. I then had to wait twenty minutes for that to take place. After that, the physician came in and gave me a prescription for Paxlovid. I was concerned about a secondary bronchial infection as I was coughing up thick yellow mucous. He would not listen to my concerns. He said "you have COVID and I am treating you with an antiviral." I told him I was tested for COVID @ Indian River Hospital on 9-1. That was already done, and I am there because of a concern for a bronchial infection. He didn't want to hear about any of that. He wanted to treat me with an antiviral and that was that. Since he didn't ask for my health history, he didn't know that I have Stage 3 kidney disease. And, he gave me twice the dose of Paxlovid that I needed. That is unexcusable for a physician. It wasn't like he was overworked, as there were only 3 patients in the waiting room when I came in. That was just shy of two 2 hours in the clinic and I had only 60 seconds with the doctor. Then I was given double the dose of Paxlovid that I needed. If I hadn't check with the phymacist I would have taken the wrong dosage. Something is wrong. I will not go back. read more

If you want to go somewhere for medical help to be spoken down to, not taken seriously & have your pain be invalidated I highly recommend this urgent care! Upon walking in the receptionist was extremely rude with the demeanor that someone needing medical help in a medical office is an inconvenience. The doctors dumbed down my very obvious sickness to just needing a doctors note for work, I heard the nurse leave the room after doing my vitals and explain how I feel just to say "but she just needs a doctors note for work". Almost 100% positive they trashed my covid test after because I never received any results. The doctor checked my throat and said I had strep and then asked me what he wanted me to write on the doctors note as if he is not a doctor himself. It was extremely unprofessional and I felt like I was blatantly not being taken serious at all the entire time. Not to mention I left a doctors office with clear symptoms of covid with no results! The icing on the cake was hearing them talk bad about other patients from the other room while I was trying to receive medical help. I wonder what they said about me when I left! I have quite literally NEVER wrote a bad review, not for a restaurant or any type of establishment so just know this is extremely necessary. I left feeling worse than I did when I got there. The online registration is very helpful so that you dont have to wait there- they will text you when its your time to come in. Was seen promptly. The nurse was very nice. The doctor looked in my ears and listened to my lungs. Never looked at my throat. I explained symptoms that were flu like. Sent me home with prescription for antibiotics and steroids. Never tested me for flu, strep or covid. I took my own test for covid and that's what I had. Dont go to this place if you want real healthcare. Its a joke. read more

Went here after tested positive for Covid to discuss medication options. Not examined by the physician or asked any questions about my symptoms or medical history, yet first told me why I was not a candidate for Paxlovid. I asked about alternate treatment with Lageviro and he had never heard of it. This med has been available since 2021 and on the CDC website. I had to show him the website. Then he told me he could not prescribe it as "it was not allowed" by the company. At a minimum, a patient presenting with Covid should be asked about their history and examined. After waiting 2 hours to be seen the rushed out the door, this was substandard care. Had to seek care elsewhere where I was examined and it was determined I was a candidate for the alternate med. The worst part is my insurance was charged $381 for the visit; it wasn't worth the $150 paid by the insurance company. Do not recommend this practice! read more

When I arrived with my 91 year old mother they registered usand i kept repepating what i needed. The PA or ARNP came up I reiterated that I was seeking rgeneron or monoclonoal antibody treatments as I had been told they had this service. No one knew what it was.. Really? wow I was so surprised that people in the medical field were clueless. They did not have pcr test or rapid antigen just serology... Completely mal adept at anticipating the populations needs during this new omicron surge. I travelled to ST. cloud where my mother and I recived regeneron. I spent an hour at this urgent care facility. The process is super weird. You check in, wait 20 minutes and then they check you in again, where they input your insurance. I Walked out because they wanted to charge $170 per person to be seen (1 adult and 3 children). They claimed we had not met our deductible and that was the negotiated rate with my insurance, this is in network. I know for certain that my deductible had been met because of major procedures earlier this year and then I logged in to my insurance portal and confirmed. Why am I even paying over 1200 a month for what is considered premium PPO insurance to then pay hundreds per visit?! I ended up walking out and going to Care Spot Urgent Care down the street, also in network and the copay was $0. They want to charge hundreds for our family without the additional testing that I would have requested. At that point I might as well go to an ER. read more

Taking over an hour to get to see a doctor Would be nice if the receptionist could coordinate with doctor to update wait times, to let patients know it will take over an hour to get in. I had been feeling poorly for days and unable to eat properly. My husband was worried and finally convinced me to go to urgent care. I avoid any interaction with the medical community but, I finally conceded and went to see a doctor. As it turned out, it was a huge error in thinking to go to this facility. The doctor, Dr. Katz, asked some questions that I answered very honestly thinking perhaps it would shed light on whatever was causing me to feel so poorly. In retrospect, when a physician enters the room and asks you about your "pee and poop" it should have been a warning sign of his unprofessionalism in speaking to a 66 year old educated woman. I was a bit taken aback but decided to let it go. Back to one of the standard questions. Do you drink? "Yes, we enjoy wine with dinner in the evening". My answer was honest and forthright. He didn't bother to ask about the "we" reference. Was I referring to 2 people, 4, maybe 6??? Imagine my complete disbelief when I received the discharge paper stating that "alcohol abuse" was part of the diagnosis! Really??? I have known myself for 66 years and this "doctor" has now labeled me with a diagnosis of "alcohol abuse"? I have to say that this diagnosis has to be the most ludicrous ever imaginable to me and, I suspect anyone who has ever known me! By the way, I reiterate my point, I have known myself for 66 years and suffice it to say that this certainly came as a shock to me from someone who has had a nanosecond of interaction with me! He failed to ask about current medical issues, family history of disease, anything unusual or stressful going on in my life......Typical questions that health care professionals would be well advised to delve into when assessing someones health issues. As it turns out, there was an excessive amount of bacteria found in the urine sample The office called to give me the results and advise me of a prescription being called in to my pharmacy. I requested a copy of the results for my review. They said they would send the lab report immediately. Two days pass with no report submitted. I telephoned and was told I could pick up the results whereupon I advised that I wanted it delivered electronically. After 2 requests I received the report and concluded that I would get the medicine. I'm sure it comes as no surprise that a full 2 days later when I went to the pharmacy there was nothing there. Another telephone call and the staff advised me there had been an electronic issue and the prescription would be called in right then....Mistake after mistake from this facility. In January 2020, before covid, my legs were covered with red dots and extremely itchy keeping me awake and miserable for a couple of days before I decided to go to MD Now medical center. I waited two hours to see a doctor for two minutes only to have him misdiagnose. I ended up in the emergency room two days later with a severe allergic reaction. To add insult to injury I was billed almost $100 on top of the $250 they already received from my insurance company. So I called them and they said, no problem that they would waive balance. In November 2020 I received a letter from their collection agency. I called them to explain my situation. They said they would call me back but they did not. read more

On December 26, 2020, I took my wife to MD NOW at Miracle Mile, Vero Beach, FL. It was busy and Dr. Katz and his staff moved patients in and out as best they could. My wife had a torn skin injury to her lower leg. Dr. Katz removed the bandage my wife had applied, gently, and carefully moved the torn skin, using a pain killer, up on her wound to close the skin gap and glued the torn skin to her leg. First let me say that I have a regular doctor but I was feeling awful on a Sunday. Aches, headache and painful beathing. My lungs hurt when breathing and made worse by lying down. I was afraid of onset of bronchitis or pneumonia. This had been going on and getting worse each day for three days. I was made to pay up front and now I know why. I was not seen by a doctor, but a nurse practitioner. And her STUDENT was the one to "exam" me. She took my blood pressure, temperature and listened to my chest. That was it. Have your writing hand ready, because each time you arrive you have to re-create your entire chart and & health history on yourself, and family. I don't know why, perhaps they do not have adequate computer storage, of enough filing cabinets. If you go for blood work, make certain you listen closely as to when the results will be in. This Clinic was bought out by MD Now Urgent Care. I went the other day for a simple blood test for work. The receptionist Sabrina was very nice. My problem is with the women that did the blood draw. There seemed to be a lot of contusion about my blood test. She brought me into the exam room and said she was going to take my Blood pressure and then the MD would be in to see me. I very nicely told her that I was there for a blood test. She asked me if I had the paperwork. I told her that I gave everything to the receptionist when I signed in. She left the exam room and a few minutes later I hear her and another person talking about what needle to use to draw my blood and if she uses a butterfly needle she needs to prime the line first etc etc. She comes back in the exam room and I asked her if she had ever draw blood before. She then said to me everyone that works here is competent and how insulted she she for telling her she is incompetent!!!. Um no. I did not say any of that!!! I am a Registered Nurse and the patient I have every right to ask another medical professional who is about to do an invasive procedure on me whether or not they have done it before!!! Especially since there seemed to be so much confusion. Instead of taking the opportunity to reassure me the patient. The person in the vulnerable position she became defensive and made it about her. I was in shock. I.found myself on the verge of tears. I will never go back. There are too many other clinics in town to be treated with so much insensitivity. read more
