This office failed to meet that standard. From the start, Jennifer Lumsdaine was condescending and disrespectful to my mother, treating her as though her concerns were unimportant. I am horrified that this has happened. For approximately 10 years, I thought my house was protected from probate, being in a trust. If something had happened to me, or if I did not find this out, half of my house value would have gone into probate for my two children! A few years ago, I called to review my trust and found that Sydney Mendlovitz had become deceased. I spoke with Foster JD, who now has the practice, hoping to continue to work with the same firm for continuity. I experienced Mr. Foster to be generally unfriendly and awkward to communicate with. I even tried a while later thinking that I just caught him on a bad day, but experienced the same thing. I let it go for a few years until now. Despite knowing Colleen Pratt and dealing with her personally for over 20 years, her treatment and conduct were not only unprofessional but also very hurtful. I have many years of legal experience, and I'm shocked by the unprofessionalism I received from Mrs. Pratt and her team. Despite referring multiple family and friends to her firm, I was taken aback when Mrs. Pratt implied that I said she didn't care about her clients. This claim is not only false, but also absurd given the number of referrals I've made to her directly. I was left to handle critical aspects of my claim including personally picking up my medical records from hospitals, scheduling my own MRI, obtaining the MRI results, obtaining additional pertinent documentation, and ascertaining my own Orthopedic treatment. Making matters worse my claim was accepted and she did nothing to obtain what I was entitled to. I needed an orthopedic and she sent me to a chiropractor which, frankly made my condition worse. Her office failed to secure necessary evaluations and treatment for my debilitating injuries, and my case sat in limbo. I was often alone on conference calls with her staff, as Mrs. Pratt was never present. When I switched attorneys, I received 4x the offer Colleen presented me with, plus benefits such as my back TTD benefits owed to me, current benefits, penalties, mileage reimbursement and anything else I was entitled to. To make matters worse, Mrs. Pratt implied that I should settle my case quickly due to my sister's passing, completely disregarding the severity of my injuries and the impact on my life. To top it off, Mrs. Pratt is seeking attorney fees for work she didn't do - I'm the one along with my husband's support who did the work & heavy lifting on my case. I have plenty of documentation to support my claims. I strongly advise others to research their attorneys carefully before hiring anyone. BEWARE... Contacting Barbara Craig's law office turned out to be a big mistake…read more The first red flag is when I called during their working hours and their voice message said they were closed. But I ignored it and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Then I called the next day to discuss the firm potentially helping me with my case. Instead of being patient and allowing me explain, the representative sharply cut me of and turned me down, assuming I had a case fit for trial. But then I explained to him that my case was in default and would only need pre-litigation to complete. Then he was interested again. But as soon as I continued explaining, the man rudely cut me off again. Then when I simply asked him to allow me to finish, he over talked me again. So I gracefully excused myself. Whether a law office can assist with a case or not, I'm just a big believer in professionalism. I just wanted to share my experience. I'm an Air Force veteran and this is my true and sworn testimony.
