Excellent service, lovely sangria, only tried one dish but it was nice. Staff were very nice. I'm returning soon!

Have been there 3 or 4 times, yes it's a bit pricey but the food is great, the service is great, and it's a really pleasant place to eat

Varied daily menu, tasty meals in good portions and a friendly atmosphere. Probably the only place of it's kind in the vicinity.

Bar 191 is essentially a tapas bar that has a Mediterranean feel with an art deco hint to it…read more The atmosphere was relaxed and I found the tapas tasty. Especially the ribs and prawn dishes. Although you need to order at least 3 tapas each to fill the gap as they tend to come up small. However I found the service was not really that good and sometimes the dishes did not come out together so you can be left waiting for certain orders. wine list is extensive with around 80 wines, both new and old world, and most of them are available by the glass. Talking about wines, they do this unique option to order 'flights' of wine which is 3 good sized samples of a particular grape i.e. 3 Sauvignon Blanc, giving you the opportunity to compare wines from different countries and price points. Not bad for this neck of the woods where it can be hard to find a good restaurant.

I grabbed a willing sidekick and rocked up at Bar 191. We walked in and were given a choice of tables (see Zizzi's Twickenham review. Grr. I'll let it go at some point!). The lady who came over was polite but very firm. She did not smile as she greeted us which was a little off putting. We sat down and looked at the wine list which had an international bouquet of choice and was impressive for a small restaurant. Each bottle was described well, making it easy to blag some wine knowledge to a hot new date, and most are served by the glass as well as by bottle. We ordered a Spanish Birlocho due to it being 'Citrusy with notes of fennel and a fresh & lively taste. Good balance and long aftertaste. Very dry.' (See what I mean?). It was a very good choice and with the amount of wines available, the menu will satisfy the pickiest wine anorak. The food menu was split between hot and cold tapas, mains, including three types of paella, and desserts. They suggest ordering two or three tapas per person which is about right. I went for Chorizo in cider, Wild Boar and peppers and Anchovies with citrus while my friend opted for Battered squid with lemon mayo and a greek salad. The food comes out when it is ready so the dishes hit the table at different times. I prefer it this way so I know everything is piping hot and anything that gets me eating quicker is fine with me! It was well cooked and tasty. The portions vary in size and its probably best to go for three per person. The anchovies were very small whereas there was loads of chorizo so its all a real toss up. The only downer was the service. The staff were rushed off their feet (best to book if your coming after 8 o'clock incidently) and I do have a lot of sympathy and respect for what they do but it doesn't hurt to smile. When the dishes were put on the table they set them down and walked away without saying a word or even breaking their stride. To give them the benefit of the doubt, it was rammed and it looked like they only had two people serving. All in all, this was a good experience. The food was reasonably priced and the service, although unfriendly, was quick.

Hey have a pretty good deal - £6 burrito that includes a soft drink. It wasn't very busy but it did take about 5 min to come out. I guess I'm used to burrito bars where most of it is already made. Donde está el sabor? Sadly the burritos I make at home with the kits have more taste. It's presented very nicely and surely they use nice ingredients but sadly when you mostly taste the melted cheddar cheese or sometimes the plain rice - it does deserve a one or two star review. I had to drown it in the jalapeño sauce. When you have places like Tortilla that's considerably fast food and tastes really nice - probably wouldn't come back here for the food. I always want independent places like this to do well but sorry do they know what Mexican food should taste like?

Sufficed to say the beer was the best thing out of the experience. What we ordered: Chicken Burrito - it looked good because it was overstuffed with chicken, but looks can be TOTALLY deceiving. The chicken had NO flavor and it was COLD! Wtf! Baja Fish Tacos and Carnitas Tacos- the fish was ok but that was it. The tortillas for these "street tacos" were dry and crumbly Never again!

Tendido Cuatro is the 3rd restaurant opened by Cambio de Tercio and is more of a Tapas restaurant…read more This is the largest of their venues and great for parties or groups of people and has a large outside venue .. ok ok, not for the current climate but certainly for spring and summer. The kitchen is open with a large grill similar to Andalusian Bars. It is a colourful restaurant with ochre, lilac and red and the waiting staff are as colourful, miles of smiles and loads of patience too as I heard them describe items on the menu to patrons. The lunch and dinner menu seem to vary greatly but I will highly recommend the tapas here. All the dishes we had tasted fresh and were beautifully prepared and presented. I also heard a whisper saying they will soon be serving the very best Paella in the UK. I will go back to taste the paella and to see if it beats my own. Dessert menu is not large but certainly the cheese board with quince jelly is highly recommended. Wine list is very good although I thought a little pricey. However do try their Muscadel dessert wines .. this truly serves to make one mellow and contented with life and is the perfect end to the evening. Downside for outside, during the day, would be the traffic noise in New Kings Road, but for Harley enthusiasts it is a good place to watch countless of them going by.

They are neither rude nor friendly...it sounds strange and it does feel odd since they are all there at the door. Most of them seem Spanish which is good consider it's a Tapas place. We usually get seated right away without a reservation, busy or not. Then you are served immediately with some olives. The service is very prompt and efficient. each dish range around £6-£15.. it is suggested on the menu that each person orders around 3 dishes. all the dishes are quiet good to me. The paella tastes better than the ones I had in Barcelona. the dishes are brought to you in a good speed as well. I am always satisfied and full when I leave. I would definitely go back more often if it was slightly more affordable. Usually our bill for two comes up to around £90.. ( including alcohol and tips)
