Pratt Street Power Plant is centrally located on The "Charm'tastic Mile" of Baltimore. The "Charm'tastic Mile" is the chic & stylish 1.3 mile corridor that connects Dwtn-West, the Inner Harbor & Harbor East in the heart of downtown Charm City. Barnes & Noble is gone but the majestic Iconic building is a marvelous structure that was built in 1900. If you come to Baltimore make sure you get a couple of nice photos. read more

Pretty cool building. The Barnes and Nobles in the center is huge and it was fun to browse both floors and look at the interior architecture. Lots of restaurants and bars up and down the building. We were there during early evening so it was still kinda family friendly with lots of people eating outside. There was music playing outside the different restaurants and bars and we saw bands setting up for the night. Looks like a nice spot for drinks and bar hopping or just hanging out at night. read more

I might be one of the very few people that actually liked Power Plant. Maybe it is because they have three of my favorite places there, maybe it is because you can drink outside of the bars and I can imagine it being amazing in the summer, or maybe it is convenience of having a group on bars in this little area, the ocean just ahead of it, a street strip of titty bars right behind it, and plenty of parking garages right next to it. I don't know. I found a few great things about this place..... They had Howl at the moon there, Angels rock bar and a leinenkugel beer garden. Here is how it worked the night I was there.... Once you decide on where to park, you get to power plant. You go in and you pay a cover to get into the little area. That night, cover was $10. So you pay $10 each and then they give you an entrance coupon or ticket. Every bar inside of powerplant, also has a cover of $10 or so. Your entrance into powerplant gets you a free entrance into one bar. So power plant is the outside area in between all the bars. Then you get ot pick one bar to go into for free. Leinie's beer garden was free though. So you really get two bars free if you look at it that way. It was cold that night so not much was going on outside. We decided to head straight for howl at the moon and we ended up staying there all night. I just like the concept of power plant but I can see how people are easily turned off by the multiple covers if you decide to do more than leini's and another. Oh yeah and they take credit cards to get in too. I was happy to see that. read more

The Power Plant (named for the old Power Plant building which is where it resides) is a com[plex of mall-stores, eateries and a HUGE ESPN ZONE that my little brother used to manage way back when. They used to have alot of night life here in the '90's - not sure about it nowadays. read more

They had a wonderful light show that I watched at 7:00 pm. I thought that it would be longer but, it was only 7 minutes ending in fireworks. Not too crowded. I enjoyed it though. read more

Typical touristy, run-of-the-mill mall smack dab in the middle of Baltimore (this joint actually was a former power plant. What an inventive name.) with a bunch of chain restaurants and a huge-ass Barnes & Noble inside. As a red-blooded young man though whose life is slightly enhanced somewhat by the presence of American professional sports, the ESPN Zone within it redeems this mall from obscurity, and so does the money view of the Inner Harbor from it. read more

Always having a good time when at Power Plant! Every time I went there I enjoyed a comfortable atmosphere, nice people and good music.

Overall, the power plant has a little bit of everything within a small radius, so it's worth visiting at least once. Some bars were better than others. Most were a little pricy. Went on a Friday night on a whim, so it was a little crowded, depending on which bar you actually went to. read more

Powerplant is a great place to go to enjoy downtown Baltimore. I have gone with my wife for a nice evening to eat a meal and then walk around closer to the Harbor or to enjoy the night life with friends at all of the bars. Had a great experience at Mex and all of the other bars with really nice customer service from the bartenders and other staff. Always like visiting Powerplant ! read more

Once you get pass the rude, unprofessional hostess and door people it is ok. I was with a group of business owners from the Philadelphia area scheduled for a VIP bar crawl that was scheduled since August. When the group arrived they were told that our name was not on the list and we were treated like common criminals. We asked to speak with the manager to try to resolve this issue. It took about an hour for a "manager" to arrive to help resolve the matter. One of the other door people at that time explained our group was on the list and to let us in. The manager just dismissed us and left us waiting for results. After going back and forth our group of 45 business owners decided that we came all the way from Philadelphia so we might as well try to make the best of a bad time. We were then made to go to the end of the line spending another 15 minutes of time wasted. This took away from the fun that seem to be happening in the many bars and restaurants that we were limited to due to the issues that we faced. So if the Power Plant treats a group of 45 business people that understand the importance of customer service and profit like this, then you don't stand a chance if you are by yourself or with a couple of friends. read more
