The shared bathroom was spotless and nicely outfitted with extra soaps, etc. Breakfast (served at 7:30) was outstanding: pancakes with a blackberry-pecan sauce; baked pineapple; bacon; Greek yoghurt with nuts, seeds and granola; coffee/tea and juice. They had soy milk for coffee & were well-prepared for dairy-free guests, which was a nice bonus. I definitely recommend staying here if you are passing through Saskatoon.

We had a fair amount of time here, but the station is located within a CN rail yard and a long walk from anything interesting in town. So much for checking out the fastest growing City in Canada or wandering the leafy campus of the University of Saskatchewan! The Train crew also kept us on a tight leash on where we could go. We could walk along the train platform from the back of the train to a post several feet from the petrol truck filling the engine. Walking on the in between dirt or walking over a set of rails? No, although the later made a lot of safety sense and the former was ridiculous. Thanks to my "Bad Boy" persona, I took Gayle through the station and to its front to walk towards the front CN gate unsupervised. At the same time, we were happy to get outside. A 4-day train journey is great, but cabin fever can set in. Plus when they weren't serving as our hall monitors, the VIA staff continued their pleasant personalities, as part of their great overall train service.

It also has conference room space, making it ideal for events or business stays. On-site amenities were a big plus; having a Tim Hortons right there is always convenient, and the restaurant offers gluten-free options, which I really appreciated. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-kept, and the overall atmosphere of the resort felt modern and welcoming. The only downside was that the walls are quite thin; you can hear a fair bit from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which took away a bit from the overall comfort. That said, it's still a great, convenient place to stay with lots of amenities in one spot. I'd definitely consider staying again, especially for the ease and accessibility it offers.

People were incredibly friendly and opened our doors at even chance. We used the gym (not the greatest but will do in a pinch), the bar (service was excellent), and their free breakfast (a chef is there to create your dish).

The room had complementary bottled water, WIFI (it was speedy) and parking. There was a Keurig in-room brewer with coffee, hot chocolate and tea, and an in-room safe in the closet. There is a mini-fridge stocked with pop and alcohol and treats (cookies, nuts, etc.) ... you pay for what you use. There is a bar in the lobby and you can order food. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. There was also a complimentary full hot breakfast ($18 if you are a non-guest) with waffles, eggs, sausages, potatoes, ham, muffins, croissants, etc. There was also a chef who will make you an omelette. I stopped in there on Wednesday and had ready-made scrambled eggs, turkey ham and fresh fruit.

Everything was so clean and well taken care of. - Plenty of parking close to the airport and don't hear the planes at all. -will definitely be returning. Rooms very roomy and clean with kitchenette and all the dishes and utilities you need to cook, with a good size fridge and freezer. They do have blinds for the windows, just not really blackout. We rigged a hanger with clips to hold the curtains closed. The bed was very comfortable with comfortable pillows. Put my head down and didn't wake up until 6 am! Best sleep ever for a hotel. Also provides transport service to and from the airport.

We really felt like staying at this B&B was much better than one of the expensive area hotels. It was like coming home every day after a long day at work. Garry took great care in preparing the breakfast which was served early in the morning. You can order as much as you want by filling a card the evening before. I had the pleasure to be at the B&B with other nice guests so I had pleasurable morning conversation before I headed to work. I could have been utterly miserable bivouacked in the place but I felt totally at home. My room was just the right size and the bathroom had lots of little amenities and toiletries that made me feel as if I was staying with my relatives. The rate here is very reasonable and Garry and his wife were so accomodating even sharing their cards when I needed to post mail. This place almost makes me want to visit Saskatoon again. Almost.

My room is across from the "Associates room" (maid's supply room) so from 8am onwards the door was constantly being opened and closed very loudly ... very annoying if you are trying to sleep in or work. It seemed like it was very 20 seconds!! WIFI is free. There is a safe in the closet. Parking is $15 whether you park your car yourself or have it valet parked. Considering how cold it was, there was no incentive NOT to have it valet parked (my rental car was parked in the garage rather than outside ... which means I could get it in five minutes rather than 15 minutes because they didn't have to warm it up as long). There was a fridge in the room but it was locked since it was stocked with water, juice, liquor, etc. (I didn't bother getting a key). There is no microwave oven but the girl in the convenience store popped some popcorn that I'd brought for me (thanx!). The fella who checked me in was very friendly and chatty. There are a couple restaurants in the hotel ... a steakhouse and a more casual one called Windows. I had breakfast at Windows this morning. I ordered two fried eggs, home fries, toast and Canadian bacon ($14) and a glass of milk. Everything was cold and I didn't have time to have them fire up another breakfast. There is buffet for $15 ... that must have been where my breakfast came from. Hungry and not happy :( I was happy with this hotel and would have stayed here again ... until the the noise of the Associates room started and my breakfast was cold. If I'm back in Saskatoon, I'll stay elsewhere.

The rooms were clean, organized, and well kept. I love the breakfast club on the 8th floor, a wonderful view to start the day. The lovely lady serving breakfast is extremely sweet and kept us full and happy. She's very welcoming and brought me soy milk when I told her I can't drink dairy. The water slide is definately a must! Just don't try to compete with teenagers, their bones aren't as brittle as some adults. I think I fractured my ribs when they doubled dare me to go with them. I can't cough or sneeze without crying like a baby. I met a couple of wonderful people at this hotel and hope that I'll meet them again. I wished I dined at the restaurants on the ground floor but our time was limited. I'll definately return!

Might be an operation to steal guesses valuables. They were suppose to check the entry-read on the room to check who access it but didn't. Lock your luggages. I wouldn't trust the lockbox either. As a note I didn't take any of their offers of free drinks, breakfast or Bonvoy Points. It's a matter of principle of what was taken from us. Someone is taking advantage of guests here for sure. Beware Update: So the GM Tyler Nogier decided to contact me about the incident and basically called me a liar about my claims. For a leader employee in a hospitality industry, he was not at all professional. Raising his voice to say what I'm saying is false. Then accuse me of being combative when he himself started to raise his voice first. I had to remind him of his position in the hospitality industry. And when I told him I would escalate it higher to corporate, he said he would escalate it too. Not even sure what that means. This is a pure form intimidation and retaliation that I was worried about and have told Marriott Corporate. And as to why I refrain to call the police when I was staying there. This Marriott employee has a fragile ego. And it shows what type of culture this location has under this leadership. This is the same attitude and treatment I got from some of the staff during my stay as well. I hope enough guests see this as they have shown me their true colors and people should know what to expect. Again beware

But it looked packed and a couple plates looked very tasty! Now the rooms are nice, clean, with lots of space and a nice desk and couch. However the TV is hung rather stupid... why doesnt it face the bed?? Also the bathroom is very nice but has no tub. Which I hate! The bed however is comfy. Thats pretty much my main concern. The rooms are not cheap $$$ wise BUT I am pretty sure if I make a return trip I would stay here.
