Course went down hill quick. Greens are full of holes and crabgrass. Fairways are bare and in a lot of spots, just dirt. Used to be worth the drive out of DC, but won't go back until at least next year. I don't know if they got a new superintendent but they need to reevaluate the course condition and where to put funding. read more

Played on 2/19/23 at 9:12am with 2 buddies and a single. 2nd time playing here ever (first time since renovations) and general course layout is challenging. Many holes have danger on both sides so tee shots must be controlled. Only issues were overall wetness (due to rain previous days) and couple fairways had deep trenches dug out (possibly to address drainage?) but never affected any of my shots. Greens could've also been a bit faster. Besides my putter letting me down, played well, and hope to return when it gets warmer. They allowed me to walk using my push cart and was charged $63 for the round and $7 for medium bucket or range balls. read more

THIS is a charmer. Forgiving off the tee, great condition and a real testament to a great piece of land. Rolling hills, great views and a really traditional design ... and no bunkers. Although 'sand is my friend' it does make for faster play. Many tees to choose from, big-ish greens. They roll niiiice! Fun practice area with a range and targets a as well as a putting green ... with some flat areas to groove that stroke. County residents get a bargain and you can walk (be a wee bit fit tho'). Staff is very nice and knowledgeable ... tip #1 ... Get a tee time online before arriving. Tip # 2 park at the bottom part of the parking lot , behind the 18 th green. read more

After the renovations, Eisenhower was is perfect condition and a joy to play. The course is currently in terrible shape. The tee boxes are torn up and there are huge patches of a number of fairways that are either dirt or diseased "grass." I get the feeling that they are working on it, but it's not like a private course. The country will only invest so much money. I'm going to avoid playing there this year (2023) and hope things are better in 2024. read more

Played here on 3/29/23 at twilight. Course was in decent condition for this time of year and loved the layout. I found the course to be both challenging and fun. The staff was very friendly and helpful, from those in the club house to the Marshalls patrolling the course. It was my first time playing here and I felt very welcome. Worst course I've ever played. The "fairways" are nothing but dirt. Greens are so hard it's tough to stick a ball on them. Rangers are rude and ignorant. Practice green was closed due to some fungus. Had been closed for weeks but this wasn't conveyed when making the tee time. Greens were in horrible shape. Fairways were very nice. Not worth the non-resident $65 greens fee at this time... maybe if the greens improve. read more

Enjoyable course to play. The course has a decent length to it and it has some challenging holes. Course conditions aren't too bad right now so the maintenance team is doing a lot of hard work. The Pro-shop is a good size and the staff is very friendly! The staff makes you feel like you're part of the team and all friends. The major issue with the course is the pace of play. It's unplayable on the weekends. There have been a few times in which we had to wait for two groups in front of us to tee off before we could. They do not have Marshall's running around speeding up play so it gets frustrating on the weekends. If you play during the week you're absolutely fine! My final recommendation is that they renovate their driving range mats. They are pretty old and could use updating. Overall if you're looking for a fun and challenging course to play, Eisenhower is a great choice. read more

Older course without much fanfare. For $54- you will get... Cruddy mats on range/ decent practice putting green/ crabgrass tee boxes , if there is grass at all. Some of the holes are memorable, but the cart paths shake out any fluids not left in your tear ducts after you realize you could have played elsewhere with your valuable time. read more

This may become our local course. The hubs and I played this course on Sunday and loved it. Value for money, this place is perfect. Greens and fairways were in great condition. We love playing courses without any development (read: houses). There was a good number of holes with water (more often creek hazards than lake/river carrys). Not a ton of bunkers, but enough that I got my sand wedge out twice. The greens were a challenge, but fun. Even with the definite advantage given to the ladies at the reds, I still played one of my worst rounds ever. The hubs liked it because he's a big hitter and took advantage of the fairly open par 4s and 5s. Only complaint, the hot dogs sucked. And it definitely backs up when the weather is nice, so be prepared to wait around a little (no rangers). Other than that, $45 for a round was a great price, and I'm sure we'll be back here often. This was my favorite course I played in this area. Great course. Awesome layout. Kept in really good condition. I have to be honest, after seeing these Yelp reviews, I was cautious to go here, but it was recommended by a friend. It did not disappoint. I was only able to play nine holes (it was February and I went after work) but I got enough of the course to know I'll be back to play the full 18. It was a very easy course to walk. The layout makes the round both challenging and fun. It was kept in very good condition, especially for it being the winter months. The greens rolled really nicely and were very receptive and soft. I will revisit this course in the spring/summer months to play 18, and I'm looking forward to the summer conditions. read more

The new Eisenhower course is spectacular. It's a great course and the surroundings are gorgeous. It definitely feels like a private club rather than a public course. It is unique in the fact that it doesn't have bunkers, but surrounding the greens are plenty of hazards and undulations. It has 5 sets of tees so anyone can find an appropriate tee to play from. The large practice green and range also added to the experience. It's a gem of a course and I'm looking forward to playing it for years. read more

Horrible! Eisenhower is the worst golf course ever, even when stacked up against seriously ghetto public courses in south Atlanta. (Tup Holmes and Browns Mill are close runners up, frequented in the no money recent college graduate days.) Dirt tee boxes, swampy fairways literally without grass, and regularly putting around tufts of crab grass growing on the green await you at this dogtrack. Golfed nine holes late yesterday afternoon (left course at 7:00pm) and forgot that I left my brand new voice caddy GPS attached to the scorecard on the wheel of the cart. I called the course at 7:30 am today and they were too busy to check the cart or lost and found because of a tournament. I called back at 10:30, nope...still too busy. It's 12:30 and they just called to say no one turned it in. I know it's my fault for leaving it, but the response and assistance I got when I called was less than desirable. Location, layout and the driving range are the only things that keep this course from getting 1 star. The fact that it is still $50 to play is outrageous. I have played this course 7-10 times now and each time I go in expecting better and leave feeling like I made the same mistake again. The grass in the fairway is terrible, thinned out and muddy most of the time. Good lies are very hard to find, even smack in the middle of the fairways. Some holes the fairways are swampy - there's no other word to describe them. The greens are terrible also. It's easy to get too, usually isn't backed up too bad and the hole layouts are somewhat pleasant. I wish I could come up with some more positive stuff to say about the course, we need more golf courses in this price range in the area, but Eisenhower is pretty bad. read more

Conditions are good from May to mid-June. Then things go way downhill. Some of the pro shop employees and starters are unfriendly (govt pensioners?). They have a weird unspoken system where they let 4-8 guys go out first on weekend mornings, regardless of whether somebody else has made a reservation for the first tee time. So if you're trying to get out very early and be first, it isn't going to happen. The pro shop employees and starter calls this the "employee starting time". Name a well regarded golf course or private club that lets their employees have the best starting time of the weekend. read more

8/29/13 Decided to play 9 at 5pm. First, the driving range is under redesign, with one long 50 foot wide mat, you use your own tees pressed into the surface or just hit off the surface. Not all the work was done but it is immensely better and even hitting off of a mat on top of cement will eventual mess up your club angles. So the softer hitting surface is appreciated. Nice work on this project and continue with the improvement. Finished walking nine in well under 2 hrs, so that was sweeettt! That doesn't say anything was fixed since the course was not busy, but I am willing to continue to visit the club M-F under circumstances like this. It is a nice layout, as mentioned, it will challenge you but I stayed out of all the traps and all of the swamps. I really had fun. read more

I really enjoyed Eisenhower, they have a great mix of a elevation and style of holes. There are a lot of wooded areas of this course, that make accuracy a key part to score low, but each hole has a unique feel. Eisenhower is OK. The rough around the greens is very patchy, and the swampy rough to the right before the green on #10 is a pain. Still the course is challenging especially on #2, #4, #11, and #12. My real problem with this course are the wasps and bees. This is the second summer in a row where I have been stung badly by yellow jackets burrowing in the tee boxes. This year it is not just yellow jackets but Cicada-killer wasps. They are the big yellow and black sucker that are about 4" long. On the par 5 #7 they are all over the left side rough along the fairway. On #15 and #16 they are burrowed in the tee boxes. The yellow jackets have made a home in almost every bunker on the course. While the Cicada-killer wasps are not highly aggressive, yellow jackets are. I know bees can be a problem on any golf course, but Eisenhower has a real problem. I watched a golfer I was teamed up with have to run to his bag to get out his epi pin and give himself a shot after being stung repeatedly by yellow jackets in the bunker. read more

The golf was okay but I'm very upset with the condition of the ladies locker room. Went in to rinse a coffee stain from a white golf shirt and came out with so many rust stains from the tap in the sink. Shirt is ruined of course. Dark, outdated facilities for sure. read more

Booked an early tee time for Monday morning. Showed up and they were obviously getting ready for a big group event. As I was playing by myself, they were going to pair me up with a twosome, but the group complained and wanted to play by themselves, so the starter had me go by myself, which I am fine with. However, because I was playing by myself and fast, while the grounds crew were trying to finish up morning mowing and preparing for the group event, I was made to feel like an inconvenience. On the 3rd tee box, the superintendent was bitching at me because I wasn't in a foursome and playing slower. I get where he was coming from, but not my fault, nor should I have been made to feel like it was. The grounds crew did have to stop at times while I approached greens, but they were definitely not trying to be out of my way and were visibly irritated. I left after the front 9, and I can guarantee I won't be back. I belong to a private country club and this is exactly why. Guess Monday's when my club is closed for play, I'll have to find another local spot. I will say the course was in decent shape for the most part, except the bunkers. Nothing but packed mud in most of them. Hopefully others don't have to deal with the same experience I did. read more

My buddies and I chose those course because we wanted to play a decent course for the right price. Well it cost $54, with a golfnow tee time, and the course was in terrible condition. There were rocks in every bunker which led to rocks being thrown on to the greens. The bunkers weren't even the same sand, every hole they were different. The greens, tee boxes, and fairways were not mowed. They were building a new clubhouse and it seems like all of the attention was put towards it and the course was left unattended. I would not recommend this course until the finish the new clubhouse and take care of the course itself. The layout of this course was decent and can be a little challenging if you can't keep the ball in play. The staff was friendly, and they have a drink cart on the course. read more

beautiful course, but not really playable. straight down the middle drives can result in awkward sidehill lies more often than not. even the tee boxes are uneven and poorly maintained. but the worst are the greens - shaggy and slow, the ball bounces more than it rolls. very, very difficult to judge speed. overall a frustrating experience. it's a shame because the course is beautiful - no houses or other buildings to spoil the views. read more

Tee boxes mostly dirt, greens had tons of crab grass. Moore goose poop on the course than nice grassy spots. We played the round in 4:33 and the rangers were sill riding us for the majority of the round. They said next time make it in 4:20! For $56 do not waste your money. read more

Our regular group of eight golfer never schedules to play at Eisenhower GC, even though the course is relatively close and a couple of weeks ago, I remembered why all over again.. My brother was in for a short time and I decided since EGC was only minutes away I would book a tee-time. Needed a credit card to book a tee-time of course, even though the card would not be used. The conditions of the overall GC, please note I said conditions, plural. There is not a level area on the putting green to practice and if you plan to use the driving range,anytime after 3:00PM when the Sun is shining please do not plan on seeing where the balls go anywhere....this is before you even get to the course....the tee boxes, fairways and greens are a crying shame....the cart paths, in many areas are close to dangerous. Do you really need a ball washer on this course, a cart person...didn't think so and neither does Billy Casper. The green fee that day was $57.00, per person, based on the conditions at the surrounding courses, Glen Dale, Bay Hills, Walden and Bowie....EGC has quite a bit of hutzpah charging more than $40.00. I believe our decision not to play EGC still holds true....this place really needs some TLC and that costs $$$$$...anywhere but here... read more
