I'm not even sure where to start with this review but their poor customer service is as good a place as any. I was unfortunate enough to have used this location several times for work related print jobs. We had posters, year end reports, presentations and promotional material printed over the course of two years. Each job started out the same way; our office admin would email them the details of the work needed along with the uploaded files for print and I would then have to answer numerous questions an hour later when they received the order and didn't understand it. On more than one occasion I had to walk to the shop and explain things in person because the person on the phone didn't understand what a catalogue was. Since they like adding insult to injury, only one job was delivered without needing to be reprinted or fixed in some way. Pages were missing in booklets but the insane thing was the different pages were missing from each book. How does a printer selectively miss different pages in 20 books? Colours were completely off, smudged or muddy. Hi-res photos came out looking like pixelated garbage. Mounted posters curled at the edges and there were no apologies given or attempts to fix the problems. We eventually stopped using them because it just wasn't worth the time wasted trying to get them to properly do their job. They were rude, unprofessional and condescending leaving me wondering how the hell they are still in business. I highly recommend going anywhere else. read more

Horrible customer service. Employees treat you awful the moment you walk in the door. The customer service I received from one employee was so bad you would think I was his boss and just fired him. There's a few good employees at this location which is how they earned a 2 star rating. Asking for advice and recommendations will get you dirty looks sometimes. I'd rather go somewhere else where the staff and employees genuinely care about you and your project. One where you're treated like a person, not someone who disrupted their day. read more

Okay, I'm sure the printing in this branch is fine, and the work that they do seems to be professional and good. I cannot speak for this, because I will not be printing my invitations here. I will give them the benefit of the doubt (and this disclaimer) , however, I want to rate my experience as a 2. I chose this location mainly upon recommendation of the Paper Place - but they could have meant the other TPH that's next door - and why there are two beside each other I don't understand. When I approached them via email and phone call, the design consultant was very patient with me when calculating the quote and all the different elements of things in my invitation. I was very confusing, but he some how put something together for me. I thought this was very nice. But when I went in on my first visit to do a test print, and told him that's what time we were coming in, he was surprised to see us, and didn't seem like he wanted to deal with us. He did what we asked, but seemed to want to rush us out. I felt like he was undermining me, and a bit condescending. But AT assured me it was all in my head since I was in a grumpy mood. I went back today and the same guy was a bit more relaxed but still treated me like I was an idiot. And yes, I came in with questions because I don't know anything and that's where I needed him to help me! I asked the question in many different ways, and he would just look at me like I'm wasting his time. I thought it was their job to help the client. I feel like already I'm coming in with more knowledge than the regular person - how do other people handle it! From what I see there, the work they do produce is very good, which is why I'm not rating them less than a 3. But for me, as I'm already stuck dealing with another vendor for my wedding that is being an Ahole, I don't need another one. Sorry guys, taking my business elsewhere. read more

I used this TPH branch for my wedding printing needs. I had my mind set on adding a Batman theme to my wedding, and TPH helped me do just that. They took the ideas I had (which I thought were impossible) and made them a reality for me. And all in a timely manner as well - because I like to procrastinate and did this very last minute. the branch had everything ready for me for the day I specified. I was beyond impressed. From my Batman theme take-out boxes for the candy bar I had, to the seating chart which was so detailed. They listened to everything I wanted and gave me all the Batman stuff I wanted while still keeping it subtle and classy. I loved it all, but my guests were blown away as well. I highly recommend this place for all of your wedding printing needs, even if you think what you have in mind is not possible (like me), they have a great creative team who will turn it all into a beautiful reality! read more

Tph in general offers a good product. Unfortunately, this location falls short regarding customer service. They were unable to provide me with timely service, and were rude and condescending on multiple occasions. Interestingly enough, I was able to get a quote, and the same job done at another tph location, while still waiting for this location to get back to me. I'm a local small business owner who has used TPH The Printing House twice; once for my day job, printing client deliverables and second, for a small print job for my business. Both jobs were submitted well in advance 5-7 hours. First job (Client files), I arrived and they were just finishing printing them. So waited 15 minutes. When the guy brought them out, they had printed them on the smallest paper possible so the font was not legible. I had asked to print them on tabloid sized paper but they went ahead and printed everything on letter. EVERYTHING had to be reprinted. It was 30 minutes prior to close and they did it but I had to wait an HOUR. In total, I wasted over an hour and a half. No discount. Total waste of my time. Good quality print work but not worth it. Expensive for what it was. Second job ( my business), I ordered day of (morning) and asked for it be ready at 5pm. Guy called me and asked if I needed it for 5pm. Said yes. Gave them a little wiggle room based on previous experience and arrived around 530pm. Guy at 858 king asked me for payment, and said the files were not printed yet but should be done in 5 minutes and that I should walk over to the 840 King location. Go over, and guy says, he'll grab them, then comes back and says it will be 20-25 minutes. Prints them in about 15 minutes but excuse was that they were busy. I'm sorry but if you need files for 5pm, having them printed by 6pm and keeping a customer waiting is just unacceptable. Again, was not offered a discount nor compensation. Didn't even give me a bag for my printing. I do not recommend. I'm a small business owner too and understand workflow but I always work my hardest to not negatively impact the customer experience and IF I do, I will compensate a customer. I've used Kinkos-Fedex at Dundas/University a number of times. It's a bit farther but cheaper and WAY more reliable. Will not return. read more

I've been to many print shops in my days, but the TPH at King & Niagara is one of the best in the city. Here's the back story: I needed wedding invitations printed, so I sent them an email with the details. They asked for some PDFs; minutes after sending it I had a reply with a quote in my email. The best part is that I screwed up one of my files and they caught the mistake prior to printing the whole job. Most shops just print away and if it's wrong, "Too bad!". In the end, they certainly aren't the cheapest print shop in the city, but the service more than made up for it. read more

Wish I've read some reviews before I went there! Super awful customer service. First I called them, explained what I want, they told me to send the files. So I sent .psd files for 2 business cards, waited 2 hours with no answer and went there, as I need them done this week. When I entered and told them I both called and emailed and didn't get any answer, they told me... NOTHING. I felt that there is no one there, talking to me. Then the guy looked into his emails and started talking to some other guy, if he got the order. The other guy did not move his butt, he was sitting pretty far away, behind big counter and 2 desks. And I didn't know if he is even talking to me... I asked if they have any catalogue, different finishings, so I could choose what I wanted, and the guy sitting far away said that there is something there... Where? First guy, behind the counter, woke up and showed me catalogue with different papers, but no samples with business cards, glossy, matte, and all those additions. Null, zero, and also - zero talking. Jeeeez... Then the "far away guy" started saying that files are corrupted. I checked on my phone (and PC and MAC at home earlier...), all was fine. He told me no, they are not, and he was suuuper slow and quiet and I figured maybe I should go and have a look on his computer. He told me: yes, have a look, still sitting there and not "inviting" me there, making me feel really weird. It was not easy to squeeze in between counter and other furniture to go to him, and when I did, he was silently sitting. I didn't know - should I look on his screen (he could have other clients things there, open?!), it was super weird. Then he showed me - and yes, the files was not reading properly. Dont know why, I asked him what should I send him. Again silence, and he started typing... And then he told me that he sent me the quote over email. What? So I came there, to talk, evaluate different papers etc. and I am a ghost, I guess... I opened the email, saw pretty high price for standard business cards, so I just left. Cuz nobody was talking to me, still... I felt like I am disturbing them all in their winter sleep... So, yes, complete waste of time. read more

A couple of really helpful guys here. They've squeezed me in for rush Jonas bunch of times. Called today, guy that answers the phone seems condescending from the jump. I try to explain that I'm there all the time and trying to give advance notice. He gets all snide and short with me. When I say "if it's a problem I can call somebody else", he responds with "no problem" and hangs up. I guess I'll wait the extra day to get my stuff and call somebody that appreciates the business. read more

I had a design snafu with regard to having my wedding invitations done and had to take over the design and printing of my invitations myself which caused me immense stress and we were a month behind schedule getting them out. The Printing House was able to eliminate my stress. They were fast, friendly and professional and the invitations look amazing! I would have given them 5 stars if they had more interesting paper to choose from, but, honestly they absolutely made my day. read more
