The food was delicious and the staff were wonderfully efficient, accommodating, and professional. Before the event, we sampled the food at Cooper's Landing. From the very first bite, we were certain that they were the caterers for us. Working with Nichol was a pleasure and every step of the way, she guided us to the perfect menu. Their selections of appetizers and main dishes were vast including standard and elevated fare. We especially loved the fact that the appetizers could be ordered by quantity instead of per person. This allowed us to select a smaller quantity of certain appetizers that might not suit every palate and larger quantities of appetizers that would have a broader appeal. (We chose to prepare Family Style Desserts ourselves.) During and after the event we received rave reviews about all the food! The Signature Creamy Crab Dip was a huge hit as was the Baked Brie topped with Raspberry Compote. The North Carolina Pulled Pork Barbecue Sliders with 3 homemade toppings were huge and delicious. The Mini Shrimp & Grits were elegant and yummy. Friends in attendance who owned a very successful "up market" restaurant said that the beef medallions were cooked to perfection. At the end of this very long day, the catering staff left us with a clean kitchen at the venue and leftovers from the evening safely packaged and stored in the fridge for us to enjoy! This is the Atlanta Braves Rookie ball club so it's a small ballpark, but has had a number of…read morerecent improvements (see list in photos). They play a short season of about ten weeks. The stadium, called American Legion Field, seats 2,588, so it's cozy and parking is free. It's nestled in Dan Daniel Memorial Park, which has walking and nature trails, picnic shelters, mountain bike/hiking trails, a Riverwalk trail, soccer/football fields, little league baseball fields, playground, and a skate park. The reserved section is quite comfortable since adding stadium seats and is covered by a roof. They also offer waitress service in this area which is sections A, B & C. The ceiling fans really help when it's warm. The bleacher area is general admission and are not covered. There is protective netting end to end from first base to third just past where each teams dugout ends. Concessions in the stadium have the basics at very reasonable prices like burgers, hot dogs and fries as well as many sides, snacks, drinks and frozen items. I particularly appreciate no extra charge for cheese or chili on the all beef hot dogs, which are Kunzler brand from Lancaster, PA. There's also barbecue, chicken tenders, bologna burgers, corn dogs and chicken sandwiches. The best bargain is the popcorn that's served piping hot in a very large paper bag which keeps it warm and will feed a family of four. The crowd is friendly and has a small town family feel about it. The Rookie league doesn't have the glitz and glamour of the higher level farm teams which seems to keep fans more engaged with the actual game itself. There are a few on field fan contests between innings with a prize for the winner and was just enough to keep people entertained. There's also bingo throughout the game and cards are just 50 cents or free in the $2.00 program that comes with the current game's roster. Their mascot, named Blooper, might have been struggling with the heat the night we were there as it was pretty lackluster, but the kids still seemed to enjoy him. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. All in all, I really enjoyed the entire experience and would love to come back again!

We got told to go to a million different places on the property and then we we were finally on track to find our room the owner of Berry Hill came up to us and told us the room we had booked was no longer available. She said that "an employee who no longer worked there" booked us in a room that isn't available for the weekend of the festival. She was incredibly condescending and was acting as if we did something wrong. They ended up putting us in a room that was much worse and smaller that the suite that we had booked. There was no apology for the mix up-- only the owner being rude and unkind towards us. You would think that she would want to make a good impression since this biggest weekend of the entire year for this resort. Besides our terrible check in experience, the hotel was nice. There were scratches on the floor but we had a nice balcony and big windows. We did find an ant in the bed though.
