Was disappointed that the range limited our tournament to mats (yuck!) for warming up. Also, the back nine was great, but was woefully disappointed by the front. Bit of an old school tree lines course with lots of holes very close together. Not necessarily a bad thing, just didn't suit my eye. Staff was incredibly accommodating and facilities were great.

The games also don't really have good tutorials when you start them, so it took some time to figure how to properly play most of them. It's about $50 per person for an hour of game time, which seems a bit excessive for what you get. It's a cool experience to try once but not sure I'd do it again for the same price.

Let's go! I was sad when the Columbia location closed down, but Gaithersburg is still rocking and I think this arena is far more interesting than the Columbia one. The arena is the right level of dark with fog machines running too. There are several platforms with various access ramps. My favorite details is that a few platforms have a grate where players can shoot down at others below (watch out, they can shoot up at you too!). There are always rapid fire and mega power Gems for upgrades and a third that rotates by game (invisibility, invulnerability, dark thief), so definitely sign up for 3 games if you can to experience the full rotation. The prices are reasonable, especially in today's economy. There is a water cooler to refresh yourself between games, because you will work up a sweat between the crouching and quick moving around while wearing a phaser pack. It's our favorite workout, to be honest. There is an arcade with a variety of games, including prize games, driving games, and shooting games. The main area also has concessions to snack on. Overall, if you want some workout and fun, check out Shadowland.

I've been to Cuba and the scene was absolutely incredible with great acoustics and of course perfection on the timbales that could only come from the late Tito Puente's (17 time Grammy Award winner) son. This was not just a concert, this was a centennial celebration of the 100th year of Tito Puente's world renown influence. If feels good to listen to great music and even better to pay homage to those that paved the way before us. Oye cómo va, mi ritmo..." (Listen how it goes, my rhythm) Treat yourself!

I took my 7 year old son to see the play "A Christmas Carol." We thoroughly enjoyed the show. It was geared to third through fifth graders and was just the right length. Very affordable as well...our tickets were $8.00 each. I loved the theater itself. It sort of had an old fashioned feel but had been updated where needed. There didn't seem to be a bad seat in the whole place and we were able to sit in the second row which was really fun. The seats were comfortable and positioned so they weren't one right behind another but staggered so that you could see through the heads of the people in front of you. The building was very easily accessible and had plenty of parking. I will definitely keep an eye on upcoming shows of interest to us and look forward to coming back again soon.
