We had more than one phone conversation with them (prior to driving an hour and a half each way for this appointment) in which they stated that they had a large selection of plus size samples. In reality, they had one rack in the back of the store. This store is supposedly the only store in PA (maybe just western PA) to carry the Allure Disney Fairy Tale collection. If that's true that's very sad bc they had a small rack of them, most older, a few new and even fewer in plus size. Actually I don't know if they had any, bc the only ones my daughter liked they didn't have. If you're going to brag and be half snarky on the phone that you're the "only store in PA" to carry that line, then you should have an extensive selection of that line in all sizes. Don't waste your time looking at their "available dresses" on the website bc they didn't have some of them and told us that they don't have time to keep up with that. Ok? Then don't list any. The only positive experience was that our consultant Sue was very nice. She went out of her way to help my daughter and was very knowledgeable. The poor selection and just meh gowns is not her fault. Even tho she had never been told any information about my daughter prior to her appointment, which should ALWAYS be done. Why bother asking questions if you're not going to pass them along to the consultant? If you're are an average size bride that is on the lower end of the budget range (which is perfectly fine!) and you aren't picky at all, then this place might be ok. If you want something different or at all out of the ordinary same old same old, skip this place.

I found my dress at URB bridal and the shopping was great but the alterations were atrocious…read more During alterations, I worked with multiple different people who obviously don't communicate well, because they had terrible carryover and very little progress between visits. Nearly all the work was pushed to the final fitting -- which was almost 7 HOURS. I didn't get to take my dress home until 6 weeks before my wedding, even though I'd purchased it in May 2024 for an October 2025 wedding. The quality of the work was equally disappointing: uneven seams, horrendous sleeves that looked nothing like the original design we had agreed on, an unhemmed layer of my dress that was completely missed until my guest caught it (they literally took scissors to the bottom of my dress and called it a hem), and a hidden corset sewn in a way that left bulky, visible seams. When I brought this to their attention, they blamed it all on me and said it was because my "continued weight loss" that made alterations difficult, or that I kept changing my mind about how I wanted the sleeves to be. But my weight did not fluctuate throughout the alterations experience at all (I kept track and was careful of this). And I changed my mind about 2 things very early - a regular corset back to a hidden corset (shortly after purchase) and the material of the sleeves (during the second appointment before anything had been done or made). Otherwise I didn't even ask for any other special customizations - I just needed the dress to fit me. It was clear they are just inexperienced and/or not skilled seamstresses. The environment itself also felt unprofessional: no 360° mirrors to see the back of the dress, dirty floors that left debris stuck in my gown (they blamed this on the type of fabric of my dress saying it "picks up everything" instead of simply keeping the floor clean), and loud noise from children in the next room throughout my fittings. When I raised these concerns and asked for a partial refund, their reply was dismissive and unprofessional, shifting blame onto me instead of taking accountability. In their reply they said that I "nitpicked every last detail" when I pointed out something out that was poorly done - but this is also my WEDDING DRESS. Alterations were overpriced, inconsistent, and poorly executed. In the end, I had to take my gown to another seamstress just weeks before my wedding to fix their mistakes. I didn't get my gown back until 1 week before my wedding. It was a nightmare. These women are initially nice during your shopping experience, but don't be fooled. They are rude, unprofessional amateurs. Please take your dress elsewhere for alterations. See photos for their poor work.

They knew exactly what I wanted and had dresses pulled before I arrived. Sara was the stylist I was paired with, and she was fantastic! As I tried on more dresses, she continued to pull different styles that matched exactly what I was liking. She helped me stick on budget and make me feel like a bride. Most recently my close friend got her dress for her daughters wedding under 3 weeks before the wedding already needing alterations as the dress was coming in a little big for her as she is petite. The dress was ordered in February was supposed arrive in May got here in July. When her dress finally arrived after MONTHS of anxiously waiting it came in a size 8. They apologized and offered to do the alternations however we have already heard of a list of problems coming from alterations worst being burn marks to an overseas gown. Thankfully she got alterations else where she was not offered any money off the dress and was told she already saved $100 because the store spent it to get her size (that she didn't even receive). She looked beautiful in the dress after alterations but after the experience it was hard to love her dress she spent a good fortune on. Moral of the story order your dress a year in advance or maybe look else where I hope that the store owner can learn from these experiences and do better.
