Both The Red Zone and The Pumphouse are a must visit in Longmont, CO. For the second year in a row, we visited the area for two weeks and once again, we stopped by these two eating & drinking establishments several times to enjoy the entire experience. First, a big shout out to Z; Matt and McKenzie - the entire staff is always great, but we tend to hang at the bar(s) and the bartenders really make us feel at home. Came here two nights in a row because it has a diverse menu and really good beer! The brewery pub is fairly large and has two sections. They allow you to seat yourself. Service is fast and friendly! They also have a huge paid parking lot right across from the restaurant. The first night I got the meat lovers pizza, and that was delish! They have a wood fired pizza oven and the thin crust is perfection! The second night I got the 8 oz steak with fries. For a non-steakhouse, I was pleasantly surprised how tasty it was. The butter and seasoning on the steak is flavorful and it was cooked medium rare as I had requested. For beer, I chose a pint of the Scotch Ale both nights, and it was super smooth! This place was amazing. I got the Orange Lane chicken sandwich with onion rings and a root beer. The bread is a made fresh daily beer bread that is topped with Parmesan and rosemary. It's like a focaccia bread but better. It is so soft and fresh. I cousin eat it just on its own. The chicken was super tender and well seasoned. The house made root beer was also fantastic. So many great options. I will have to come try more when I visit town again in the future. read more

Came here last night with my girlfriend. I ordered a dozen oysters, white wine mussels, chicken wings, baked mac and cheese, margarita pizza and a bottle of wine. The oysters were fresh, the white wine sauce with the mussels was very flavorful and pleasant. Chicken wings were good, baked mac and cheese had a terrific homemade cheese sauce that was unique and exceptional. What really made me give a 5/5 was the Italian imported Forno pizza oven. Any place that invests in a proper wood fire oven to make pizza always has top tier pizza. The servers were accommodating and nice as well. They have a membership program where you get your own beer mug with your name on it hung at the bar- I thought that was really cool. read more

We came for a celebration 3 adults and my son, spent about $250 not including tax and tip. First time being here. Casual, loud, busy, big screen TVs. Food was average, nothing amazing. We ordered our steaks medium and it was boarder line almost cooked well. It's was dry, tough and poor cut of steak. Wings for apps, no wet wipes, no dip for veggies. No side plate for my son, to share apps. It was busy on a Friday, but service was minimal, server asked us how was our meal once and I tried to tell him about our steaks and he was already gone. Other then that never checked in, ooh except for asking if we wanted to top up our beers. We don't go out much but when we do and they want us to tip well, at least try the bare minimum and above if they want more then 15% tips. I want to feel appreciated and welcomed when we go out to eat, and not like made to feel we are being bothering them. read more

We got the veggie sampler. Garlic bread with hummus and fried zucchini-sticks. Bruschetta too. It was ok. My husband ordered 6 oysters. Small but ok. Missed the fresh horseradish. I went with the "talk of the town" burger. This massive burger, not . Smothered in mushrooms, not. I found 2. Cooked to well done. I love it rare. The Kraft cheese Wasn't even melted, and the dish was warm at best. Had cold pulled pork on top. Very surprised how dried out this was. Picked a pump side salad to go with this. My boyfriend and I shared the mussels which were good. It came with beer bread which was yummy. I got the chicken quesadilla and sweet potato fries. It came with salsa and sour cream. It was good but they barely put much in the quesadilla but I wanted something light anyway so I didn't care too much but if you're hungry I don't recommend it. There are a lot of real positives at this place. It's got a great boisterous atmosphere, fair pricing, good for friends and parties. The service is prompt and friendly. During my last visit, the food was a detractor. It's not bad and they offer good portions. Also, they listened when I asked for no cheese.. I had the Shroom burger with Greek salad on the side, no fries. They even thought to put the feta on the side for me because we didn't discuss it during the order. Maybe it was because it was take out, but the bottom bun was soaked from the salad and the salad itself was way overdressed. The dressing was so tart and strong that it was hard to eat. I had supper tonight at the Pump House. The Pump House Brewery was opened as a brewpub in downtown Moncton in 1999 by Shaun Fraser and his wife, Lilia. They debuted in style on New Year's Eve with the first new beer of the Millennium. The brewpub grew so popular that expansion was necessary. In July 2002, a brewing/bottling plant was built outside the city centre and production began in the same year. The Pump House made a huge splash during its first appearance at the annual Canadian Brewing Awards in 2005. The brewery captured nine medals in six different categories, included in this were six gold and three bronze. By gaining the first spot in both gold and total tally, Pump House won the coveted title of Canada's "Brewery of the Year". The Awards are currently the only contest in Canada that invites breweries of every size from all parts of the country to compete against each other in a blind tasting and see who truly brews the best in the land. They brew some of their onsite. You can buy some to take home. I had couple pints of the Blueberry Ale ... it was good! I ordered a Meat Lovers pizza. It's made in a wood-fired oven. It was a good pizza. The sauce wasn't too sweet. There are dipping oils on the tables with herbs ... I especially liked the spicier one. Isabelle was my server. I believe this is an old brewery as the name suggests. They have a great range of beers on tap and in bottles. My favorite to date ( i have time to go back and try some different ones!!!) is the Blueberry Ale, which is actually served with a handful of blueberries dropped into the beer!! Absolutely loved it. They have made booths out of old brewing barrels and it is a really effective twist on a booth. The food was very good considering that when you read the menu it is the usual selection of burgers, pizza, salads etc. The portion size was spot on and the quality of the food was good very tasty. I did spy they had some good looking deserts but I did not have the time to stay to sample them..when i go back to test some other beers I will make time for the deserts ;) The service was quick polite and once your order was in they popped back every so often to check on things. If you are in downtown Moncton and are in need of food and drink you could do worse than trying the pump house. P.S. The white 'pots' which hang around the bar are the mugs used by the 285 regulars who have paid $20 for the pot and then $2 a month to rent the peg the mug hangs from. These mugs hold more than the glass which you are served your beer in and if you drink two a visit you actually get a whole other drink free which compensates for the $2 peg rental... This is a legendary joint in downtown Moncton! I came here 5 years ago and it seems like this inside hasn't changed since! A fantastic selection of micro-brewed beers produced on location! I ordered the 32 Oz. premium lager which is gargantuan! It's a steal for $9.50 a glass! I had a taste of the IPA (very hoppy) and the fire chief red. All were very nice! The IPA was a bit more hoppy than my liking but to each their own! We ordered an assortment of pizza, wings. The bacon cheeseburger was interesting and the barbecue chicken was downright awesome! All the food was tasty and generous in portion. If you are into beer, wings and pizza then this place is heaven! read more

I tried a bit of the steak too. It was not overly tender or tasty. It was definitely not the best steak either of us has tasted by a long shot. This place is known for their fine brews. We had the mussels (very fresh tasting), garlic fingers (as good as always, though a bit small), and fish and chips (very, very good fish, deplorable once fried mushy fries). The fish was thick and flaked beautifully. It was almost juicy when I bit into it. It goes without say that the fried batter was perfect. I don't remember having it this good in recent memory. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAMAZING! To say the least. Great microbrewery, the beer is some of the best I've had. Everyone rave's about the blueberry ale, listen to them it's a nice fruity ale. I love my spicy food and I love my wings so I went with the XXX wings. Just the right amount of kick for me, however if you can't handle your spice I wouldn't try them as it says no returns! The wings themselves aren't huge which I prefer, They're lightly breaded and fried perfectly for a nice crisp in every bite. If you can't handle the XXX hot wings I strongly suggest another flavour. I've eaten A LOT of wings in my day from MANY different places and after some long hard thought I'd have to say these delicious little bast@$ds take the cake! One of my favorite places to eat and get a drink when I'm in Moncton. Amazing food and even better service.

This place has what is possibly the best burger I've ever had in my life. On vacation I do my homework on Yelp and almost never eat at the same place twice in one trip, but after trying the Burger That Ate Moncton I was determined to go back again the next day to have another. I guess if you're a purist, it may be cheating to add pork to a burger as a topping, but the end result was beyond my expectations. The beers here are good as well. They brew their own, right inside the dining room against the wall. I really enjoyed both the Special Old Bitter (S.O.B.) and the Scotch Ale. The Blueberry Ale was fine, but too sweet for me a third of the way through even though the blueberry flavor is quite subtle. If I'm ever in Moncton again, I will be absolutely sure to come back here for that burger, even if I have to fit it in between other meals. read more

We went to try out this place thinking it was just a bar but was surprised to see it was a great sit down restaurant. I was afraid it was going to be a crowded packed bar where you have to fight your way through people. It was NOTHING like that. It was a little loud but the staff were so friendly and attentive. We got right in and the food came so quickly. We tried the blueberry micro brew with real blueberries floating in it was out of this world!!!
