She was so rude that I never even stepped foot into the humane society and instead found a guinea pig rescue in South Carolina which found a piggy friend for my lonely little pig. I understand that they're jaded because of all the surrenders and bad pet owners, but treating me like that was absolutely uncalled for and very unprofessional.

The online form was completed twice, I called multiple times and also sent emails. I never received a response (hence the loss of one star). However, I went to the shelter not aware they were closed on a Wednesday. I called and said I had attempted contact and really needed to leave the dog due to honest fear of him hurting my two small dogs. The staff were pleasant and did take the dog even though they were closed. The sweet women I dealt with were efficient and very kind. I understand not all the visits people have could be pleasant but mine was not bad at all.

Everything was seemingly good, they have instagram account, business on Google Maps with reviews (all posted 2 months ago - flag #1), we communicated through private messages on Instagram, they were answering most of my questions. I was really excited! We got approved for adoption. They were going to deliver it themselves for only $100 more. They are very good liars! So good, you don't realize you're being scammed. They are very crafty scammers, gotta give it to them! The best ones I have had to deal with yet. However, I still had this feeling like something isn't right. So I started digging deeper, comparing reviews on their website and Google maps, searching for the reviewers on Facebook and Instagram to at least find one real person I could ask about a cat they supposedly adopted. Nothing! So I asked them for references, previous customers, their vet, someone I can talk to. Here everything started getting even more suspicious. Gave me a random name of a doctor they use Dr. Carver, supposedly a local vet in Savannah, GA. Mind you, their Instagram post about a visit to Dr. Carver is geo-tagged to Columbus, GA. Now either they drive 4 hours one way to see their vet, or Dr. Carver doesn't exist. At the end they just blocked me on Instagram, which couldn't have made it more clearer that they are scammers. Please don't send them any money and if you already did I'm sorry! I hate scammers and I hate that they exploit people's natural desire to have a pet.

Our five star review previously given on 10/14/2025 was for Priscilla. Obviously I do not know of the circumstances but she was the reason we went here. We completed two sessions of training with Priscilla for our new puppy. We were about to sign up for our third session when we learned of Priscilla's departure. Needless to say we did not subscribe to the third session nor will we ever shop in the store as well as encouraging our friends and family to do likewise. If PetSmart treats long time associates in the manner in which they treated Priscilla; then we will spend our money with companies who show compassion towards associates and the animals in which they serve. ---------------------------------- We just finished puppy and intermediate training with our Australian Shepherd puppy Ruby at PetSmart on Victory and cannot recommend these programs enough. We've gone through training with two of our other dogs but since Ruby is our first puppy, we wanted to make sure we knew what we should and should not do. Priscilla came recommended from neighbors and friends and they were correct. She is patient with all the puppies and humans. More importantly, she is firm but fair. We are excited to continue with additional classes in the new year to ensure we have a happy but well mannered Aussie that we can take anywhere.
