It is my understanding based upon the actual words of Native American people in the spiritual and witchcraft community that native sourced dream catchers and such ARE an appropriate thing to sell as long as actual Native Americans are the source of these goods and being compensated, but white sage is both unsustainable and not meant to be used outside of their closed practices. And using a native person as a mascot on your candle with the wrong terminology is beyond inappropriate.

If you're not familiar, Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan--"rei" means universal, and "ki" is life force energy. Everything was easy to schedule online, and she offers both in-person and virtual sessions. I've had my cards read and done Reiki before, but this was a much-needed reset. I found it calming, insightful, and overall really beneficial. It was eye opening and relaxing which I needed. As I waited 30 minutes, I found myself feeling conflicted because there wasn't a spot to sit down that didn't allow me to overhear his tarot reading but instead I had to pace back and forth in the store. Nevertheless, during my own reading, I find myself intellectualizing and unable to focus on the reading perhaps, due to my own strong skepticism of this trade. Moreover, I believe that a lot of what she was reading was based off of a solid understanding of generalizations and intuition of human behaviors and emotions; I felt that this was vindicated through her statement that tarot reading is meant to "validate" what you already feel and believe. As a result, I did not walk away with a new found understanding or great revelation but my partner did like his reading and found it "spot on".
