POS COMPANY. SCAM ARTIST…read more This garage is an absolute scam. When entering, no ticket was issued. When exiting, there was no kiosk, no QR code, no phone number, and no payment instructions whatsoever. The only sign stated "pay by phone," yet no phone number or QR code was provided. There was also no attendant or staff member available for assistance. I called the phone numbers listed on the website multiple times--one number was disconnected, and the other went directly to a towing company. At that point, my only option was to leave and wait for a ticket to arrive in the mail, which I knew would happen. That is completely unacceptable. This garage is clearly designed to trap drivers who reasonably assume payment will be straightforward, when in reality there is no way to pay at all. After receiving the ticket, I called the number provided and was placed in a 20-person queue, where it was obvious everyone was calling for the same issue. When I finally spoke with a representative to dispute the charge, I was told, "If there were no directions on how to pay, then why did you stay?" That response alone shows how fundamentally broken and predatory this operation is. This is not user error -- it is a deceptive system designed to penalize drivers with no clear method of compliance.

How bad can a parking garage be run to make someone want to actually take the time to review it?…read more REAL BAD. That is this place. ZERO STARS. I guess there is comfort in seeing the other reviews now and know I am not alone in how absolutely aggravated I felt leaving this place. DO NOT PARK HERE. This place $20 normal parking for lunch time for a few hours. Parking attendant confirmed she put an Early Bird coupon card on my car, but when I went to leave & tried to use it, it somehow didn't apply to me and she was not nice about it all. I get it if you have rules but the whole thing was not handled or communicated well, and then for $20 to be the normal price for a few hours is a joke. Additionally this place has one of the worst puke & piss smells I have ever encountered with a city parking garage ANY WHERE. Street access stair wells were also locked inbound (maybe to help keep down on people puking/peeing in them) but it also meant I couldn't get back to my car, without walking alll around the block, into the in ramp area, that was marked as no foot traffic, but I had no other way to get to my car. NEVER again....if you happen to read this, tell your friends not to park here either.

Denver was awash in various independent railroads before consolidation into four major carriers by…read more1880 with freight and passenger depots scattered all over town and a giant traffic jam of horse carts ferrying people, luggage, and freight back and forth. The big four finally wised up, created a consortium, and built the first Union Station in 1881. The original building only lasted until 1894 when an electrical fire destroyed the central hall and 180-foot clock tower. The stone wings survived and a Romanesque central hall was quickly rebuilt. This was demolished and replaced with today's Beaux-Arts Great Hall in 1914. The station was close to abandoned in the 1990s as train travel declined with only two Amtrak trains per day. A massive redevelopment in 2014 converted the station to a multi-modal transit hub including an underground bus terminal for RTD and Greyhound, light and heavy rail, Amtrak, and the 16th Street FreeRide. The Great Hall has been completely restored and now boasts multiple boutique shops, restaurants, bars, and the elegant Crawford Hotel, built into the upper floors. The outdoor Wynkoop Plaza has seating for several restaurants plus a splash pad with computer-programmed water jets that gets lots of attention on hot days. Following the plaza out of the rear (north) side of the building leads to the tracks for heavy rail (Amtrak, the A-line to the airport, and the B-, G-, and N-lines). Continuing to the north is Lightrail Plaza with the RTD C, D, E, L, R, and W routes. The terminus for the 16th Street FreeRide is tucked behind this. The redevelopment of Union Station has been an enormous success. The multi-modal system works great. The bars, shops, and restaurants have been very popular and the Great Hall is comfortable and stunning. This is one of my favorite spots in Denver.

However we were able to walk around and enjoy the architecture. Downside is parking. There's street paid metered parking, but know it can get super packed on any given day. Its nice that even though it's a smaller outdoor shopping mall, they decorate with Christmas lights and mini trees here and there. So far, I've been to the Ku Cha, It's Sugar, and Hot Topic here but there's a CO souvenir shop for tourists, an H&M, Sephora, and a theater. Nice that they have free buses to and from here as well. Hopefully with the growing pains out of the way, there'll be more in the form of shopping, entertainment, and other food options in the future.

To describe Denver Pavilions today is very sad and tired, with only a handful of retail stores left, such as Sephora, Hot Topic, and H&M. I remember going to Forever 21 the last time I was here, but sadly they had closed. The rest of the occupants left are just restaurants, a movie theater, an arcade, and a bowling alley. I think maybe at least 75% of space was vacant, mostly on the second and third floor. The only places that I visited were IT'SUGAR and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. It was just not interesting being here at all. Also, the entire 16th Street Mall in front of it is all torn up and under construction, which can be a pain to access. Who wants to listen to all that loud construction noise while shopping/dining at an outdoor mall? Malls are becoming a thing of the past these days, which is sad but true. I guess some things are not as good as you remember before.
