What a neat place! Well now for some details. We went here with some friends who recently moved to the area. They have been several times over the last few months and have falling in love with the place. Let's just start with the location - just wow! A great location for sunsets and dinner. A large open wrap around balcony and a top level roof area, that I hear they have bands play on occasion. The inside is also very nice. With roll up windows that on a warmer day would be fantastic. Now the food: we all were very happy with our food. Really nice portions. Sorry I didn't take pictures this evening. Now staff: very very friendly. Watching them while we were waiting and then eating. I seen staff busting their butts. Clearly they were short staffed. What I learned later on in the evening was that several (jerk staff - my opinion) called out because it was Halloween evening. Clearly this isn't the workers who showed up, management or the owners fault. Looking at previous reviews, this has happened before. I've seen this before as well - and it's happening more and more often to good places. I will not hold that against them - I hold it against the crap folks who nowadays just don't have a work ethic. Let's wrap up my rating. I posted a 4 star review but it's really a 4 1/2 star place. That's just not an option. After all the times we've driven by there we decided on the way home to have breakfast. Wife said eggs and bacon were perfect . I had B&G. Wasn't bad I'm used to having sausage in my gravy. Biscuit. Was kinda stuck to the bottom of the bowl wasn't fresh just microwaved really good. Nice place driveway is a disaster. Service was just ok. Not sure how long she had been doing it. My experience from being on the road for many years is when they are overly polite service sucks. Everyone was either baby or honey. We visited pre-opening on 6/18/26 for the first time. We were moved by the surrounding beauty. No words. We were graciously met by Michael, who shared information about its history. We ordered drinks and cheese curds, while view gawking. Super yummy! Decided on their burger for early dinner, and it was perfection. We stayed 3 hours. The extra treat was meeting Michaels latest family addition. What a cutie! Big sis was very proud. We will return again for more relaxing yummies. read more

Came here for a drink and the view. The view is incredible. They don't have a full bar so we had beers. Sadly they were out of the IPA. A beer and the view in a hot summer day was a treat. Owner and his daughter were very friendly as were a couple of the patrons at the bar. read more

Food was excellent, had the meatloaf. Server was very attentive and amazingly helpful with the menu. Restaurant literally sits on top of a mountain so the views are amazing from all angles. You can actually go outside and make your way to the rooftop for even better views! The only drawback to the whole dining adventure was like I said earlier, the restaurant is located on top of a small mountain. The drive up and down are not for the faint hearted, but honestly, it's well worth the trip. read more

Great venue and location but they have no idea how to run a restaurant. Half full and it's taking an hour to bring out two BLT sandwiches. Kind of sad because the location and the vibe is great. But if they can't get their stuff together on actually handling customers they are doomed. read more

Made a reservation for 6:30 pm got food at 8:18 pm, the absolute worst service ever, server was basically incompetent. They weren't near busy enough to justify a 2 hr wait for food. Husband ordered salmon was served w/o any rice , had 6 people 5 got their food & 6th waited another good 20 mins before getting theirs, said they lost the order. But everything was on one ticket.... Server never bothered to come to table & ​let us know it would take so long. Just TERRIBLE SERVICE & FOOD wasn't that great. Doubt we will ever be back. Very poorly managed, not enough servers and apparently really slow kitchen staff....Go here at your own risk. DONOT RECOMMEND read more

I would give zero stars if possible and if I had gone to the bathroom before we ate, we would have just walked out before being seated. That was just the ladies' room. Husband had same reaction to the men's room but it was far worse. Over an hour to get our food and it was so greasy it was almost inedible. While waiting for food (at the end of the bar), a waitress set a high chair tray right in front of me and started cleaning it off. I guess I gave her a crazy look because she said she was sorry and moved. (We sat at bar supposedly so we would not have as long a wait for service.) Servers seemed nice but absolutely no urgency or apologies for the extremely slow service. I assume they are understaffed as the restaurant was not even at capacity. (45 min wait to be seated unless sat at bar and there were empty tables available) Cool decor, live music and what should have been a great atmosphere. They have an awesome scenic location and a great venue. It is a tragedy they cannot follow through with quality food and good service. Won't be going back. Terribly disappointing. read more

There are times when out for a casual ride you stumble upon a gem. "The Quarry Restaurant" is definitely a Diamond! Straight up this rock lined road is a view only akin to Clingmans Dome. The food was wonderful. Having breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. There is a bar, band area, dining room and deck. The waitress was as sweet as The Southern Sweet tea she served. We were fortunate to meet and have a photo of with one of the owners. The hospitality and vision they still have for this place is extraordinary! We were given the tour and was explained the future vision. I will let you ask about that. This visit and meal, this goes down in the books as one of my new favorite places. I can not wait to have breakfast here and watch the sunrise! Out of five stars, it gets a 5+! Tell them Tamie sent you! You will not regret it. Went here on vacation at dale hollow and heard great things about this place but the moment we started to order, our waitress was super slow and even at one point completely ignored one of our friends. The Mac and cheese was literally just store bought. Although I didn't mind the food and the view is absolutely beautiful. This place is definitely not all it was hyped up to be. The quarry WAS an amazing spot to eat and enjoy amazing views, but unfortunately they are no longer the amazing place they used to be. When they first opened food came out lightning fast and was really good. But I came back and our food took over an hour to come out and was just microwave food. Our waiter was extremely slow and messed up our orders, drinks, and checks. There is an 18% gratuity if you have a party of 6 or more even if you pay on separate checks.
