Ate the burger too fast to get a picture

The burgers are deep fried, delicious goodness. They have this great sauce that they make for the burgers. The people that work there are all very friendly. What a great experience. We took a detour, on our way to Dale Hollow lake. It is worth it if you are within an hour of Tompkinsville, KY, to stop in and get a burger. They have lots of different bags of chips, to pick from. No fries or onion rings. My sweet tea was perfect. I think this is has to be on the way to a few other places, so I have an excuse to go back. Thanks for the delicious and very nicely priced lunch.

Best little dinner you will ever find! Just the same as anything you've seen in any home time movie! Just like bellying up to your mommy's kitchen table!

This a classic hole in the wall restaurant that has a great burger! My uncle was shocked that I'd never had a Dovie burger and asked me if I wanted it "squeezed?!" They cook the burger in a skillet of grease. The meat was crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. My cousin made fun of me because I said I was going to get it squeezed; his peer pressure worked and I did not have mine squeezed. It was well worth the cheap cost and experience.

First saw this on diners drive-ins and dives. Had a local take me there and it's absolutely amazing and unique that a restaurant that deep fry's hamburgers could do such a vibrant business especially at lunchtime. I make the annual trek to this place and I must admit the hamburgers are absolutely unusually delicious and it's a lot of fun to simply show up. If you want dessert you can find them in the little Debbies boxes scattered around the bar area in case you're hungry after your deep-fried cheeseburger. Absolutely love to visit this place , was a lot of fun and the staff is very friendly

Straight up with sauce, pickles and onion.

Old and outdated. Smells like greasy old farts and clogged arteries. No veggie or bean burger options.

I had the Dovie burger (which comes with special sauce, pickles and onions) unsqueezed with chips and an RC Cola.

The dining room feels clean and welcoming, the service is friendly and down-to-earth, and portions are hearty enough that the regulars (and visiting challengers) keep returning. Standout strengths are the breakfast offerings and the house-sized portions: the restaurant is locally famous for its oversized "Mike's Big Breakfast" challenge and consistently large, satisfying plates that make it an ideal stop for a hungry traveler or a family meal. There's a lot to like if you enjoy generous pancakes, thick-cut toast, crispy hashbrowns, or smoked chicken and brisket options. Service tends to be warm and personal, and staff are attentive and helpful. However, a few patrons report occasional order misses during busy shifts, so a polite reminder about any special sides can be beneficial. The restaurant also appears active on local social channels and delivery platforms, which makes takeout an easy fallback. In short, choose The Eatin' Table when you want honest, filling Southern comfort food served with small-town hospitality. It's a supportive, friendly spot that shines at breakfast and offers reliable, flavorful plates for lunch or dinner. It's perfect for visitors exploring Monroe County who want hearty portions and a welcoming vibe.

Let's start with the expected: chicken fried chicken was amazing. The loaded fry appetizer also amazing. Sides were great. Mac and cheese and green beans both well above average to me. The waitresses were all so helpful and sweet. But let's talk about the other amazing part. This place feels right out of a post apocalyptic movie! If you've ever wanted to feel "out of this world" or in a community fenced off from the zombie apocalypse and struggling to make you feel some normalcy in your life... THIS IS THE PLACE. My goodness I loved it. An old couple in the corner was playing some Garth Brooks covers to set the mood. A "straight from the 80s arcade room" in the back had some flashing lights shine through the doorway into the main dining room. Also... this place was packed. The dusty parking lot did not have a single spot for us open and we had to wait on a parking spot. No wait when we got inside luckily. But back to the post apocalyptic vibe... I really can't explain it much better. The 80s arcade... the wood paneling on the walls. The old toy heavy machinery and trains lining the walls. The smell of the food thickening the air. Even the staff... all unique as can be!!! Don't forget the overstock Christmas plates they pulled out for us to use!!! Highly recommend this place for the food... but if you've ever wanted to experience what a restaurant would be like after the zombies take over... Give yourself a treat and come here!!!

They have a venmo barcode outside, (it is $10 for parking) but I couldn't get it to work, so I went inside. It was packed! But I did manage to pay and get a receipt to put on my dashboard. They told me I could get $5 off my purchase if I showed my receipt. However at the register they said that promotion was over. In the end, they honored it, so I appreciated that. We had the banana pudding and peach cobbler and an ice cream. The ice cream was purchased separately, so we got it immediately. But it took at least 20 minutes for the pudding and cobbler. At one point, I jokingly said to my daughter "are they making it right now"...and they I think they were. The vanilla wafers on the sides and bottom were crunchy, not soggy. It is one of the better banana puddings I've had lately. Definitely recommend it! The cobbler was warm but not what I was looking for. They have a ton of local made products and the bathroom was very clean. Their sign advertised Farm to Table. If we get out that way again I would definitely give their menu a try.
