Wow! The food is TERRIBLE! A microwaved "hamburger" patty? It tasted like absolute crap. The owner should be embarrassed.

Extremely poor service. The staff acted like we were a burden and we basically had to figure everything out ourselves. At least the price was good. read more

I'm trying to find a reason to give this place less than 5 stars but I can't. The bartender was attentive, she gave us information about the town, the people, crime (petty theft at the most) and business. Me and my husband found a favorite bar in La Junta, did I forget to mention that it's the only bar in town? Jajaja. At least it was the only bar since our last visit in 2017. It does have parking and it does have food...the food was ok, better than other nice bars we've gone to. I think they accept dogs. read more

Nice clean place, great atmosphere with good music-not too loud- just perfect. Bartender is very friendly and the food was very fresh and good. I had a sandwich and potato salad and my husband had a cheese burger and potato salad. We enjoyed it. One thing that impressed me was the owner stopped in and talked to every single person. He asked us how our food was and how we were being treated. He took time with everyone and was a very nice man. Stopped in this place after rolling into town this evening. We were immediately welcomed by a friendly La Junta(n)? named James. He bought us 2 rounds of drinks and food and said, "Welcome to La Junta!" Our 3-year-old train aficionado loved the train memorabilia everywhere. A lot. The bartender was awesome and the place was much bigger and nicer than the pictures looked. Even the bathroom was nice and clean. The food was pretty standard frozen Costco fare- cheese sticks, wings, poppers, fries. Nothing super exciting- but this is a bar, so how much food do you really expect? We expected enough to keep our kids entertained while we ate and drank. Which we had. It was a very nice welcome to La Junta. Thanks for having us! read more

As someone with family ties to La Junta stretching back a century or more, I observe with delight that a business like The Railyard has *finally* sprouted in this town. The concept is core to the identity of a city like La Junta that owes its existence to its location as a transportation junction dating back to pioneer days, and the Railyard stands proudly across the street from La Junta Station on the Junction of Highway 50 and Colorado, the busiest street in the area. The Railyard's interior showcases numerous railroad signs as well as an authentic railroad crossing signal and other rail-related memorabilia. It is sparkling clean from the cheerfully lit ceiling down to the original beautiful hard wood floors, and the bathrooms would do well as an example for every other business in town (cough cough). The rear of the structure opens to an outdoor patio, where I will certainly be parked this Spring. Their selection of spirits features many high-end liquors you won't find anywhere within 60 miles, and they of course carry plenty of excellent Colorado beers as well as national brands. There are two TVs above the bar for catching your favorite sports, and plenty of conversation to be had with the locals who frequent here. I love to visit family in La Junta, and The Railyard has created a space that makes pending visits just that much more exciting. Beautifully done, and I can't wait to come back. read more

I have been to this bar three plus times after a great workout at Vasa. Love the vibe and games and always looked forward to a relaxing post workout chill. Unfortunately the service here is less than attentive. Sitting in the bar area (at a high top) it's never clear if you have to go up to the bar or wait for a server. After waiting an ample amount of time at a high top among an empty bar area without any acknowledgement I approached the bar. I stood there ignored for ten minutes while he stood at the computer splitting a check for the only other three guests in the room. Even with it being practically empty in none peak hours we never receive prompt service. Overall, horrible service and snarky manager who said "we will come to you" when I approached the bar and said we were done with our meal and needed new drinks. Was beyond frustrated at this point. Don't foresee us going back sadly. Hope this review wakes up management so they can stay in business. read more

The moment you walk in you already feel like you are in a great bar and restaurant. There are posters and sgins on the walls that give a good style to the place. You take a seat but dont let the small menu sway you away their sandwiches and burgers are top notch allong with a side of potato salad, it is a match made in heaven. Not only is the food good but the staff are kind and friendly they make you feel at home. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get a bite to eat and place to relax read more
