Nice selection of booze at the bar

Nice bar for a quick cold one on a road trip. Owner and 2 bartenders were very nice. Cleanest bathrooms I ever seen in a bar! Lots of cool train memorabilia Decent selection of beers and spirits.

Nice clean place, great atmosphere with good music-not too loud- just perfect. Bartender is very friendly and the food was very fresh and good. I had a sandwich and potato salad and my husband had a cheese burger and potato salad. We enjoyed it. One thing that impressed me was the owner stopped in and talked to every single person. He asked us how our food was and how we were being treated. He took time with everyone and was a very nice man. The bartender kept checking on us to make certain we were happy and didn't need anything. I would definitely come back

Food was good but a little overpriced. Location was easy to find. Wait staff were good and were friendly. Loved the decorations.

Wow! The food is TERRIBLE! A microwaved "hamburger" patty? It tasted like absolute crap. The owner should be embarrassed.

STOP HERE. We're use to KC prices but here beer is cheaper all the time than happy hour in any place we've been.

We went to this restaurant with a group of friends this week. I have to say how much I enjoyed it…read more And I don't give out five stars lightly. The restaurant wasn't fooling around when it comes to garlic. You could smell the enticing aroma of it as soon as you walk through the door. The ambience was quaint. It is connected to a hotel which I'd check out if I were traveling through here again. We arrived at the restaurant around 530pm. The happy hour menu had both drinks and some dinner items on it. My companion ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs from the happy hour menu. We were told the portion is the same as from the regular menu. It was $14. ($18 on regular menu.) It was a generous portion with three large meatballs. I opted for the Picatta Pasta at $12 and added four shrimp for an extra $6. They gave me five so I'm not sure if the chef made a mistake or was just feeling generous. I'll say the latter! The dish had tomatoes, capers, lemon, and white wine. The only thing I'd add to my taste would be pine nuts! We both totally enjoyed our meals including the bread! I forced myself to leave a little for lunch the next day and it was even better then! Comments I heard from around the dinner were equally enthusiastic about their meals, especially those who ordered the mussels. We're in town for a week and I don't usually go back to the same restaurant twice when I'm visiting a new location but my companion and I are definitely going back again before we leave. It was a Fri and a bit of busy night when we were there but our server Jillian did a great job and was super nice.

Needed Italian food. This was a nice place. Great layout, we sat back in the grotto. Sweet cute…read moreguy took care of us. We started with happy hour margs but ewww on the tequila. Switched to happy hour Montepulciano wine. Much better choice. The wife had the muscles, lots with good garlic bread. Also the Caesar salad with anchovies. She loved both. I had the chicken marsala. A little different from what I have had before but good. Would like to try a tomato dish but they are closed the next couple of days. Sorry no photos. PS. The Tiramisu was 5 stars!!! Very good.
