Where do I begin to explain what an amazing experience we had at the Ranch. We arrived with a group in total of 31 for a family reunion of sorts, and were all wowed by the service and special touches. Even from the pickup, I knew this experience would be special. I had a great conversation with Nora as she and some colleagues picked us up from Missoula and drove us to the Ranch. She talked about what makes this ranch so special and all the things she enjoys doing there. After a prior day of travel, it was also very nice to stretch out in the large vehicles provided (with water and snacks) and enjoy the amazing drive. We also had a side stop in Philipsburg where my two children really enjoyed the candy store! Once we made it to the Ranch, the wow's just kept coming. After dropping our bags, we had some of the best farm to table food I've ever had! The chefs take great pride in the food they are putting on the table the ingredients they select from. The service in the main dining hall (The Buckle Barn) is also top notch! Big shout outs to Storm and Claire! Storm took the time to get to know my kids and their VERY PICKY eating habits and had their specialty meals waiting for them for when we sat down to eat. Doing this simple task of getting a food for a child (that's not even on a kid's menu) really but my anxious mind at ease over the fear of "what will they eat this trip???". Side note: There was also a picnic lunch one day and without asking, Storm also had those sandwiches already packed in our lunch bag. Having two young children on a trip, it's often seen as parenting in a different location, not the case here. The Ranch provided camp for my two children with some of their younger cousin's every day, both morning and the afternoon so they could go and enjoy the Ranch at their pace. They got to fish, took UTV rides, made tie-dye t-shirts, mined for sapphires, and many arts and crafts, all in the beautiful surroundings of nature. This wonderful accommodation allowed my husband and I to have an actual vacation while away. We flyfished, went to the multiple gun ranges, sat by the creek, rode horses (request the guide Sierra, she's great!), did archery and ropes courses, and got to enjoy the time together. The accomidations were very lovely. Our large group took over 4 of the 5 cabins and each had their own charm. We watched the 4th of July fireworks from the comfort of the porch wrapped up in the cozy robe provided by the Ranch. Each night after a long day of activities and wonderful food either in the Buckle Barn or out by the Pebble Pond, you would come back to your bed turned down with a wonderful new product waiting for you provided by the Spa. I can't say enough good things about the time we had at the Ranch at Rock Creek and can only wish to one day return to the flowing waters of it's cool creek, and the stary sky's that light the way. read more

Amazing! Not sure where to start!! Our family of 4 spent the week of Thanksgiving '24 here at The Ranch at Rock Creek and had a culmination of experiences that would forever be remembered. We flew into Missoula and spent one night at a downtown hotel before making our way to the ranch. From the moment the RC driver met us in the hotel lobby to the time we were dropped off at the airport we were impressed. The experiences at RC was totally awesome. Each time we would head out with our private guide we embarked on an unforgettable journey. We started off as a family doing the UTV tour of the ranch. Absolutely beautiful and serene time! One of my favorite experiences was the respite by the creeks edge. The staff had made a fire for us, placed some hammocks out, some games and books on our picnic bench. This was of course accompanied by a great bottle of wine and a charcuterie board! Our kids did some fly fishing while mom and I relaxed that afternoon. All of the facilities are top-notch and there is a ton of detail at every turn on this property. Some of our favorite shooting experiences were the rifle range and revolver shooting course with our guides Karson & Robert. The food at RC is an experience in itself and as good as you can imagine. We were lucky enough to meet the new chef Zach and he is truly passionate about his work! His first meal at the ranch was nothing short of amazing. Each dish was absolutely incredible & ultra tasty! The entire staff was so kind and attentive to us which we truly appreciated. Many thanks to Candace to making sure everything was perfect for us! Emily our breakfast server was so kind and thoughtful in the way she greeted & served us each morning! Brett was our dinner server most nights and he was always a joy to be around. He was also quite fast on the 5k Thanksgiving day but not quite as fast as Reed! Overall we had a some incredible expierences and plan to return to RC in the near future! read more

What a relaxing and entertaining experience! The ranch was decorated with all the rustic elegance one expects from a Montana ranch resort. The accommodations demand first class status, along with the food and drinks deserving loud applause. The activities were enjoyable and the staff were very knowledgeable. The equipment, including all necessary clothing, were of exceptional quality. After dinner, we had fun at the Saloon where movies, pool, and bowling were offered. This is a 5 star resort in all regards. It is worth every dollar spent. In fact, I would say it is a bargain. We will be back. read more

The Ranch at Rock Creek is simply amazing. A winter wonderland of fun activities. The people that are at the ranch are some of the best staff I have ever met and I have been to many resorts but this ranch is next level. Mackenna one of the lead wranglers was high energy and very knowledgeable and made sure everyone had a great time. Audrey the rodeo expert and Mackenna took us on a horse ride around the river which was not only super informative but a peaceful enjoyable experience. Call outs like Kayden, Rebeca, who were outstanding severs. Craig the wine sommelier was very knowledgeable and Jonathan the bartender/IT guy made me an amazing Manhattan! This guy is legendary! Rowdy was our guide for the snowmobile tour that was incredible and he was a very patient and an outstanding guide. Kate answered all our phone calls, Chelsea brought us a killer pizza! Best pizza I had all year! Nani was our driver most of the time and she always went the extra mile! Emily was one of our servers who took care of us at the Buckle Barn, Julia and Dalon were our killer bartenders at the Saloon. Everyone was very personable and super accommodating. This place is expensive but worth every cent! I give this place a round of applause for being the best vacation experience I have ever had! Thank you Ranch at Rock Creek you are all amazing! Pros: Really beautiful property with a lot of fun activities. We rode horses, hiked, shot (inanimate) stuff, caught and released trout, and rode bikes (more to come on that one). Guides and staff were all super friendly, really seemed to be happy to be there and happy to help. Their chef did a great job accommodating our dietary preferences, which is rare in mountain-y areas and we appreciated the personal touch. Cons: Wifi was good when connected, but seemed to be misconfigured... you have to constantly reconnect (happened with both of our iPhones). Our room was "Colt" which was quite tiny and I was expecting a king bed, but really it was two twins pushed together with a gap in the middle. Finally, downhill mountain biking... it's fairly dangerous and the only protective gear they provided was a helmet (like a motocross helmet). Had I been wearing body armor I wouldn't have a shredded my shoulder... 4 out of 4 guests in our group also had (minor) crashes. Bottom line: A few addressable issues aside, it's a really special property/ranch and you're likely to have a fun time! read more

My wife and I along with a group of 30 others visited the ranch in September 2017 for an anniversary trip. We could not of been happier The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The helped us with anything we needed. Could not of been better. The food was top notch and some of the best tasting we have had on our travels. The activists were world class. The guides for each activity were well knowledge on each activity. They were friendly and extremely patient with our group. We had a few elderly people with our group and the ranch made there experience as fun as everyone else's. We cant wait to go back to visit. read more

Visited this place in October with just 40 guests in total. It was a great experience. All inclusive. Our activities were fly fishing, horse back riding, target shooting - rifle and hand gun, archery, etc. they have everything and they cater to you. Every thing you request, they make it happen for you. The food is exceptional - very high quality, modern and flavorful. We had a cabin for 3 nights and we were 2 couple. Total price was $20,000. So, 10K for a couple. Not cheap, but it's good to go once. LeAnne Rhimes performed for the weekend. She's super nice. It felt like a camp for adults. We also had a spa day and at night, we were at the saloon where we played bowling, billiards, etc. and they had a live band every night where Leann would sing with guests and including our bartender Noah! Alcohol was all inclusive. I was drinking Glenlevit 18 the entire time. They also have Karaoke. And every evening, they arrange cocktail hours at different locations in the Ranch - it was super fun. read more

A trip to the Ranch at Rock Creek is a once in a lifetime experience. The staff, accommodations, views and food are second to none. Of course the website highlights activities and food very well, but what cannot be captured is the wonderful staff as well as comradery amongst other guests. I believe the maximum capacity is 75 guests so it is intimate while staying on the ranch, leaving the option to interact as little or as much with other guests as you would like. We met a lot of excellent people who helped make our trip amazing. All of the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay special. From the moment we got picked up at the airport by Nik, we knew we were in good hands. Truly every staff member we interacted with was pleasant. We had the kindest and most helpful servers- Julie, Kate, Kayden, and Kellie. Our main guide for activities was Riley and he was so patient with us and helpful in teaching us on the shooting range. Lastly, Jayden went above and beyond behind the bar every night. I mentioned in passing I love truffle fries (who doesnt!) and after dinner when we were socializing in the lodge she had the chef prepare a huge bowl of them with a wonderful aioli. So thoughtful and of course they were delicious. I appreciated Linda checking in on our stay daily, she made a point to ensure we were enjoying our stay and seeing if we needed anything. I could go on and on but I think you get the point- five stars in every way! We are already planning a trip back. Some little things to note if you are coming here: The toiletries in the room are above average and I realized I didn't need to bring shampoo, conditioner, etc. They even restock your toothbrush daily should you choose to use the ranch provided one. Many guests we met stayed a night in Missoula (or wherever you fly in) then come to the ranch firs thing the next day so you get the most of your stay with time for activities. I think we will do this next time. Service is tough on the ranch for ATT users but the wifi was very good. I couldn't make calls but could have used the room phone I think if I needed to. Should you not want to walk to all of your activities (I was with my 75 year old Nana) the staff will give you rides anywhere on the property in one of the many ranch vehicles. The team is very helpful with meals outside of regular hours. For example, there is a to-go lunch menu and we could pick a boxed lunch to enjoy on our ride out to the airport around lunch time. Or, we were able to order from the all-day menu upon arrival around 3:30 when we had missed lunch. read more

The Ranch at Rock Creek is a luxury ranch resort that offers a myriad of outdoor activities, delicious dining, and glamping or cozy cabin housing options. This is the place you want to go if you want to relax and experience the beauty of nature while still being fully entertained and taken care of. They're an all-inclusive getaway with full accommodations. Once you're there, all the activities and dining (including wine) are included and you can kick back and put your city slicker lifestyle on hold! Even though I'm usually hesitant to try things like zip lining, ropes courses, and skeet shooting, I felt well instructed by our guides and safe at all the activities. We scheduled two activities a day and ended up horseback riding (trail ride + arena lesson), fly fishing, paintballing, river rafting (level 3 where you can catch some air!), archery, and shooting shotguns. Evenings were spent in recovery mode at the bowling alley or in the saloons enjoying a cocktail. The food is all grown on the ranch or locally sourced. Chef Drage does a wonderful job balancing dishes that are both refined, but approachable and his versatility seamlessly spans Dutch oven dinners and bbqs to refined tasting menus. The service was professional, friendly, and attentive - simply top-notch. I could go on and on about how great my vacation was here, but it is truly an experience to be had. I was a little beat up from paintballing and horseback riding, but I went home with battle scars from a memorable week. I honestly didn't think Montana had much to offer, but after visiting the ranch and driving a couple hours through the towns, it's a beautiful state with friendly people and relaxed living. Can I at least get a " merry Christmas"? Not if you show up to rock creek on Christmas Day. I was hoping to visit the ranch and possibly get lunch after a 2 hour drive from missoula. We love visiting different ranches in Montana, and to my surprise this ranch was hostile to us showing up. One of the employees came out with his arms raised up and was angry. Apparently he was upset that we drove on his grass, which was covered by 5 inches is snow. Sorry I couldn't see the grass. We asked if we could eat at the restaurant and he said basically no, get lost. Customer service needs improvement, until they change I recommend a different establishment outside missoula. The luxury experience a ranch provides should start with potential clients and their greeting at the door. Won't be returning. read more

This review is a few months overdue but I'm glad to be able to finally give this place the major thumbs up that it deserves. My husband and I decided to take a romantic "unplugged" getaway but wanted to try something new. So after some debating between a few locations, we chose this luxury dude ranch in Montana. Umm.. EMPHASIS on the luxury! But - and I know this might sound like an oxymoron - but emphasis on the dude AND the ranch too. It is very luxurious with any and all of your whims taken care of. But check with your phone carrier before going because the ranch is so extremely remote, my phone did not work the entire time there. Honestly, I was dreading the withdrawals at first but eventually didn't really care that I was so unplugged. Again, make no mistake about it. IT IS a ranch. And between the shooting, horseback riding, fly fishing activities - it is definitely a "dude" one at that. Husband and I stayed in The Bluebird cabin. It is perfectly situated on the babbling creek set along the picturesque landscape. If privacy is what you're looking for, this is THE cabin to book. Before going to any destination, I do a lot of research and it doesn't matter which place I look into, regardless of how luxurious it is, there are always some negative reviews. Which is ok because no place is perfect. That was until I looked into The Ranch at Rock Creek. I was surprised to see that there are ZERO negative reviews! Like, seriously, for real: NONE. So I HAD TO visit. Best. Decision. Ever. We wanted desperately to be knee-deep in snow so we went in February. Unfortunately, we must have brought the California sun with us because they were experiencing record heat during our stay and there was barely any snow on the ground. As for the staff, I don't even know where to start for glowing compliments! Wow! Wow! Wow! Everyone treated us like family the moment we arrived until we were dropped off at the airport to fly home. Our agent informed us that our booking included all fees including tips so it felt wonderful not having to worry about carrying cash around. However, the staff's attentiveness and care were so above and beyond, it felt sinful to not tip them every time! We happened to be the only guests on our first 2 days there so the chef made us whatever we wanted to eat. Some of the most satisfying and flavorful preparations were served to our delight! I could go on and on. But my review would be 20-pages long if I listed every plus about this wonderful place. So I'll stop here. But do yourself a favor and put this place on your bucket list. Our stay at Rock Creek was beyond our expectations, which were already high. Everyone was so friendly and personable. You can tell they really care about their guests having a great experience. The GM Jon was fantastic. He really cares about his guests having the best time. He is very proud of his employees. Linda, the Director of Rooms, made sure everything went smoothly and we had everything we needed. I was having issues with my sinuses due to the dry air and she personally put a humidifier in our cabin while we were at dinner. The next day they delivered a saline spray. Phenomenal customer service. If you need something they will make it happen. Eli from the Rod & Gun club was probably our favorite guide. (We were with him several times). I wanted to see moose and he found them! He offered us beer for the UTV ride So much fun! We were feeling adventurous so he took us off the unbeaten path on snow covered trails. Pistols and rifles with Bree and Shelby were a blast. Erin, one of the Ranch Ambassadors, had been in contact with me for months prior to our arrival making sure everything on our itinerary was what we wanted. We had a spectacular time. A true vacation in paradise. The snow back drop added to the ambience of the charming Bluebird cabin. The bath tub is phenomenal. The sauna in the Bluebird was an awesome bonus! The food was out of this world. We were able to try cuisine we have never had before. They love their waygu beef and so did we! The rabbit croquettes were amazing! I could go on and on and on about how awesome the ranch is but I'll leave it with, if you have the means to visit, absolutely do it. There was not one negative thing about our stay. UPDATE: They really have corrected all of their growing pains ;-) This review is an update of my 3-star review of April 2013. Following my original Yelp review last April, the ranch owner Jim contacted me and we discussed my concerns at length. He indicated that they had worked hard to address these and other issues, and invited me to return to the ranch and join him for a few days at his expense. What a gesture! I turned down his generous offer, but took him at his word and am now at the end of another week-long stay at the ranch. I brought my extended family of 10, and I am paying 100% of this. I have received absolutely no "comps" from the ranch, so you can rest assured that this is another unbiased review. In short, they have addressed all of the issues that were a problem on our previous visit. They have plenty of staff now, so that virtually anything we wanted to do in this past week was available, as long as we had an hour or two flexibility depending on how much notice we gave them (i.e. same-day notice is more of a challenge, but previous-day's notice was never any issue at all.) Also they have purchased more horses. So now, my wife and kids have been able to ride every day, no problem, for as long as they want, and sometimes they rode twice a day. This was not possible last year. Perhaps due to the larger staff being much less stressed, there is no sign of any animosity between management and staff -- everyone we encountered seemed happy to be working here. As always, the entire staff has been absolutely wonderful. Whatever you want, they will go out of their way to satisfy. As a good example, when I asked for a draft beer at the lodge bar, they told me that they only have draft beer at the Cantina (about a quarter mile away from the lodge) and the Cantina was closed, Nevertheless, they offered to run down there and pour me one -- no problem whatsoever. How many places, no matter how nice, would ever do that for a guest? Our activities this week have included horseback riding of all sorts, a really fun rodeo, fishing, fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, archery, all sorts of gun sports including handguns, rifles, and clays, paint ball, bowling, movie watching in their large theater, kareoke, visiting antique stores in nearby towns, and plenty of reading and game-playing while enjoying INCREDIBLE margaritas. I've stayed at the ranch twice now, the last time being about two years ago, when the ranch was still in its infancy. It was five stars then, and based on reviews from another popular "review website," the ranch sounds even better now. I have never seen so many positive reviews on a place before, and it is a shame there are only three yelp reviews as of the date I write this. I think you can look no further than some of the summaries other guests have used to review the ranch to begin to understand how awesome this place really is. Statements like "wow," "even better the second time," "the best place on Earth," " BEST experience," and my favorite. " unbelievable and breathtaking aka AMAZEBALLS!" However, if you wanted to look further you would read things like Simon Fuller had one of his birthday parties here, and Kate Bosworth's wedding here was recently featured in Martha Stewart Magazine. Or that Forbes recently named the ranch its first ever five star property in Montana. As far as my review from 2 years ago: I think one of the things that might scare people from the ranch is the all inclusive price tag. Having been to several all inclusive resorts in the past, the Ranch at Rock Creek is by far the best for both price value and overall experience. Usually something ff at an all inclusive resort, but this is clearly NOT THE CASE at the ranch. The food, activities, service, rooms, ameneties, and location are all WORLD CLASS. I had the best dinner of my life at the ranch, a wine paired 4 course meal that featrued an amazing scallop and bison filet dish. The ranch's chef, Josh Drage, is an amazing chef who combines local and new world ingredients to make the anticipation of every meal an activity in itself. I recently ate a steak at a David Burke restaurant, who is famous for his dry aged steaks, but Chef Drage's steak was much better! The staff is great.. laid back, but with a sense of professionalism that is unrivaled. You start off with your own feeling that you are a customer, but you soon feel that you're simply a friend or part of the family. The bartenders (Tony, Patrick, and Nikki) make some of the best drinks you'll ever have from the all inclusive included premium local and brand name wines, beers, and liqours. In a matter of 5 days, I horseback rode twice, watched a genuine rodeo on the ranch itself, played paintball, shot clay pigeons, arrows, and rifles. I also hiked and mountain biked along the many mapped out trails on the ranch. For relaxation, my wife and I had a 90 minutes couple's massage at the spa. One night, we played games around a large outdoor bonfire, while the following day we had an outdoor picnic complete with bison burgers and freshly made salads. Other nights were spent at the ultimate mancave--the ranch's saloon, complete with a 4 lane bowling alley, pool tables, ping pong, shuffleboard, a bar with saddle stools, karaoke, and of course the "mini "movie theatre. We stayed in the western themed Winchester room that had a great bathroom with a separate room for the toilet, a mini fridge constantly stocked with beers, juices, and glass bottled sodas, and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Where else can you sleep to the sounds of nature- as the nearest main road is several miles away. The ranch was simply one of, if not the best vacations I've ever been on. I'd highly recommend it, and while you're there you will realize that life is meant to be like the experiences and time you'll spend and have at the ranch. read more

Amazing place for a vacation or for your next corporate event. I just held my companies annual offsite here for the second time and it has only gotten better. Activities, Activities, Activities!! Your team will never be bored. They have also done an awesome job putting corporate team building activities on the menu of activities they can provide. They did a whole "Olympics" for us that could not have gone better. The food is amazing and I love the fact that they can provide so many venue options and styles all in one place. They are also very accommodating to all dietary needs and restrictions. After you have one of Ned's cocktails you will be ruined from ever drinking at your local establishment again, heaven in a glass. The accommodations are all top notch with every attention to detail addressed, and the staff is so attentive that you feel like family. We just returned from our trip to The Ranch at Rock Creek and "WOW" sums up our experience. From the moment you arrive you are are awed by the natural beauty of the location. The activities are numerous and there is something fun for everyone to enjoy. I especially enjoyed the fly fishing and horseback riding and I'm not even the outdoorsy type! My husband and son had a great time shooting and mountain biking, and we all enjoyed the bowling in the Silver Dollar Saloon. The food was delicious and the wine was first rate. The accommodations couldn't be anymore charming or comfortable, with a stunning western decor throughout. There are just too many wonderful things to write about The Ranch at Rock Creek in one review. However, just one more thing. The service was EXCEPTIONAL!!! and I don't mean that in a formal way. All the staff were as friendly and as accommodating as you could hope. In short, we loved our trip to The Ranch at Rock Creek and would highly recommend it. read more
