This is a really great gym. I've taken a few of my cheerleaders up here for the open stunt night on…read moreThursdays. Ryan Johnson is the coach that runs it and he is fantastic. He gives such great feedback to the athletes. It doesn't matter if you're a basic or advanced stunter. They have people of all ranges that show up. Ryan is really great about making his way around to everyone. He makes an effort to learn everyone's name and get to know them. You feel right at home there. In most gyms stunt classes I have to do a lot of coaching with my girls. The people running the class like to stick around the more advanced stunters because that's more "fun" to work with. But Ryan is great and makes sure to work with everyone. It's great when you find a coach who actually knows what they're doing and clearly enjoys what they do! I have an infant and a husband who travels. I LOVE that I'm allowed to bring my son with me. Granted I keep him in the carrier the whole time, I worry about someone stepping on him. But I'm so appreciative of a gym that will allow me to work with my girls and have my son with me! Talk about family friendly! If you're in high school thinking about cheering in college, you're in college looking for somewhere to stunt or you're old like me and just like to see if you can still do a few skills I definitely recommend going here on Thursday nights at 8:15. You may get lucky and see my old self attempting to relive the glory days!

This is such a great gym. I brought my team here to do choreography with Chris. He's absolutely…read moreamazing. His choreography is creative with so much visual. He works well with different personality types, especially difficult coaches like myself. The gym itself has 3 full sized nationals mats. Two are spring and the other is flat. They have tramps, tumble tracks, viewing areas, etc. This is a great place to go for any cheer needs. They are priced reasonably if you are needing to out source choreography or music!

I came here for my daughter's birthday party. The price was right and the kids had a lot of fun. I…read morethink the kids who run the place on the weekends are good at what they do as well. One of the selling points for the birthday party is they teach the children a cheer and later the children perform the cheer for the parents at the party-finale (it sounds so dramatic calling it a finale, huh?). I was excited about this but after seeing it ... well I was underwhelmed. It was very short. I suppose that is due to the limited time they have to teach them so perhaps my expectations were a bit high. Also, beware the parties run back to back and right alongside of some 1-1 cheer instruction (the students and instructors stay out of the way of the party). While I was hanging out with the parents during the party, we were able to watch some of the gymnastics students in their 1-1 instruction - wow. The students there seem very talented and focused and they had many awards hanging on the ceiling as well. If my daughters want to get into cheer, I will look at this place very closely as they seem very good. The birthday party was a success too.

This is specifically for the MANSFIELD GYM 4 YEAR OLD TUMBLING CLASS. First of all for the 4 year…read moreold tumblers, they should call it a boot camp because all she had them doing was obstacles that she barely even explained for them how to do, kids were not having fun. One of the instructors is a old white woman(either Ariana or Michelle, idk which one is which) who just sat on her butt the whole time yelling at them from across the obstacle course , the kids would get lost and confused not knowing what to do next , including my daughter which it was her first time btw, and all she would do is yell and check her phone, never explaining anything to the 4 year olds. When the kids were lining up, she than snapped at my daughter when she accidentally was going to cut in line, instead of speaking to her like she is a 4 yo who doesn't know better, the instructor looked up at me really quick too when she caught herself because she knew she could've said it differently, if you don't know how to work with kids than find something else to do. To top it all off at the end of the class the other instructor which is a Hispanic lady(either Ariana or Michelle) calls all the kids together in a group, brings out a big bowl of candy, and says "hmmm the best listener today was "blank", and only allowed ONE child to get a candy while the others all just accepted it and walked away, so she called all of the kids over there basically to rub it in there face because that's the way 4 YEAR OLDS are going to take it , how can they be a good listener when no one even told them what to do to begin with . My suggestion..Get younger more fun instructors who are going to have fun with the kids and make a game out of it, not 2 old lady's who just sit and yell acting like their running a boot camp and who don't even know how to talk or treat children ...ridiculous.

I found that a lot of the times they start 2-3 minutes later than scheduled and end a couple minutes earlier so a 45 min class ends up being 35...my daughter has been at other gymnastics classes before and she enjoyed them a lot more. Idk if it's bc this is a huge gym w lots of kids but she just didn't seem to enjoy the classes so I ended up pulling her out.

This gym is ok. A few takeaways from our experience. Things…read morethat could use a bit of tweeking / improvement 1. All staff where the same colored shirts on the same day, so there is an identifiable uniform. Just as cheer wears a certian uniform, socks, shoes, bows etc. So they can be identified and show as a team. (Have different shirts for customers to buy vs the same as staff) 2. *Consistency* in how a class is taught when you have multiple instructors (different one each week) is key for many! (Example: warm up the same, next exercise/apparatuse the same and how the present, explain and demonstrate, and so on) -When there is so much variation students tend to get confused. 3. Show the student how to do the exercise, do not just mark it, as many do not have an idea. Example Cartwheel - show a cartwheel, explain a cartwheel, then help student do cartwheel (just like you do a routine marked or full out, show full out!) 4. When classes are going on, random gym kids are wondering the floor and getting in the way of others. This is a safety hazard and rude to the ones participating in a class. 5. Staff should not be allowed phone use (or even on the mat) during a teaching of a class. 6. Staff greets as one walks in, Hospitality goes a long way in a competitive market (vs talking to friends) Overall kids enjoyed, instructors are nice, however had no big take aways or building on skills. We will be looking for another gym to try.
