Very disappointed After extensive, expensive films and assessment the dr decided that the best option was deep scaling ..... and refused to do a standard cleaning. My previous dentist looked at the films, says yes a scaling would be a good idea at some point, not urgent and said this approach to refuse my request for a cleaning which I get every 3 months, could have prevented additional buildup was irresponsible - (while I'm deciding on a $2000 procedure) - clearly they wanted the other higher cost procedure. There's no way I can trust this practice in the future so I'll be doing a standard cleaning in 2 weeks elsewhere followed in a month by the an assessment by another dentist. Do not go to the ranch dental care, in my opinion!!! They have totally messed up my mouth. I started going there a little over two months ago and never had any mouth issues now I have a botched root canal that they did, Dr. Kraus who I do not recommend, took four hours to do my root canal. Now I am left with chronic tooth pain probably a cracked tooth and now I have to be sent out to an endodontist. They are rough and when they numb you with the Novacaine, they just jam it into your gums and it hurt so bad. I've been on antibiotics for a month I had to go to urgent care because of the ranch dental. You name it I'm going through it and now I am out thousands of dollars and I still am having issues with the root canal and still have a temporary crown. It's been five weeks since my root canal and I am still in excruciating pain. Leaving my mouth exposed for four hours was not good and they sent me home with no antibiotics. That's why I had to go to urgent care over the weekend five weeks ago. Dr. Kraus has only been in practice for a year and her demeanor is very rude and she is very rough, in my opinion. Overall, it is not a good practice because when you try to voice your opinion, you get totally shot down like you are making this all up. Bradenton has plenty of dentists so just don't go to the ranch, dental care, in my opinion! read more

I normally don't write bad reviews but I feel the need to warn people before they try The Ranch Dental. I waited almost an hour in the waiting room for my cleaning then was brought back to have my teeth polished first by a tech who had no clue what he was doing. Water was going everywhere and I was very uncomfortable. She stopped half way through polishing each tooth for like five minutes each and the hygienist came in and started scaling. I'm not even sure they polished all of my teeth. The experience was awful! I told my husband and he also had a bad experience with them running late too. All they care about is herding people through and they don't care about customer service at all and offered no apologies when I complained. On a side note I went to Smiles and it was a world of a difference in the quality of cleaning and customer service that I received. read more

This office is completely unprofessional and unreliable. At least 5 or 6 times they've cancelled appointments on members of our family (myself, my son and my husband). My son drove 4 hours each way to come home for his cleaning and then they couldn't "find" his Advantage 1 dental plan so they cancelled the appointment on him after he had been sitting in the chair for 40 minutes waiting for them to figure it out. He had been there 6 months earlier and there was no problem. So the dentist made him leave the office. The billing woman I was on the phone with trying to figure it out, literally hung up on me and then they wouldn't answer the call when I called back. TOTALLY 100 % unprofessional - I strongly urge you to pick a different location. WE also had a huge fiasco last year where they scheduled my son for a cleaning appointment, but then said they didn't have time to do it so he had to come back the next day (which did't work bc he was leaving town). Also, I had specifically called ahead and told them NOT to do a panoramic X-ray bc my son had jUST had one done (didn't want him getting more unnecessary radiation), and their office was so disorganized that they accidentally did the X-ray anyway. The whole experience has been terrible. I strongly urge you to go elsewhere. read more

This was my first appointment. Due to recent surgery, I had to take antibiotics one hour prior to any dental work being done. I had an appointment scheduled. With traffic the drive was going to be about an hour. I arrived 15 minutes early. I was told the Dr. had an emergency and my appointment was cancelled. I was told a text was sent out earlier. My phone got no such text. They contacted me to confirm the appointment two days prior, I know they have the correct number. I was asked if I wanted to reschedule, I said yes but not at this practice. Very bad first impression. read more

Absolutely the WORST! My list.... 1. Constant rescheduling of my appointment by office staff 2. Root canal scheduled with endo, get to endo and dentist never did the prep 3. Ridiculous number of calls and texts to confirm appt, apparently I missed returning one call to confirm, arrived on time, waited 25 minutes, spoke to receptionist. Was scolded for not confirming (1of 20ish times), my appt was canx and I was put in as a back up apt. When I arrived, reception called ofc Mgr who I overhear say - she'll have to wait. .... Ummmm not me sister!! I walked out and will never return. I could keep going, but you should get the point by now. read more

WORST experience at a dentists office in my life! I booked a 10:30 am appt for a cleaning online. The office changed it to 11am without asking me. I showed up on time, filled out the necessary paperwork, waited in the waiting room for 10 minutes. They called in to do a lot of x-rays. This almost an hour to do. Then the dentist came in to do her exam. Someone else came in to check gums. After 1 1/2 HOURS, they tell me that I would need to wait ANOTHER HOUR to see a hygienist because there wasn't one available. I booked an appointment for a cleaning and NEVER RECIEVED a cleaning. The dentist came back in to tell me no one was free. I told them thanks for wasting an hour and half of my day. She didn't seem to care. No one did. Stay far away from this office! Horrible dental experience and horrible customer service. read more

Ranch Dental Review- Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place!!!! Regarding my appointment with Ranch Dental on 1/4/24, I was brought back for my cleaning approximately 40 minutes late. My hygienist spent about two minutes cleaning my teeth and then proceeded to go next door and completely clean the teeth of someone else. After another 10 minutes had passed with no one paying any attention to me, I asked for the manager. I informed her of my experience thus far and she did not apologize and only went over my payment expectations. I advised her that I wanted her to run everything through insurance first, so that I had no unexpected fees. They advised that I should have a deep cleaning done due to some build up. She said that there would have been a fee, but due to my experience that day, it would be completely waived and I would not owe anything. Finally, a hygienist in training came in and started polishing my teeth first, before any scaling had been done, which is not the way it's supposed to be. It was a truly awful experience!! To top it all off, we received a bill about a month later for $270. I have been trying to reach a manager there for about 6 months. The managers are hardly ever at the office and when they are, they don't come to the phone. read more

I scheduled an appointment online as a new patient and filled out all the necessary paperwork. I received a call a couple of days ago asking for my address, if I'm having any dental issues and if I have insurance. We confirmed my appointment for today and that I will have X-rays, cleaning and see the dentist. Just received a call stating that since I made the appointment online they don't have a hygienist available for cleaning but I can have X-rays and see the dentist even though I confirmed everything a couple of days ago. Plus it will take a few weeks to schedule a cleaning. So now I'm hoping to find a good reliable dental practice. read more

Taylor did my cleaning , explained everything I needed to know before proceeding , then took the time to ensure my cleaning was done completely & correctly . In addition to that , Taylor impressed me was her positive attitude & outlook that brought joy to my day . Never in my life have I had a hygienist belittle me like I was today. Could I be better about my oral health yes probably just like many other people. I was literally close to crying the way she was talking to me said she can't do a normal cleaning and had to charge me 120 because my mouth is not healthy. Like get outta here with that. I drove my wife here this morning for her first appointment at this practice. When we arrived she was told that her appointment was cancelled due to the hygienist not being available. They said they had texted her but she never received a text. Not even an "I'm sorry" apology. Terrible customer service. Will not be returning here. When my dentist of several years became a periodontist, I decided to find a new regular dentist closer to home. After getting the mass mailing ad, offering a $79 new patient offer, I called, confirmed that they took my dental discount plan, and said I'd check around, as some new dental offices may give new patients free first appts. She asked me to hold, maybe they could do that. She came back on the line and told me they would, in fact, give me an exam, x-rays, and cleaning for free. I made the appointment, gave the information she requested, and confirmed the agreement in detail. She again asked me to hold while she rechecked that we were on the same page. Yup! All set for 5 months ahead, as I had just had a cleaning. Then the week before the appt I was called to change the appt. I'm retired, no problem. Then a few days later they called AGAIN to reschedule, as the dentist wouldn't be in that day. They were starting to sound a bit disorganized, but ok, new appt date. When I got there everyone was GREAT. My hygienist, Taylor, was absolutely terrific! But then she asked me to sign an agreement to pay almost $300 for services. When I told her that it was a free appt according to the person who took my call, she checked and said they knew the date and time I had called, that their "concierge service " took the call, not THEM. But they didn't know WHO took my call. So they would step up and give me the appt for the $79 that they advertise. Hmmmmmm. Because I couldn't tell them the NAME of the person I talked to (the one who answered my call with "The Ranch Dental Care"), it was implied that they didn't believe me. So I got my cleaning, paid $79, but am not expecting to be back. Although Im very disappointed, they just seem to be painfully disorganized, which, in the medical field, is pretty concerning. read more

I have been to many dentists in my life, but this is my favorite! Friendly staff, knowledgeable dentist, very clean and new equipment! I highly recommend this dentist! Fast friendly and prices are reasonable reasonable! 5 stars for sure! read more
