Very professional and qualified practice, from Dr's to the assistants and office staff everone was friendly and compassionate. I was faced with a decision to either have a lower denture made (I already had an upper) or to go with lower inplants. After looking at the options, I went with the much higher cost inplants. Big mistake. I thought that they could make my upper denture fit tighter and more secure by doing a reline. They did do one but the improvement wasn't enough to allow me to expand my food choices very much. The inplants fit well, but do seem to collect a great deal of food particles. Bottom line... really think through the cost/benefit before leaping for inplants. If I was smart, I would have had upper and lower inplants years ago when I wasn't retired and on fixed income. read more

They said they accepted my insurance. When insurance denied the bill I worked with them and my HR to resolve the issue. Once they realized they made a mistake and do not accept my insurance they stuck me with the full bill and charged me an extra $250 on top of it. I got royally screwed. read more

New to the area, received a "welcome to the neighborhood", tried to get in quickly for an emergency tooth situation. Receptionist said couldn't get us in for 3 weeks. I stated I was new to the area, looking for a family dentist long term for my family for regular maintenance and emergency same day visits when needed, would really appreciate it if they could fit my husband in earlier since he was missing a front veneer. Awesome! Entire staff has been beyond super friendly, professional, personable and accommodating to make sure I received the best possible care. I have always dreaded the dental work I had in previous out of state locations. Always painful and never easy for me. Even cleanings were complicated. So I had a major fear! I have to say, for the first time in my life when I was told it will not be painful. They were right!! And I had complete mouth of implants! They have made sure that I was always been comfortable and completely happy with every appointment. I would not go anywhere else. Personally I don't know how anyone could have a negative experience because they have always explained procedures and expenses up front and gave a complete breakdown package to me prior to getting started. I really hope people at least get a consultation first and then make your own decisions. I don't think you will be disappointed based on their work and their friendly staff. read more

The LAST DENTIST YOU WILL EVER NEED!!! - our entire staff at Flavor Laboratories uses North River Dental and they treat everyone like family (which is how we run our lab) but also they are state of the art in every phase, sanitation, equiptment and no real wait times. I would say the most IMPORTANT thing is the EXPERTISE and SPEED is THERE when these days that is hard to find. Prior to North River it was a dart throw as to using "Budget" dentist who were often young and caused far more serious issues than the "budget" lure cost. The staff here REALLY loves you, (are not faking it) and are VERY TALENTED. They have almost no employee turn over so everyone is very happy at North River Dental - the Best Dentists in the Bradenton area. none of our staff has been farmed out since to ''other' specialists. In my experience there are no people (patient) skills to be demonstrated by the office staff at North River Dental what-so-ever! They are unskilled, very rude, pushy, insulting and condescending without the chops to back it up! One particular unskilled office worker took a great deal of pleasure dismissing my wife and I from the practice. This level of arrogance is mind boggling to me since there are more than 1700 dentists in the Bradenton area all competing for new patients without an office full of unskilled staff! Why would any patient want to call this mess their dentist office? So save yourself the trouble and look else-wear. Its time for the doctor(s) here to make the hard decision to correct this practice killing situation. Stepping into their office, I knew immediately that I had finally found a great dental practice (it was just a feeling). The receptionist immediately welcomed me & greeted me w/a lovely smile. (I have been searching for a dental practice since we moved here last fall, I arrived in FL w/an ongoing dental issues & after visits to 4 different area dental practices & one horrible visit, I finally found this practice). The waiting area is well decorated, music playing & very clean. I waited just moments b/f Bonnie came to bring me to her office; and instead of the 12 sheets of paper you have to fill out b/f each & every appointment these days, she has a face to face interview. She actually asks you questions about yourself & is generally interested in you as a person, not just a patient. Their office is very technologically up-to-date, she just asked the questions, I answered & she filled in all my info on her computer. There were only 2 documents to sign, she had them printed out, pen ready (done & done) They are in-network w/my insurance, which is a huge bonus, they file the paperwork, even better & to top off this visit, everyone was super polite, friendly & seemed sincerely interested in my care as a patient. (Did I mention I had a first thing Monday am appt & no one was grumbly) ;-) Bonnie took me to meet Jordan next & she quickly did a free CT scan, you just stand there & the machine & Jordan do the rest, painless. Jordan then took me to an office where Dr. Steinberg came in to greet me; Bonnie gave him a quick review of my past dental history, they had already pulled up the CT scan on his computer screen. He was welcoming w/a sense of humor to make you feel at ease. Jordan then took a very comprehensive series of photos & x-rays - very thorough & quickly. I waited for just moments for Dr. Steinberg to return & go over everything with me. I also had scheduled a cleaning & they promptly took me back to see Kristin the hygienist, who was delightful, competent & informative. (Yes, my first visit did take some time, but I never felt rushed or left sitting unattended for a moment, they were all hard at work). They have coffee, water & cookies if you need a break. Finally, off to see Shannon who handles the insurance & follow-up appointments, again everything was already printed & ready to go. She escorted me out of the office with a pleasant good-bye. I had left a wonderful dental practice back in Atlanta & was beginning to think I would have to fly back & forth for dental visits; but I have found a practice that I feel comfortable in not only using buy highly recommending ! read more

Saw Dr. "Raj" for an emergency root canal & temp filling prior to an overseas trip. Found him highly skilled, professional & nice, like everyone at North River Dental. My husband has been a patient here for the past two years with Drs Steinberg & DelRose while undergoing a successful, beautiful mouth reconstruction with Hybridge implants. (Had five other consults before choosing this practice). Can't say enough good things about these dentists and their staffers, especially Angie (hygienist), BobbiJo(Clinical Mgr), Shannon & smiling, friendly front desk receptionist (Dava). READ THIS IT'S WORTH IT Walk the other way. Experienced a shady practice. High tech, three doctor's and high overhead, looks bright and shiny. I wasted $400.00 and almost $1,000.00 due to their insurance practices. Went in for what appeared to be a possible crown ended up an implant and an additional busted crown weeks later. For unknown reasons the assistant tapped with a metal object on a porcelain crown on the inside of the tooth. My current dentist was a bit mystified as to why the crown had a hairline crack. He took pictures for liability purposes. Example: Requested all x-ray's be sent to my current dentist. One excuse or another they were able to view about 8 of 26. Example: In the first five visits I experienced a 35 and a 80 year old woman questioning why they owe so much. Example: Had to go back following step one of the implant procedure, a metal cap fell off. They billed my insurance company for the visit. Example: My current dentist submits a pre-claim to determine the exact cost of the procedure. That was not offered. Example: My current dentist honors non covered negotiated fee's, it is a savings of $2,000.00 on one implant. Example: My wife and I have been nothing but up sold, implant vs partial, teeth whitening, night trays, specialized tooth paste etc. Without naming my current dentist, it is not the first time they have heard my story, for that matter it was not the first time their story was heard. ATLEAST save yourself the doubt, shop elsewhere. read more

The Dentist was very nice, but the office staff demonstrated a great deal of incompetence. I went in under a special program where a full set of X-rays and examine was $59.00. I wanted only 2 X-rays in problem area, but the cost was more???? I would not recommend them at all. Another dentist office using the bait and switch with patients with special offers!!!! Our family had been clients of N. River Dental for 3 years. My teenage daughter needed dental work completed. She had to postpone an appointment due to a period of time between a transfer of employment when we did not have insurance. She rescheduled the appointment for one month later once the new insurance was in place. On the rescheduled date and time, she went to the office and signed in, putting in writing via the check-in sheet that she had new insurance. They completed the dental work and then requested that she pay in full due to being out of network! She called both my husband and I who were at work, and she was unable to speak to either of us. She left a message that she needed money to be able to leave. Eventually, they let her leave and filed the insurance as an out-of-network provider. This made the bill $40 higher than it would have been with an in-network provider. When I requested a credit of the $40, they could only tell me that "the insurance company paid a large amount" and that we still owed the entire balance, including the $40 mistake that they did not foresee, although they were given the opportunity to let her know of the out-of-network status three times!!! read more

I have had 5 appointments with Dr. Raj this year already which included 2 filling replacements and a split tooth that needed a root canal and a crown. I am a certifiable freak about going to the dentist, and I feel so blessed to have met Dr. Raj. Not only does he do fantastic work, he is sensitive to the needs of an overly anxious patient. He takes time to explain procedures thoroughly, and he always demonstrates a genuine warmth and friendliness, along with a highly professional approach to treatment. Just learned today that North River Dental doesn't seem to care about running up the bill with unnecessary procedures while they smile and lead you around their offices while pushing other items and services for sale. In for a simple teeth cleaning, they insisted they had to do a complete new patient exam and took complete intraoral x-rays after being told that we had recent x-rays and would provide them. Never mind that and never mind checking to see if it is covered expense. Bonnie said they cannot keep track of everyone's insurance coverage, that is the patient's responsibility. The insurance pays 100% for these x-rays once every 4 years. Our last one was last year, so it is not covered. Bonnie said it's the patient's responsibility to stop them from doing things that would add to the bill, but while in the chair they insist that everything is covered and not to worry. I'm just guessing, but from the patients in the waiting room, I'd guess that their patents are primarily the elderly who seem to just pay the bill when it comes in and never question the friendly staff at NRD. When I questioned the bill and asked Bonnie to set it aside she said she could not and then questioned my ability to pay - I took that as an insult. When i asked to speak to her supervisor, she said she did not have a supervisor, "the partners" put her in charge of billing and that is that. I asked to speak to one of the partners and she said I could not. I asked her to let them know that if they were going to insist on this improper billing, we would have to find our dental needs elsewhere. read more

The hygenists and staff are fabulous. BUT Dr. Delrose is clearly inappropriate with staff. Worse he has terrible bedside manner, is clearly impatient, lacks an interest in explaining anything to nervous patients and is extremely arrogant. His lack of professionalism speaks volumes and sadly reflects poorly on his business in the end. The latter is unfortunate because again his staff are wonderful. read more

Amazing Practice. This office brings professionalism and class to Ellenton. The entire building is white glove clean and every single person is courteous and a consummate professional. I called as a new patient and was given an appointment within a week. The intake interview was thorough and then a complete set of x-rays was taken. The equipment is state of the art and the x-rays were displayed on a large TV in the exam room. The dentist performed a thorough exam and recommended a cleaning and filling replacement. I was scheduled for a cleaning and dental work a couple of days later. The cleaning was one of the best I have ever had. I have very sensitive teeth and cleanings are often painful. The hygienist could tell where the sensitive spots were and used techniques that cleaned all the teeth without any pain. This alone is enough for me to come back here always. For my filling replacement, a different dentist than the first examined my teeth again and then she completely explained the steps for the procedure. It was completed painlessly and quickly. From the receptionist to the technicians to the dentists, this Dental Practice is hands down the best I have ever been to; PERIOD!! read more

Don't go here if you value your teeth. This idiot dentist said i had a small cavity that didn't need novacaine and could just be sand papered down well he sand papered it down allright right down to the nerve. Had excruciating pain when i got home. called him back and he said he didn't do it and maybe the pain was coming from a top tooth not this one he did was on the bottom so I was like huh? A tooth on the top is causing the pain of the tooth you just worked on? Really? So had no choice but had to now go to my husband's dentist the next day all while in severe pain still and this dentist confirmed this idiot went to far down and hit the nerve so now I had to have his negligent work repaired by having a " comfort filling" put in more work and more money and I am extremely nervous to go to the dentist in the first place. So thank you dumb so called dentist for now making me even more nervous to go to a dentist and because of your hard hands and dumb decision to not use novacaine I now suffer with this same tooth with pain on and off - Please listen if you want to keep your teeth don't go here. He will make sure you lose your teeth or have to keep coming back over and over just to get your money. He is only money motivated - this place is BAD. read more
