So I found a very pretty station necklace,it was listed as rose quartz,rhodolite garnet and white topaz set in 18k gold. Purchased it,and when I received it it the marking actually said 925S which is silver the necklace waa only gold plate,I was disappointed. But it gets even better I took it right back in person to the Real Real in Houston. As the associate processed my return she didn't ask why I was returning it so I told her FYI the necklace was listed as 18k which is fraudulent because it was clearly marked 925S. I didn't even receive an apology,but it gets better a few days later the necklace is relisted right back onto the Real Real with the same information,now the company was told its a fake,yet they still used the exact same listing which is very fraudulent. The company was notified it was fake and they still sold it to some other person hoping they wouldn't notice. read more

I placed an order online but the sizes I order were small. I called to hold on to the bigger sizes but they said no. I rushed to the store for exchange then the lady said they don't have bigger sizes available any more. I asked them to alter the sizes she said they are going to charge $30.00 per suit. I talked to the owner that the alteration is free of cost but he said it's never free. I am long time customer and I had altered the outfits earlier free of cost. Now they are charging a lot of money . And the service is bad. read more

ZERO STAR IF I COULD I URGENTLY CAUTION against engaging with The RealReal for consignment services!!! My experience represents an egregious case of gross mismanagement, deceptive practices, and utterly deplorable customer service, resulting in significant distress, and wasted time. On April 18, 2025, a representative from The RealReal arrived at my residence to collect a high-value designer bag for consignment. I was assured by their "concierge" that the evaluation and listing process would take no longer than two weeks, and that I could request my bag back at "anytime". This promise was the first of many flagrant misrepresentations! Six weeks elapsed--until May 31, 2025--before I received any update, despite my relentless efforts to obtain information. Throughout this period, The RealReal maintained complete silence, forcing me to repeatedly contact the representative who collected my item. Responses, when they came, were infrequent, dismissive, and invariably instructed me to "wait." After finally authenticating and accepting my bag in "excellent" and "authentic" condition--consistent with its original state--they proposed a listing price, which I accepted. Yet, no further action was taken. By June 5, 2025, nearly two months after relinquishing my bag, it remained unlisted. I was left in a state of extreme unease, questioning the whereabouts and handling of my valuable property. My attempts to seek clarity: countless calls, emails, and text messages (all documented) were routed through an indifferent customer service representatives, they were all different people at each time. Each interaction required me to recount the entire saga anew, as no continuity, or accountability existed within their system. These representatives displayed a shocking lack of urgency, offering ZERO resolutions, and refusing to escalate my concerns to senior management capable of addressing the issue. There was this person who was supposed to be their upper "customer care", whom emailed me a few times to set up a call with me, to supposedly help me with the situation, I set up the call with her 3 times with time & date within the window she gave me, she did not call. She wasted my time taking off work, sitting around waiting for 3 times in the row. She called back out of the sudden (unscheduled, when I was not expecting her) after 11 days MIA, to ask me if I needed help AFTER the bag was already sent out by someone else. After this prolonged nightmare of delays, frustration, and uncertainty, The RealReal delivered a baseless and infuriating claim on June 8: that my bag, previously accepted as "excellent," was now deemed "altered" and would not be listed. This abrupt reversal was unsupported by evidence, and my requests for documentation or explanation were ignored. Only after exhaustive demands did they agree to return my bag, which was finally sent back to me on June 18, 2025--two months after the initial collection. The entire process was a grievous waste of trust, time, and emotional energy. This company's conduct is utterly reprehensible. The RealReal's systemic failures--misleading assurances, prolonged retention of valuable property without justification, and refusal to provide transparency or accountability--reflect a profound disregard for their clients. My prior experiences with their retail services, involving returns for inauthentic or misrepresented items, further corroborate their untrustworthiness. The people who work here are a few fries short of a happy meal. The company is not coherently run. We dropped off a bag for consignment and they shipped it back to us after claiming they couldn't contact us. THEY HAD THE WRONG PHONE NUMBER ON FILE. We contacted them multiple times and corrected the phone number multiple times. Apparently that was not enough for these morons. Good riddance. read more

I arrived on a Sunday afternoon, only to be told that the store only allows six customers inside at a time--just to shop! I waited about 10 minutes and ultimately left. It's a store, not a nightclub. Ridiculous policy and a frustrating experience. read more
