Well after putting it off for 5 years my wife and I finally decided to get rid of the UGLY ceiling lighting in our kitchen and replace them with recessed lights; our only concern was who to call. After reading review after review online a friend told us about Kirk Sumida, the owner and craftsman at Recessedlightguy. I sent a picture of my current lighting along with what I wanted to do and he actually came over later that evening to get a look. I was really impressed with Kirk, the way he carried himself, and the apparent pride that he takes in his work. I scheduled the work for the next day, happy to say goodbye to my ugly kitchen lights. He showed up the next morning on time (already ahead of the other contractors that we have used) and began "walling off" the entire area in plastic to protect our kitchen. We found Kirk online and checked yelp of course and saw that he had good reviews. We called him and he gave us a ballpark estimate after describing the work. After sending him images of what we were looking to do he gave us a final estimate, which was cheaper than the other places we got quotes from. He was available the next week so we booked him. He arrived at 7am when we said he would be by. We had him change the fluorescent lights in our kitchen, change the outdated light over our sink, add another light over the counter, then change 4 lights old low voltage lights, all to new LED Recessed lights. I thought this would have been a long days work, but Kirk really knew what he was doing. He was done by 2pm with all that work and everything looked and worked great!
