I finally made it to Miya. And wow. I'm super bummed that it's taken so long for me to get there because this place is awesome! The clothing is adorable and the selection is great! The prices are very reasonable as-is, but during this particular visit, they had quite a bit on sale--up to 75% off! I also loved the unique jewelry selection here. Lots of chunky necklaces, chains with pendants, and beaded or metal goodness. And let's not forget the scarves and handbags! There was also a lot of adorable home decor and furniture; I guess they do a lot of custom interior design as well. Honestly, I felt like the buyer for this store had a very similar taste to my own--I wanted to buy up the entire inventory! However, since I'm trying to shop less, I only left with two lovely tops for me and one for my sister--all for about $60. I honestly never would have expected a little gem like this to exist in little ol' Syracuse, Utah. I drive by Miya every time I go to my mother's house, but the standalone brick building never really caught my eye. I've got to say, even if you don't live in the area, this place is worth the trip.

Andrea West Design

Shocked and disappointed. I followed Andrea West on social media and she posted a cute reel…read morefeaturing a handful of kitchen decor. I purchased everything she linked in the reel. A cutting board, a crock, and a cheese board for $125+! All three items arrived broken or damaged (see pics). I emailed Andrea West Design on Jul 1, Jul 5, and Jul 7 requesting a return and refund of the defective items. I never heard back. On Jul 12, I called Andrea West Design at the ph# listed on their website. It is a cell phone that goes straight to voicemail. Tried it a few times, voicemail all the time. Never got ahold of anyone. I finally filed a chargeback on my credit card since Andrea West Design wasn't responding to me after my purchase. Nearly a month goes by, and I finally get an email from Andrea's husband, Aaron West, stating they had "staff turnover" in July and my emails "didn't get forwarded." He lied and said they had already refunded me. They hadn't, but I did have a temporary credit from my Visa company while they investigated the chargeback. A few days after receiving Aaron West's email, I received a call back from Visa who said they spoke to Aaron West and that he said I "never contacted them" and that "If I had contacted them, he would have refunded me." Outright lies. I had the e-mail from Aaron acknowledging he had seen my previous e-mails! My Visa co asked if I wanted to send proof of my original emails during the month of July, and I said I did. So I forwarded those to the investigator working my chargeback as well as the pics attached here. I also forwarded Aaron's email proving he lied about never hearing from me. A few days later, I won my chargeback and got a permanent refund. I could not believe that not only did they completely ignore me for a month when I all I wanted to do was return the broken items, he then lied to my Visa company and said I never contacted them and he would have refunded if I had. Shocking. Luckily, I save everything so I had proof. Buyer beware. All items ended up in the garbage.

We have had two major replacements / installs in the past year from Mountain Home Services. Their customer service and support exceeds expectations and is the best I have seen in this industry in over 20 years and three states we lived in and replaced similar systems. Last spring they relaced our heater / AC with new high efficiency Lennox units and today they replaced our two water heaters with Rheem units. Both installs were done professionally and their install staff are the best, brightest, respectful, and honest. Kudos to Nate who did our install today! Everyone is amazing to work with and the work they do is not the minimum of what is needed, but what will last the life of the systems. I know I can trust them and they have our back. Well done MHS!

Momentum was also very reasonably priced. As for the work itself, the installation was done thoughtfully, making sure to incorporate my special requests. I'm thrilled with the work they did. The other bids wouldn't have allowed us to put hardwood into our family room, but Pedro's was within our budget. We had a specific look we were looking for and he did it. He responded before the job to all inquiries promptly and he did the same even after the job was over. He started and completed the job on schedule. He worked hard and paid attention to details. He communicated extremely well during the work too. We had a previous refinisher that left swirl marks in the hardwood. No swirl marks now. I HIGHLY recommend Pedro and his team to anyone that needs hardwood flooring refinishing or installation.
